lil pining!cyrus drabble that no one asked for

Cyrus was totally, 100% fine with keeping things between him and TJ on the down-low while they were figuring things out between them. However, it were moments like these that made it particularly hard to restrain himself from just running right up to the boy and either kissing him or hugging the life out of him. Either would work just fine.

He was chatting with Marty as he waited in the cafeteria line, all smiles and bright green eyes, and that was already bad enough in itself. When he ran his fingers casually through his dirty blonde hair, following this up with an airy laugh, Cyrus was forced to abandon his conversation with Andi entirely. He stared over her shoulder, face tinged red, and rested his chin on his hands with a lovesick sigh.

Andi paused, turning around to look at what had suddenly captured his attention, and she let out an amused scoff when her eyes found TJ amongst the crowd.

“I’m starting to think he could breathe and you’d die somehow.”

Cyrus opened his mouth to respond, but closed it again when TJ repeated the action, running a careless hand through his hair.

“Oh my god. Andi, if you’re taking ideas for your next art piece-“

“I’m not starring TJ in an art piece,” she interrupted, laughing slightly at the dopey smile on his face.

“That’s okay,” he answered, still staring across the room, “he’s already art, anyway.”

TJ must’ve eventually felt the weight of Cyrus’ gaze on him, because he looked over and an even brighter smile appeared on his face as he gave Cyrus a cute little wave.

“Okay!” he announced, dropping his head gently down against the table with a thud, “that’s it. I’m dead.”

“Ugh, but I don’t know CPR,” Andi whined. Cyrus’ responding laughter was muffled slightly by the arm he had out in front of him.

Within a matter of thirty seconds TJ was approaching their table, his expression a mixture of both confusion and amusement.

“Uh...are you okay there, Cy?”

That had him jolting slightly, lifting his head and offering the boy an embarrassed smile.

“Yeah! Yeah, totally,” he insisted, and TJ just lifted a playful eyebrow.

“Okay,” he answered slowly, gently biting his lip, “I’ll see you after class, yeah?”

With that, he was pushing the hair back from his forehead and walking back towards Marty, who seemed to have dissolved right into laughter.

Cyrus looked after him, eyes wide, and Andi snorted.

“Was...that on purpose?” he stammered.

Andi smiled. “I think Marty must’ve told him about your biggest weaknesses.”

Cyrus nodded calmly as he pulled out his phone, tapping on Marty’s contact.

Cyrus: hello marty :)

Marty: hello cyrus!!

Cyrus: have you been telling tj any compromising information recently? :)

Marty: ...perhaps

Cyrus: mARTY HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO *NOT* KISS MY BOYFRIEND AT SCHOOL WHEN HES OUT HERE RUNNING HIS HAND THROUGH HIS HAIR AND BITING HIS LIP LIKE THAT

Marty: oops :D

Cyrus: okay then bye, i’m telling buffy how cute you find it when she twirls her hair and does her lil head tilt thing!!

yes. each script generally will have a cut scene or two, and a lot of cut lines. 21:30 in an episode is hard to do.

Andi Mack Season 4

So I spent awhile coming up with a whole plot line for season 4 of andi mack since I am still bitter about it ending. These are vague on purpose, of course, and I tried to stick with what I think would actually happen! I still might write this at some point, but I have so much going on so I’m not sure. Anyway, enjoy my own descriptions for season 4 :) I’d love a reblog if you enjoyed them!

Also, this is still a WIP, so I may come back to update these descriptions/change them if I come up with new ideas!

4x01 | Starting SAVA: Andi tries to find her place at SAVA. Meanwhile, Buffy and Cyrus adjust to not having Andi around during school. Bex and Bowie contemplate their future.

4x02 | Meet and Greeting: Andi makes some new friends. Buffy and TJ navigate their new roles on their basketball teams. Amber seeks advice. 

4x03 | Back to the Ol’ Grind: TJ and Cyrus have difficulty finding time to be together. Jonah gets a job. Andi and Buffy talk about their new schools. 

4x04 | Revival of the Fittest:  Andi works on her first major art project for school. Jonah and Amber help Cyrus with his image. Buffy and Marty‘s competitive nature leads to problems in their relationship.

4x05 | Building Bridges: Andi helps out a peer. Cyrus comes out to his parents. Buffy and Marty go on their first official date, but it doesn’t go how they planned. 

4x06 | Save Shadyside (Then the World): Bex goes to the doctor. Buffy struggles during her first high school basketball game. TJ introduces Cyrus to a new side of him. 

4x07 | New friends, old faces: Cyrus and Buffy come to support Andi’s first piece of art in a gallery show. A figure from their past returns. 

4x08 | Menorah Days Together: Cyrus invites TJ over for a Hanukkah celebration. The GHC band together to help the less fortunate. Amber visits Andi’s school for the first time.

4x09 | Kiss or Miss: TJ and Cyrus are nervous about taking the next step in their relationship. Amber takes Andi out for a day of fun and relaxation.

4x10 | Birds of a Feather: Andi finds herself feeling left out. Jonah is intent on forming a band. Buffy and Cyrus protest when a Muslim student is treated unfairly.  

4x11 | Meet the Parents: Cyrus officially meets TJ’s parents as his boyfriend. Cece reminisces on raising Bex with Andi. Bex and Bowie share some exciting news.

