This is Rind (Half-Tail) before she got her shit wrecked and Agnes, her friend and former professional human. Both are very good and upstanding explorers, but who thought it was a good idea to task two children with saving the world? Honestly now, this only could’ve ended in disaster.

Moth Knight

She was formerly just called Moth but I promoted her lol.

I really went and aged up all my Puffballs. Last time I wrote Moth she was just kind of a senior warrior or something. For her reboot she’s actually old, like an elder.

Moth Knight is long-lived and still really good about magic. She is at least aware of almost every kind. She also knows well one important fact of it: Magic sometimes requires sacrifice. As a result of once incident, she’s completely blind.

Not too willing to put a blind lady into the front lines, she became a mentor to magic. Her hand picked students were the cream of the crop and the best of the best. Tigris Knight was one of her most prized students.

Now that there isn’t a war anymore, people have to seek her out if they want to have a chance at becoming her student. Thankfully she lives a perfectly peaceful life in retirement.

Feather Knight

That armor looks really sophisticated on you! But why do I feel like the mask looks familiar?

I couldn’t find anything that made a good name for this one, so I ran her original name through a translator and Vanille works for me. This one is a full on adult now! And pretty skilled at it too. She’s responsible and educated, a refined and cultured lady you can trust with your child or as a plus one to a classy event. Among Puffball beauty standards, she’s also quite desirable and adored for her elegance. Her snowy white wings are said to resemble those of a swan, even.

But swans are also known for being protective, sometimes outright aggressive birds. Her knightly title isn’t a joke, and she handles a spear like its nobody’s business. Others sometimes call her “The Valkyrie Knight.”

Feather Knight essentially grew up early in order to get to this level of respect and status. She enjoys the positive attention her grace gets her, however she does admit that sometimes she feels deeply lonely because of it.

Tigris Knight

Formerly known as Cinnamon Sweet.

Sick robes kid. Not sure if the mask was needed but it’s a nice touch. I aged this one up and her older sister too. Now she’s more of a young adult and knighted too! Or, er... Maged? I dunno. She was officially dubbed “Tigris Knight” (Yes named after the river) but some like to call her “The Sunset Knight” or “Tiger Mage.” Her main ability is being able to summon and employ the help of Fae and magic creatures of all kinds. Her most iconic summon is that of a tiger, hence the name.

She’s really into magic and enjoys discussing it with those well-versed in it. Unfortunately those people are a bit of a rarity, so Tigris Knight comes off as a bit reserved to others. She still gets to keep her sass but it only shows up around her family or people she really really trusts.

I also changed her name! It’s Cassia now.

Mint

When I get upset I make Kirby OCs (Or remake them)

Mint might be my favorite out of all of them. I’ve always had a weird soft spot for that dumb wild child trope for some reason. I ALWAYS liked writing Mint and I think its interesting that while I heavily rewrote her siblings and un-killed her dad she managed to basically stay almost the same except with some design tweaks.

Mostly everything that made Mint stayed intact, but her family situation has changed quite a bit. Like I mentioned earlier her father is not dead anymore, and her sisters were at knight training and together during the raid that got her stuck in the woods and raised by animals. By the time they would reunite, I don’t think they would recognize their baby sister.

I will mention that in my own HC, Puffballs usually lack teeth. However they are highly adaptive and tend to spontaneously “evolve” in order to survive (they are notorious for being incredibly hard to kill lol just adapt) So basically Mint evolving fangs for herself would be highly unusual and serve to freak out the others of her kind once they get past the snarling and clawing and speaking in third person.

Tawny and Russet

AA These two. How could I forget these goobers.

Through a series of complex fuckups, Eve and Half-Tail Rind managed to clone themselves with a magic mirror.

Russet (Bottom image) is Rind’s clone. She is easily agitated, impatient, and critical on a good day. In battle she is ruthless, attacking viciously and past the point of submission. Only one individual is close enough to Russet to not be subjected to her aggressive behavior. Around them, she’s actually quite sweet and caring!

Tawny (Top image) is Eve’s clone. This one is soft and delicate and extremely timid. Her natural instinct is to run from fights, and as a result she is underleveled and far weaker than her counterpart. Tawny can get used to people though, and her wholesome and loving nature is said to be rather infectious. It’s unfortunate that she’s destined for a cruel fate...

HAH I also wanted to mention Rind has some AU Versions of herself I went and made.

The first is a Cookie Run AU. She’s known as Puppy Biscuit Cookie, and she’s some weird cross between a Cake Hound and a Cookie. Comes in multiple flavors and is also a dog treat so maybe don’t eat her.

Then there’s an AU version where she stands up on two legs. Usually good for Anthropomorphic settings. She can adapt into a lot of different roles but I gravitate towards her fulling giving into the bad side and maintaining a street gang or some other kind of dishonest debauchery.

Eve

Eve was a pretty important side character for Rind. She was the evil clone, sort of.

Her motivations were always shaky. Sometimes she got redeemed and other times she was a bad bitch the whole way through. I believe her sole purpose in life is to destroy Half-Tail Rind as she is her clone. Eve’s problem was that she never knew what to do to take Half-Tail down, their battles always ended in a stalemate. Most if not all of her plots to remove Half-Tail from the census were half baked and made up on the fly (oop)

While her counterpart was always well mannered, often shy and kind of heart, Eve was mischievous, rude, and always a bit power hungry and seeking revenge. She rarely made friends outside of those friends with benefits or convenient allies situations.

Ironically Half-Tail’s granddaughter would take after clone great aunt Eve in terms of personality.

Rind (Half-Tail)

While I liked the new look and personality of the new Rind, I didn’t want to throw the old one out completely. She has been remade here and accidentally named after a Warrior cat (Oops) This is the version of the character featured on my oldest RP Blog, Randomeevee.

Obviously, she’s gotten a bit older. In fact, she’s the grandmother to the new Rind. Her skills in battle, ability to evolve and devolve, and experience as a leader of an exploration team caught the attention of an Interdimensional agency responsible for keeping reality from collapsing in on itself (Think like the TVA from Loki?) She got recruited into their ranks, lost an ear, and eye, and half of her tail bringing down criminals, and rose to the rank of Captain, which I think is hilarious when you imagine this tiny creature at a desk in her own office. Doing paperwork and ordering much bigger subordinates around.

Compared to how I used to write her, Half-Tail Rind now has a backbone and is more sure of herself. By now she’s definitely hit level 100 and maxed out her potential. She’s a great leader who, while level-headed and good to those under her, is not afraid to assert her authority. She is definitely affected by whatever happened that resulted in the loss of an ear an eye and half of her tail though. She’s borderline obsessed with divination and omens, not wanting to lose anything else important to her.

Rind

Rind is possibly one of my oldest characters. Chances are great that if you know me you know Rind. This version of her is a rebooted take on the character compared to the one I wrote in my RP blog as a lowly high schooler. This Rind is sassier, troublesome, and somewhat of a wannabe con artist. Compared to her old self I think this one might be a bit more interesting to write overall.

She’s currently being written over at Randomeeveelutions!
