Hometown Buffet. Visalia, CA
If you are ever in Visalia, CA and you're craving some good food, don't go here. My first impression was a long, long line. Not a problem, I can wait. I always figure that long lines are a good sign. People must really enjoy the food, so tables fill up quickly, right? Wrong. It turned out that there were many tables cleaned and ready for customers to sit. It was the staff that was just being slow and not getting the customers in very quickly. After about a half hour wait, (With only 2 other parties ahead of us) we finally got into the restaurant and sat down at our table. We got our food and, being a food lover, it looked good. Unfortunately, there were no forks to be seen. We had to search for an employee to tell them that there were no forks and that employee took her sweet time getting us food. Hungry and agitated, we finally sat down to eat. The meat there was very dry, but by this time, I'm not surprised. We eat what we had, because at least it was edible. After dinner comes dessert. Now, I was not in the ice cream mood and was craving cheesecake, so that's all I ate for dessert. Best part of my night. But my brother-in-law decided to get the ice cream for him and his son. The ice cream machine was very slow and ended up running out of ice cream! But the worst part? He tried to pull a cone from the dispenser, but it wouldn't come out, so he opens the lid to grab one off the top. In the cone dispenser, he sees something horrific and disgusting: a cockroach! He ended up eating his ice cream in a bowl. My brother-in-law asks for the manager and kindly let's him know that there's a cockroach in the cone dispenser. The manager was not surprised and just said, "oh," and did nothing about it! I will never eat there again. Too expensive for such little quality. ⭐❌❌❌❌

The Mango Dragonfruit Refresher from Starbucks is sweet and tangy. It wasn’t exactly what I expected when I took my first sip; I was expecting something sweeter. But with every sip after that, it got sweeter and my taste buds loved it. Obviously it has a lot of sugar, like everything in Starbucks does, but it’s definitely not the worst thing on the menu - taste and health-wise. Although, if you don’t drink it fast enough, it starts to become very watery. I had mine for about a half an hour before it started losing its flavor. Overall, it’s a great drink that you would get on a hot summer day when you’re craving a little treat. ⭐⭐⭐⭐❌