4x12 | Sibling Chivalry: TJ gives Andi advice on dealing with siblings. Buffy worries about her future. Meanwhile, Bowie has a heart to heart with Jonah. MIDSEASON FINALE

4x13 | Inspiration, Motivation: As the due date gets closer, Andi helps design her sibling-to-be’s nursery. Cyrus uses TJ as an inspiration to write his next screenplay. Cece helps Bex. 

4x14 | Who Will You Be?: Bex and Bowie throw a nontraditional baby shower which causes problems with Cece. Andi comes up with a plan. 

4x15 | As We Grow: Andi and Bex have a girls day out. Jonah talks to his parents about his anxiety. Buffy and Marty find a new hobby. 

4x16 | All’s Not Fair in Love and War: Jonah runs into Libby again. Buffy makes history at Grant High School which leads to jealousy. Cyrus and TJ get into their first fight since getting together.

4x17 | Baby Tater Tribulation: Everyone comes together to protest The Spoon closing. Cyrus must make a decision.  

4x18 | Friends at the End: Meeting Andi’s new art school peers has the GHC questioning whether they’ll always be best friends. 

4x19 | What the Future Holds: Andi juggles with the stress of her final art project of freshman year as well as her sibling arriving soon. TJ asks Cyrus an important question. 

4x20 | Dance Tell We Drop: Grant High School holds its end of the year dance. Jonah makes a grand gesture.  

4x21 | We Will Always: Bex goes into labor. Andi finally reveals her art project. The group has one last meal at The Spoon. FINALE

Why do you write?

Simple as that, drop one reason why you write. Could be small, could be huge. I write because I want to create characters that other people will love as deeply as I do.

oh boy here i am with another analysis no one asked for

this is about the tragedy that was kira + implied homophobia 

we all know that from the moment TJ met Cyrus he was struck by him. For TJ, it was like wow, here is this person and wow wow wow this person is AMAZING. and the more they spend time together, the more TJ is just hit over and over by how funny and awesome and kind and cool and loving Cyrus is. and TJ does not keep these feelings to himself. in fact, TJ shows off and talks about Cyrus CONSTANTLY. 

TJ has no problem talking about Cyrus to other people, especially all his friends, and he literally shows him off and brags about him as if they’re already dating.

TJ has never felt the need to hide his affection for Cyrus before, ever, because why would he? This is the greatest person in the world, of course I’m gonna talk about him every chance I get! Of course I’m going to do a costume with him bc I want to show the world that we are a pair! It’s our thing! He’s my person, hear all about it!

So when Kira comes along, why would she be any different? Of course he’s gonna excitedly tell this girl about Cyrus, because Cyrus is his favorite FREAKING thing to talk about and he is so excited about their inside joke and to display to people that he and Cyrus have their own special things.

seriously look how SMUG he is about their special inside joke. Unbelievable. Smitten and not afraid to show it !

But then, something new happens. 

what is it? a subtle sprinkling of HOMOPHOBIA, BABY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For maybe the first time, TJ is being called out on how much he talks about Cyrus, on how attached he is to him, on how close they are. And he’s being called out not in a “wow you really like him huh :)” kind of way, but in a “oh wow, he’s a boy and you really like him, yikes, thats weird” kind of way.

So suddenly, for the first time, he’s analyzing everything about his relationship with Cyrus. Before, he never thought about showing him off and talking about him– it was just natural, he never questioned it before! He had never before thought “wow why do I talk about Cyrus so much, why do I touch him so much, why do I want to spend so much time with him, why is he the person I want to do a couples costume with”, he just did those things automatically bc it felt right! It felt natural.

BUT NOW he is forced to think about the implications of all that– more specifically, the negative implications that Kira thinks it’s weird or wrong in some way.

NOW, we know that this doesn’t cause TJ to change his behavior around Cyrus, in private or public. In 3x18, he still acts ridiculously and openly flirtatious, like he always had, because there’s no one he feels judged (ha) by, he doesn’t need to hide anything, no one is making him overthink his actions.

BUT, it does change his behavior when he’s around Kira, because she is the one person who does make him overthink, who does make him feel like he needs to downplay their relationship. Which leads me to this interaction which was like a brief second but REALLY stood out to me:

if anyone else had asked him that question, he would have answered with “Cyrus! my funny kind smart person! look he got me this shirt! isn’t that nice! did i mention he’s funny” but now, TJ doesn’t do that with Kira. because he subconsciously wants to avoid feeling like his affection for Cyrus is wrong. so if he just hides his affection from her, he doesn’t have to overthink it. He doesn’t have to deal with what Kira is telling him: “you have a crush on Cyrus” and moreover “you should feel bad about it.”

which is why when she makes him go on the swings, he feels like he has to, because not swinging would be admitting to kira that cyrus is so important to him that swinging with another person would be an act of betrayal. and the last time he rejected something because of cyrus (double dribble costume idea) he got that blast of homophobia. so, just like the double dribble costume, he gives in and swings with her to avoid this homophobia, to avoid feeling wrong and bad. 

anyways this whole thing sucked and im really glad he finally called her out bc he deserves to brag about cyrus, his now BOYFRIEND, to anyone and everyone without feeling like he needs to hold back. send tweet.
