I made sure to spend a lot of time at Sean's welcome back party. I feel like I did and heard a lot but still nowhere near everything.
I feel like I need to start spending way more time at camp. Just all of the side conversations that happen. I've heard a lot of new ones but can't help but wonder how much I miss out on.
And I love that most of the time you stand around listening to the conversations they'll usually directly address Arthur being there.

Confession time:
I restarted my low honor playthrough a couple of days ago because I felt very guilty after having to kill a dog. I'm being less psychopathic this time around and more calculated with what I do.
So far, it's been working out because I've gotten 0 bounties placed on me so far.

Not a doctor's appointment this morning ruining my chance to see Marilyn Manson is September because tickets are already sold out only a few hours after the presale began. 😭
I should have just interrupted my doctor and bought tickets in the middle of my appointment.
On the bright side, I got to have a day off of work, and that's never a bad thing. I thought I might have to come in late, but they didn't need me to.

Just loaded up the game, and I'm chilling in camp right now.
Susan came over to me to chastise Arthur for killing a lot of innocent people.
Not gonna lie, I kind of like low honor Arthur. I might actually be able to stick with it.

I did start a second playthrough of RDR2 tonight. I got to Chapter 2 but haven't done any missions in yet.
In honor of trying to play low honor Arthur, I mainly killed lone travelers while collecting the six gold bars I know where to find in the general area.
I also tamed a wild horse, almost got bit by two rattlesnakes, and killed a bunch of O'Driscolls.
I've also discovered that I really like greet, antagonize, defuse when talking to the other gang members.

I have made the executive decision to replay the second game before I replay the first game.
I highly doubt I'm going to ever 100% either of the games, so the fact that I did all of the side missions in 1 but not in 2 has largely led me to that decision. Plus, Arthur's death is easier for me to handle than John's.
I'll do what challenges I can as well. I know I won't do all, but, now that I know the main storyline, I feel like I'll be less tempted to "rush" through the game to see how it all ends.
I can just take my time, meet some new NPCs, and finish the side missions for some NPCs that I started but didn't complete.
I might try for a low honor Arthur, even though I hear that ending isn't good and I suck at sticking to being "evil" in playthroughs. We'll see how it goes.

I'm officially done with the second game.
I guess I was indirectly right about the ring, after all. Arthur just didn't directly hand it to John. That hurt so much.
But, honestly, even though I knew he would be fine, Rufus getting bit by a snake was the worst thing the game did to me.
I'm now wondering if I want to replay the second game right away, instead of the first. The percentages say I completed more of the second, but the only things I didn't do in the first were most of the challenges and some of the gang hideouts. Whereas, in the second, I did skip quite a few stranger missions (99% sure I did all of them in the first game) because there were just so many, and I was really invested in the main storyline.
I already know, based on some YouTube comments I read for a video on Chapter 6, I missed a couple of NPCs from stranger missions that are important to Arthur in the brief time he knows them, so I know there's some good stuff I skipped.
I will ponder it and decide this afternoon.

As much as I love having Beecher's Hope all built, I could do without seeing this barn.

Did I get way too excited when he put this outfit on?
Yes, I did.
I guess I missed playing as John way more than I thought. I can't wait to immediately replay the first game once I'm done with this one.

Just loaded up the game.
Out of habit, pressed J, not really expecting anything to happen.
But John kept Arthur's journal and is now writing in it himself.
It's too early to cry right now. 😭

I was right about Arthur giving John something. I was just wrong about the object.
His hat...That hurt so much worse for some reason.
I will say I cried more over John's death in the first game than Arthur's death. That's probably because I was unprepared for it--whereas, I knew Arthur was going to die.
And I've never felt more conflicted about a character than I do about Dutch right now. On the one hand, fuck him for not actually going back for John and telling Arthur that John died. But he ultimately didn't leave with Micah and his "I..." to Arthur...I don't know. I feel like he was going to offer up a sincere apology.
It feels good to be playing as John again. Unpopular opinion probably, but I do prefer him to Arthur, and him being the only to stand with Arthur...I love him. I'm also now really doubting my ability to do a dishonorable run of this game because leaving John and going for the money. I could never do that.

About to start the final five missions in Chapter 6. Wish me luck.
I have plenty of tissues by me, and I don't think they'll be enough.
I've been dreading this moment ever since I decided to buy the game. Damn Steam Summer sale making 75% off too tempting to resist.

I highly suspect that Arthur is going to give Mary's ring to John to give to Abigail, and I will lose it if that happens.
In other news, I'm five missions away from being finished with Chapter 6, so I'm definitely on track to finish it tonight...and to hopefully start the epilogue because I'm ready to play as John again.

Curiosity got the better of me.
I bought the official guide and just looked at the Chapter 6 flowchart to see how many main storyline missions I have left. It looks like ~11.
I just didnt want to be caught unprepared (i.e., without tissues) like I was with the first game.
If all goes according to plan, I might be finishing the chapter tonight. If not, for sure tomorrow morning.
As much as it's going to kill me, I'm excited to play as John again and will probably head straight into doing a replay of the first game because so much will mean so much more to me now. After I'm done with that, I'm sure I'll replay the second as well. I'm telling myself right now I'll be dishonorable for both replays because I've been very honorable otherwise. Although, I doubt I'll be able to follow through. We'll see.
Also, probably a very unpopular opinion, but I do like John a tad bit more than Arthur.

I'm officially in the final chapter and have already done a few main story missions in it.
I went through so many emotions in the span of the few hours I played tonight.
The highlight was definitely hearing "Unshaken" play when you travel to Shady Belle after getting back from Guarma. I've listened to the soundtrack a million times and love that song. I just kind of assumed it was an end of game song, so I was not expected to hear it then.
I'm just going to ignore how much I hate seeing Dutch slowly descend into madness and the whole Arthur has TB thing (a spoiler I knew, but it didn't make it any easier to watch that scene).
