Miranda Barbour is a 19 year old Serial Killer who murdered between 22 and 100 people in the space of 6 years. When she was 13 she joined a Satanic Cult and spent her teenage years on a nationwide murder spree. Miranda was sexually abused when she was 4 and she said she only killed ‘bad people’. She also claimed that she had a favourite knife and each time she murdered someone she would put a notch in it.

- A Family History :Homes seemed to outward appearances to be normal, they were in fact dysfunctional.

- Inadequate Parenting: These children grew up in environment in which their own actions were ignored, and which there were no limits set in their own behavior.

- Missing Fathers: From ages eight to twelve, all the negative tendencies present in their early childhoods were exacerbated and reinforced. In this period, a male child needs a father, and it was in just this time period that fathers of half the subjects disappeared in one way or another.

- Dysfunctional Sexual Development: As the psychologically damaged boys get closer to adolescence, they find that they are unable to develop the social skills that are precursors to sexual skills and that are the coin of positive emotional relationships.

- Pursuing Negative Outlets: Adolscence in these troubled youngsters was dominated by increasing isolation and “acting out” behavior, with lots of daydreaming, compulsive masturbation, lying, bed-wetting, and nightmares as concomtiants of isolation.

- Schools Add to Neglect: School systems as well as families fail these children. Too often, confronted with a problem child, a school system does not get him ro counseling, or, if counseling is done, it does not address the significant issues in his life, especially including those pertaining to the dysfuntional home.

White Torture

White torture is a type of psychological torture that includes extreme sensory deprivation an disolation. Carrying out this type of torture makes the detainee lose personal identity through long periods of isolation. 

The idea ia to bring the victim to madness with their thoughts. They have no outside sounds and are only fed white rice. With no outside stimuli, the victim begins to hallucinate both sights and sounds with in the first 15 minutes. As days pass, the victim loses personal identity and in some cases have begged to be beaten just for the sake of experiencing reality.

On September 20, 1989, Richard Ramirez, also known as ”The Night Stalker“ was convicted of the following:

• 13 counts of murder

• 5 attempted murders

• 11 sexual assaults

• 14 burglaries.

On November 7, 1989, he was sentenced to die in California’s gas chamber. After the sentence, he told reporters; ”Big deal. Death always went with the territory. See you in Disneyland.“

Some believe that Edward Gein killed his brother Henry on May 16, 1944. Ed and Henry were burning vegetation on the farm and the fire got out of hand very quickly. Later that day, Ed reported his brother missing. Authorities soon discovered Henry’s dead body. Henry had been dead for hours, and the cause of death appeared to be heart failure. Later, multiple bruises were found on Henry’s head. Many believe that Ed did in fact kill his brother, but it was never confirmed.

Like many serial killers, Ted Bundy created fake names to conceal his true identity. Some of these names include: Chris Hagen, Kenneth Misner, Officer Roseland, Richard Burton and Rolf Miller

Richard Ramirez’s father, Julian, was extremely abusive towards Richard and his siblings. Julian had sudden angry outbursts and would often take them out on the kids or himself. Once, Julian got so angry that he hit himself repeatedly with a hammer until he bled. Richard often slept at a local cemetery to escape his father’s abuse.

Serial killer Richard Chase, also known as ”The Vampire of Sacramento“ often injected animal blood into his system. By doing this, he thought it would prevent his heart from shrinking. In 1975, he was hospitalized after injecting rabbit’s blood into his veins. Shortly after, he was committed to a mental institution. The staff there began referring to him as ”Dracula“. They discovered dead birds outside the hospital window, and Chase admitted that he drank the blood from the birds. On several occasions, he’d defecate on himself and smear his feces on the walls. A year after undergoing treatments involving psychotropic drugs, he was released to his mother.

They are used by law enforcement to identify the suspect for wanted posters, warn the general public about serious offenders as well as being used as evidence against a suspect.

During his time on death row, Ted Bundy mostly kept to himself. The stress he felt on the outside world from having to maintain his image began to alleviate once incarcerated. More than likely due to lack of remorse, it seems as though Ted Bundy shrugged off the reason he was behind bars: It’s just done! it’s back there in the mists.” he told one interviewer. “I say ‘mists’ because I don’t think anyone actually touches the past the way they can touch the present or future.” For a period of time, he became a vegetarian. Florida State Prison does not cater to individual requests, thus Ted Bundy changed his religious affiliation to Hindu, giving him the legal right to be served a vegetarian diet. He also often spoke of his obsession with socks and desire to own a new pair for each day: “Socks are such a serious part of my life.  They’re so very important to me. I’ve got a sock fetish.  No question about it.  I must have six or seven pairs right here with me in my cell.” Before being apprehended, Ted Bundy had been an avid marijuana smoker: “I’m strictly a marijuana man. All I do is… I love to smoke refer,” he said to Hugh Aynesworth. This habit followed Bundy to death row and Carol Boone was more than happy to accommodate by smuggling marijuana to Bundy. He was said to ”drift on a cloud of smuggled marijuana and hashish. All in all, with his dope and his socks and his mysticism, Bundy was a mellow prisoner.”
