HELPFUL TIPS ON HOW TO STAY SANE WHILE IN QUARANTINE!
I’m pretty sure 2020 was a very rough and trying year for everyone, myself included. We officially came up on our one year quarantine anniversary🥴(yikes). That sounds crazy to even say but we’re here and I’m glad that we made it. I’m pretty sure we were all stuck in the house bored, and on the verge of losing our mind! I know I was! It seemed like every day was the same, and time was literally just flying by! Everyday I would try to find something that would occupy me, and keep me content long enough to avoid from thinking about the pandemic.
Although things are looking more positive and places are beginning to open up, here are some things that I did to keep myself from going crazy while in quarantine.
Meditate.
I know, I know, it sounds very cliché BUT this was the number one thing that really helped me get through those tough days. Before the pandemic I was always busy, running around taking care of business that I really never stopped and gave myself a well needed break to address some issues that I were constantly facing in my life. Once COVID hit it allowed me to stop, and evaluate everything that I was going through that I managed to put on the back burner.
When you first start meditating it’s going to seem like it’s pointless that’s why you should start off by taking five minutes out of your day to isolate yourself and simply relax. Inhale slowly, and exhale slowly and start to feel your body relax. While doing this try to think of positive thoughts and about things that make you happy! If you’re interested in more about meditating here’s a helpful article that can help!

Rearrange Your Personal Space
Another thing that I did to help get me through the days was reinvent my personal space. When I say personal space I’m specifically talking about your room! Your room should be your sacred place. Somewhere you can go to relax, and be yourself without any interruptions. Before quarantine I never really thought anything was wrong with my room, but once COVID hit, I found myself spending about 90% of my time in my room, and I realized that it really wasn’t a representation of ME! I needed to rethink my space, and add what I wanted, and subtract what I didn’t need. Remove all the clutter from your room! Clear out whatever you don’t need! Buy a new rug! Put some pictures up that you want to fit the aesthetic of your room! This is where you rest at the end of the day so why not make it comfortable, and personalized to you! Your bedroom doesn't have to be boring! Here’s a article that I found really helpful when I was fixing up my room

Find a Hobby!
Last, but not limited to...find you a hobby! Seriously! You might not think you’re good at anything, but how would you know if you don't try? During the beginning of quarantine I literally tried everything! It was boring just sitting in the house so I literally would buy 400 piece puzzles and try to put them together but that didn’t keep me entertained for long! Tried to learn hot to knit from watching YouTube videos (LOL) but that didn't seem to satisfy my boredom either. So finally I said ya know what...I’m going to put try my hand at learning how to bake real desserts! Not just cookies or anything, but real desserts like creme brûlée, and all of those other fancy desserts that they offer you at the high end restaurants, and although I might have missed the mark a few times. I found baking to actually be therapeutic for me because it’s something that I can make my own, and if they turned out good than I can share them with my family and watch them enjoy them. So in other words when you find the right hobby for you, it can turn into a everyday thing that you incorporate into your life often! If you’re having trouble trying to figure out what hobby you want to take on, try giving this article a read, and then apply what you learned!

These three things aren’t everything, but they were the main ones that I found to help me! Hope you guys enjoyed the read, and continue to be safe out here!
