A job well done, or at least he’d like to presume so. Unfortunately, due to certain events he was unable to stay for long periods of time. It would drain him out terribly, and that meant he’d have to return to that nightmare in order to charge.

So when he had saved Ophelia from the advances of an aggressive bear, he could feel exhaustion creeping into his body. He excused himself, quick to wish to leave.

However, a hand on his wrist stopped the demon from exiting the area.

“What more do you need?” Dipper asked, turning to her with a tired gaze. His hands trembled, feeling as if he was almost unable to stay upright. “I really need to get going..”

If Bill’s summoning was ever used, Dipper instead would be summoned due to the boy taking Bill’s role. While he isn’t like the demon, the magic that floods through his veins wish to conjure chaos while Dipper desires as normal of a life as he could have.

Well, he seemed nice. He certainly seemed like someone who would understand her little quirks. Though… there was something off about him. She couldn’t quite put her finger on it, but she was sure it was probrably nothing.

“Help? If you don’t mind me asking sir, what kind of help could you provide me?”

He just thought that she might have needed some help carrying her bags. It seemed like quite a lot to carry to him, besides the demon was bored out of his mind. With no adventures to go on with Mabel, nor the usual busyness of the Mystery Shack.. Needless to say his life had little to no flair to it.

Unusual for one with such abilities.

“Well-Ah! I mean, you just seemed like you were carrying a lot of bags and I thought you would need help!” That usual awkwardness stuttered out from talking to strangers, yet he did want to make a friend of sorts.

One who didn’t know his past.

Confusion shone in emerald orbs as the girl approached him. He cocked his head, about to ask what it was that she needed when her hands were suddenly upon his cheeks. Dipper’s eyes widened when pressure was applied and his cheeks were squished.

He remained like that, until he slapped her hands away and stared with a rather annoyed look. A demon shouldn’t just.. Be walked over like this, surely?! He should be feared!

No! That wasn’t what he wanted!

“What was that for?” A quiet question, paired with a confused folding of the arms.

Admittedly she had to squint her eyes a LITTLE, for the dark MADE  it rather hard to MAKE out the silhouette before her. However, when she finally realized who it was her LIPS curled forming a SMILE and with her curiosity now piqued she would approach the other.

❝ it’s super dark! wouldn’t you feel better walkin’ in the day time? ❞

The darkness shrouded his body, and for once it was one of the few things that brought him comfort. It was hard to see in, thus making it difficult to stop the lonely demon. Being seen was what he didn’t expect and his eyes widened as he was approached.

“I... Must say that I prefer walking at night.” Who was this girl? She looked like Pacifica and yet..? Acted like Mabel.
