“The yarrow stalk oracle has been considered the classical way of consulting the I Ching. The process of operation is as follows:
The number of Great Expansion is fifty.
Hold 50 yarrow stalks in your left hand.
Of which forty-nine are used.
Put one aside on the table in front of you; it plays no further part in the divination. This stalk symbolizes the commencement of Tai Chi (”ultimate beginning”) from the void; it represents the state before Heaven and Earth were differentiated.
Divide them into two, symbolizing the two primary forces.
Divide the remaining 49 stalks into two bundles at random, one in each hand. These bundles symbolize Heaven and Earth. The left bundle represents Heaven, the right represents Earth.
Suspend one, symbolizing the three supreme powers.
Take one stalk from the right-hand bundle and put it between the ring finger and little finger of your left hand. This stalk symbolizes humanity. Heaven, earth and humanity are considered the three supreme powers in the universe.”

On Desire:
“Desire is the beginning of all creation. It is first thought. It is a grand feeling within the soul.”
“Your life is a reflection of what you desire and what you believe you may have of what you desire. I cannot give you what you do not believe you may have no matter how much you desire it, because I will not violate your own thought about it. i cannot, that is the law. Believing that you cannot have something is the same as not desiring to have it, for it produces the same result.”
On Prayer:
“You will not have that for which you ask, nor can you have anything you want. This is because your very request is a statement of lack and your saying you want a thing only works to produce that precise experience - wanting - in your reality. The correct prayer is, therefore, never a prayer of supplication but a prayer of gratitude. When you thank God in advance for that which you choose to experience in your reality, you in effect acknowledge that it is there, in effect. Thankfulness is thus the most powerful statement to God: an affirmation that even before you ask, I have answered. Therefore never supplicate, appreciate.”
“No prayer - and a prayer is nothing more than a fervent statement of what is so - goes unanswered. Every prayer, every thought, every statement every feeling is creative. To the degree that it is fervently held as truth, to that degree will it be made manifest in your experience. When it is said that a prayer has not been answered, what has in actuality happened is that the most fervently held thought, word or feeling has become operative. Yet what you must know and here’s the secret: is that, always, it is the thought behind the thought, what might be called the sponsoring thought, that is the controlling thought. If therefore you beg and supplicate, there seems a much smaller chance that you will experience what you think you are choosing. Because the sponsoring thought behind every supplication is that you do not now have now what you wish. That sponsoring thought becomes your reality. The only sponsoring thought that could override this thought is the thought held in faith that God will grant whatever is asked without fail. Some people have such faith, very few. The process of prayer becomes much easier when, rather than having to believe that God will always say yes to every request, one understands, intuitively, that the request itself is not necessary, then the prayer is a prayer of thanksgiving. It is not a request at all, but a statement of gratitude for what is so.”

“Life [Consciouness] is a spiritual quality. It has four basic abilities:
It can bring things into existence. [see “to be known” in the Glossary]
It can take things out of existence.
It can know.
It can not-know.
These actions are accomplished by postulates. A postulate is a causative consideration. That which is brought into existence, taken out of existence, made known or not-known is called an effect. The purpose of bringing an effect into existence is to make it known (must be known). The purpose of taking an effect out of existence is to make it not-known (must not be known). The purpose of knowing is to know. The purpose of not-knowing is to not-know.”
Thus, 1 & 3 and 2 & 4 are complementary postulates. They enhance affinity. Thus, 1 & 4 and 2 & 3 are conflicting postulates. They lower affinity. “Communication is the action of creating complementary postulates.”

Language Used: Christian Terminology (Father, Son & Holy Spirit), Miracles
“Your mind can be possessed by illusions, but Spirit is eternally free. If a mind perceives without love, it perceives and empty shell and is unaware of the Spirit within. But the Atonement restores Spirit to its proper place. The mind that serves Spirit is invulnerable.”
Miracles reawaken the awareness that the spirit, not the body, is the altar of truth. This is the recognition that leads to the healing power of the miracle. They heal because they deny body-identification and affirm spirit—identification.
Miracles are thoughts. Thoughts can create the lower or bodily level of experience, or the higher or spiritual level of experience. One makes the physical, and the other creates the spiritual.
Miracles rearrange perception and place all levels in true perspective. This is healing because sickness comes from confusing the levels.
By recognizing spirit, miracles adjust the levels of perception and show them in proper alignment. This places spirit at the center, where it can communicate directly.
Miracles restore the mind to its fullness. By atoning for lack they establish perfect protection. The spirit’s strength leaves no room for intrusions.
Miracles are expressions of love, but they may not always have observable effects.
Miracles are examples of right thinking, aligning your perceptions with truth as God created it.
A miracle is a correction introduced into false thinking by me. It acts as a catalyst, breaking up erroneous perception and reorganizing it properly. This places you under the Atonement principle, where perception is healed. Until this has occurred, knowledge of the Divine Order is impossible.
The Holy Spirit is the mechanism of miracles. He recognizes both God’s creations and your illusions. He separates the true from the false by his ability to perceive totally rather than selectively.
The miracle dissolves error because the Holy Spirit identifies error as false or unreal. This is the same as saying that by perceiving light, darkness automatically disappears.
Wholeness is the perceptual content of miracles. They thus correct, or atone for, the faulty perception of lack.
A major contribution of miracles is their strength in releasing you from your false sense of isolation, deprivation and lack.
Miracles arise from a miraculous state of mind, or a state of miracle-readiness.
The miracle is an expression of an inner awareness of Christ and the acceptance of His Atonement.
A miracle is never lost. It may touch many people you have not even met, and produce undreamed of changes in situations of which you are not even aware.
The miracle is a learning device that lessens the need for time. It establishes an out-of-pattern time interval not under the usual laws of time. In this sense it is timeless.
The miracle makes no distinction among degrees of misperception. It is a device for perception-correction, effective quite apart from either the degree or the direction of the error. This is its true indiscriminateness.
The miracle compares what you have made with creation, accepting what is in accord with it as true, and rejecting what is out of accord as false.
14The miracle minimizes the need for time. entails a sudden shift from horizontal to vertical perception.
17 you respond to what you perceive.
The miracle sets reality where it belongs. Reality belongs only to spirit and the miracle acknowledges only truth. It thus dispels illusions about yourself, and puts you in communication with yourself and God. The miracle joins in the Atonement by placing the mind in the service of the Holy Spirit. This establishes the proper function of the mind and corrects its errors, which are merely lacks of love.

