I have a reason!! He knew a guy in his unit who was named O'Conner who was also Irish and looked really similar, but he died and it freaked Gills out. Somehow Gills is convinced it just old O'conner haunting him and he just gets so uneasy Gills doesn't really treat him as nice as others.

I feel like I should mention that my swtd OC, Gills, has beef with O'Conner for no reason other than he can. Just pure one sided hatred because I wanted to make him more interesting.
