thinking about benoit blanc being like. a genuinely good and cool dude
in addition to being considerate of others' feelings?? comforting marta "because you are a good nurse" without just steamrolling over her during the revelatory scene about ransom???? his little gasp and horrified expression when he thinks helen has died???? him walking away and handing helen klear and basically telling her to blow the fucking thing up????????
love him love this movie love them

january is one of those months where you experience every feeling on the human spectrum and you just have to go about your day like that isn't happening

the fact that the house speaker election hasn’t been this bad since the civil war and the guy is named fucking mccarthy and it’s jan 6 … this has to be a tv show cause how do you so perfectly reference three major events of extreme internal division in the US by pure coincidence

Bond girls are out. Blanc girls (underprivileged women who screw over rich assholes with the help of this silly detective) are in.

Look at his face. Benoit Blanc said to Helen that the killer would know she wasn't Andi, but LOOK AT HIS FACE. Miles "Vainglorious Buffoon" Bron is a bigger idiot than Blanc proclaimed. This is the face of a man realizing for the first time who Helen is. Birdie was quicker to connect the dots than Miles. We can't know if Miles sent the puzzle box to Andi so he could pretend he didn't know she was dead or because he legit forgot to tell his puzzle guy to remove Andi from his friend list, but this is the face of a man who had no idea Andi had a twin sister. This man shit himself when he saw "Andi" getting off that boat because HOLY FUCKING SHIT ON A STICK SHE'S ALIVE AND SHE KNOWS I TRIED TO KILL HER FUCK FUCK FUCK THINK MILES THINK. Duke showed him the news article about Andi's death, so you'd think that's when Miles would remember Andi had a twin sister, but noooooo, this flabbergasted face tells me that despite the articles he still thought that Andi was alive and on his island. When "Andi" shows up with the envelope and blood on her blouse this dude must have almost had a heart attack because FOR FUCK'S SAKE WHY WONT THIS WOMAN FUCKING DIE. It isn't until Benoit Blanc says that Andi had a twin sister that the lightbulb lights up and Miles' face goes from surprise to giving Helen the stink eye and then pure rage and hatred.
I've watched this movie 4 times and each time this man gets dumber and dumber.

one of my favorite parts about Glass Onion (brought over from Knives Out) is Daniel “Fuck-James-Bond-I-fucking-hate-James-Bond-please-just-set-me-free-from-playing-James-Bond” Craig just EATING up the role of Benoit Blanc with absolute delight. He fucking RELISHES the accent, the outfits, the cigars, the monologues, the everything and it pours out of the screen!! After the years of being in the spotlight as The Number One Bland Action Hero, he adores his funky little southern gay detective so much. Good for Him

glass onion had lgbt rep in the way that i prefer: a character is shown to be gay in a subtle yet unmistakeably domestic way, and then nothing romantic happens and we go solve a murder with the power of friendship and violence

The funniest thing to me about Benoit Blanc in Glass Onion is that I didn’t realize that his striped outfit at the pool was a swimsuit, so I just saw him get in the water in his little suit and was like “yeah, that makes sense for him”

listen. I have never in my life been crazy about Daniel Craig, like I know he exists and I know he’s 007 James Bond but was I a frothing at the mouth over this middle aged man fangirl about him??? nah. hes just kinda been *gestures vaguely* around.
you put him in a silly little outfit, give him a southern drawl, and make him solve mysteries in THE fruitiest campiest way??? I suddenly understand the appeal and cannot tear my eyes away

Benoit Blanc, absolute icon that he is, got out of the bath and put on a dress shirt and tie (and cuff links!) to do business at home, but then also added a dressing gown over it because, y'know, he's at home.