Hermeticism, language used: “materia prima”
“The basic Egyptian view of creation, as pointed out by the celebrated esotericist and “alternative Egyptologist,” Rene Schwaller De Lubicz, was that all of the existing diversity of the universe stemmed from one underlying “prime matter” or materia prima, an absolutely undifferentiated substrate, an “aether” or medium which then began to undergo differentiation. This initial process of “hyper-differentiation” of an undifferentiated medium Schwaller called the “primary scission.” Further differentiations are in turn performed upon these initial derivations from the medium, until at last the entire diversity of creation arises.
While all of this sounds rather fanciful, it is in fact capable of a profoundly sophisticated interpretation from the point of view of certain aspects of modern physics, for an absolutely undifferentiated substrate in fact is physically non-observable; it is therefore, as far as physics is concerned, a nothing, even though it may be said that this materia prima has some sort of existence.
The whole of Egyptian religion and magical practice, then, stems from this viewpoint, for if all arises from this materia prima, then everything that exists, by dint of its existence, can be described in terms of it’s “topological descent” from that substrate.
In short, every existing thing is connected with every other existing thing by virtue of it’s creation from the same underlying “stuff” or substrate. The substrate exists in every thing, since every thing is but a particular differentiated manifestation of that substrate
Consequently, this underlying substrate or medium was transmutative in it’s very nature; it was, so to speak, a “pure potential,” capable of undergoing differentiation and diversification. To put it succinctly, the medium was the philosophers’ stone par excellence. Moreover, since it was an undifferentiated medium, it was above the concepts of space and time themselves. It was, in a word, non-local. And hence one can see the connection to Egyptian sympathetic magic and alchemical practice, for if everything is connected via this non-local medium, then one could influence another object via the medium from which we are descended. This was supposedly accomplished by reconstructing as exact an analogue of that object’s “descent” from or process of differentiation from the medium itself. One had, so to speak, to “back engineer” the whole process of differentiations.”
“From the act of that initial “differentiation” of the underlying materia prima, one ends up with three entities: 1) the underlying medium itself 2) the differentiated parts of it, and 3) their common properties.“

Dr. Farrell, language used: the “topological metaphor”
“My academic background is actually in theology, and it always struck me that many of the methods that theologians use are very similar, in some respects, to methods that physicists use. And that may sound wildly contradictory to what most people would think. But in looking at ancient texts, particularly philosophical texts, it always struck me that I was looking at a kind of a topological metaphor rather than specifically a metaphysical text. And the further I went back, the more apparent that metaphor became, to the point that it even became possible to notate certain concepts in text with the actual notation conventions of topology.”
“I think if you go far enough back and look at certain types of texts, for example, the Hermetica, okay? And read them without the standard academic approach, with metaphysics eyeglasses on, and read them rather as a topologist - as a mathematician - would read these texts, or as even a materials engineer, you know, might read these texts, what pops out of these things is a profound metaphor of a physical medium that creates information, and that’s a very modern idea. In fact, it’s so modern, you know, it starts popping up in the Soviet Union in the 1970s and begins to kind of spread from there. All of this stuff is popping out of the Soviet Union. So in other words, way back when - if we go back to the Hermetica - here we’re dealing with a text approximately, oh give or take, you know, 2,000 years old, so in others words… But it’s an Egyptian text even though it’s written in Greek. Its provenance is clearly Egyptian, okay? So this is very old and yet it contains this profoundly sophisticated physics metaphor.”
“And then of course you add Gabriel Kron into the mix, a Hungarian fellow, electrical engineer who says: Hey! You know, he wins a prize at the University of Liège in Belgium for a paper in which he says: Well, we electrical engineers notice all of these anomalies in large rotating electrical systems, and we can explain those anomalies by appealing to these higher-dimensional physics Unified Field Theories. So in other words, if you stop and think of the implications of what he said, the technology of electrical circuitry, circa 1935, is producing anomalies only explainable by these higher-dimensional mathematical / physics theories. He’s telling you, in other words: These theories are engineer-able. They may be incomplete in the theoretical sense, but they’re nonetheless engineer-able theories. And that’s an important statement.”
“They’ve got Heisenberg. They’ve got Hartek. I mean, these people are not second-stringers at all. So yeah, what the Germans are doing… And I want to emphasize here the importance of why Nazism would be the ideological cauldron for this, because Nazism of course had banned “Jewish physics”. In other words: Relativity. And they even had ideological difficulties with aspects of quantum mechanics because it was too statistical. It was too probabilistic. It wasn’t deterministic enough for some of the Nazi ideologues. But what is implied by this in the standard history is that within Nazi Germany you have an absolute stamping out of the scientific method and a dead-ending of physics. But I think if you look now, a hundred years after Relativity, we see precisely that physics has dead-ended. We have this kind of dogma in place now. What I think Nazism really did is it freed those people in a certain way to think outside the box.”
