we DO need canon trans characters who are also sucky people, but they need to be written as trans from the start. not written as cis and then retconned as trans by the author

if an author retcons a cis character whos been written as sexually/romantically agressive (bc for all i love her roxy is written like that) as a trans girl, what does that imply. how did the author get there. what exactly about that character made the author think that the toxic character they wrote as cis would be made better by actually being trans. its a cop out for writing a trans character from the start at the very least, and deeply uncomfortable and edging into TERF rhetoric towards the worse end. id love to have a canon transfem roxy but i wouldve liked to have her from the start. i want trans characters who fuck up and are awful to other people and themselves, especially when theyre deeply traumatized teenagers, but i want them to be trans from the start

none of this is to say that this kinda shit doesnt happen between trans folks irl. like of course it does. anyone can be shitty and toxic especially when it comes to unrequited crushes. but i think canon roxy was specifically supposed to try to portray how cis(het) girls can get aggressive when their advances on gay boys arent welcomed. because, yknow, theyre gay. even if roxy and dirk do love the fuck outta eachother (and oh my god they do), theyre romantically incompatible. thats the main point of contention and drama between them. cis(het) girls feeling entitled to gay boy's bodies/attention/time, despite their actual relationship with them. which is why i pretty strictly read canon dirk+roxy the way i do, and then play dolls with them in any way i want in my separated mind pallace. bc im mindful of transmisogynistic dogwhistles as part of my brains like, base code. maybe overly so, i dont know. i get caught by the ocd with this and i know it. but like my whole SYSTEM is trans and were sure as shit not excempt from transmisogyny ourselves. any kind of bigotry or discourse about any trans issue catches us in the middle. its rough out here man

Yall are mad that roxy was canonically a Trans man because people head canoned him as a Trans women for years but tavros who was widely regarded as Trans masc being Trans femme is okay? June Egbert who really only became popular in recent years who a large portion of the Fandom prior to 2020 headcanoned as transmasc is dubiously canonized as Trans femme is ok "because it makes more sense" yall know you can be Trans and transphobic right? You do know transandrophobia is rooted in misogyny right? Yall know you can't headcanon roxy as black if you're going to misgender him because that's a form of racism right? Why is it OK for yall to misgender a Canon Trans man but get pissed when others do it to a character that hasn't even been confirmed in its own media as Trans yet. And while we're on the subject, saying that someone's Trans identity doesn't make sense is inherently transphobic. It doesn't have to make sense to you. not everyone comes to terms with their gender the same way yall do. I'm not Trans masc but roxys speech with John about gender aligned more with me than any other character so far. It's OK to have an opinion on why you think Egbert is Trans femme but to shit on others who have thought he was Trans masc is shitty. I need intrasexual Trans women of this Fandom to understand that when it comes to Trans conversations you guys center yourselves the way white gay men do in the queer community in general. You need to be open to listening to other intersex and intrasexual Trans people including bipoc Trans people. Emphasis on The B. Because alot of you are going out of your way to shit on others headcanons as if it's an attack towards you that's not always the case some of us just genuinely have different opinions than you and yall need to be OK with that.

transmasc roxy has always been a massive comfort to me and it sucks how he's hated by some parts of the community because roxy herself (not transmasc roxy) was the epitome of feminity and as such kind of gave way as this sort of representation of comfort in one's own feminity that kind of made the transfem roxy headcanon popular of sorts. it's not me dissing on transfem roxy, it's just the fact that you can kind of see how one is prioritized over the other for different circumstances when at the base, they should be equal!

anyways simplified version of this is "i hate how transmasc roxy doesn't get as much love as transfem roxy when they're both headcanons (well transmasc roxy isn't really a headcanon but still) that should be treated as equal and not as a way to dumb down the other."

something that ticks me off so much is the difference between how people react to Meat! Roxy (Roxx) and June.

but when it comes to Roxx EVERYONE instantly goes like 'its out of character' or 'roxy is transfem'

It's funny that they had acknowledged how fucked Epilogues was and yet they ignore similar problematic topics that appeared in HS2/Beyond Canon. People thought JadeRoseKanaya thing was actual poly relationship and not NTR cucking cheating until later updates revealed this was the truth. One reason I see the fandom having this hypocrisy is because Roxy turned into a GUY, people think if she is now dating Calliope, it's not a LESBIAN ship anymore. It's a HETEROSEXUAL one. Thus people are upset that CalliRoxy is now straight and not lesbian like it was. But if John turns into a girl named June, then shipping her with people like Vriska or Terezi becomes a lesbian ship and they are okay with it cause LGBT.

So hard to be a Lalonde liker in a Strilondes society. Not even as a jab at people who enjoy fun family stuff (same) but the way people will talk about Rose being So Dirkcore and conveniently ignore that Rose by design has more in common with Roxy. The fact that there's mountains of analysis for Dirk and Rose and like none for the Lalonde's pains me. What do you mean you hate tragic mother/daughter narratives?

Like Rose and Roxy revolve around each other Literally from the beginning of the story. Act 6 Rose and Roxy spend a great bulk of their time thinking about each other and looking forward to seeing each other. Their addiction narratives mirror each other!!! The way that Roxy encapsulates everything Rose hated about her mother (the wizards, the drinking, the enthusiasm!) while entirely recontextualizing her mother's existence for Rose. There's something about Rose drinking in an attempt to understand her at the same time that Roxy is going sober that gets to me a little. I think there's stuff too about how Rose can come to cope with her and understand her own childhood neglect via spending time with Roxy, in the same way that Roxy can learn that her mom is like. A flawed human being. I don't know. I think there's stuff there that goes so gravely underappreciated By The Masses. They're so interesting *shakes you* love the Lalonde's with me

sometimes we'll see a character who is canonically a girl but yknow something about her will just EMIT pre-egg crack trans dude swag to me like theres just a lil something that i cant place but is absolutely there. the kinda girl that specific kinds of trans dudes used to be. like roxy lalonde (canon!!!) and ramona flowers. sometimes its just the look but other times its the entire guy. like just the whole character. casca berserk is one of those guys to me. its the way casca is continually hyperfeminized through force and lack of consent and how uncomfortable he is throughout it. most of the time we see casca in a dress its bc other people shoved him in it. what does he do as soon as he gets out of that regressed state? masc clothes. sword. Okay, so the baseline for the creepypasta killers is that they're all Slaughter and/or Hunt-alligned in some way, BUT what if:

Jeffery Woods (Jeff the Killer): baseline Slaughter + the Eye. Hear me out on this one, but he is known to watch people in their sleep, stalk his victims and he "burned off his eyelids" however the fuck one would achieve that, so his eyes can't close. He's also Desolation marked.

Jack Nairas (Eyless Jack): Baseline Hunt + the Flesh, because of the cannibalism, obviously. He is Desolation and Dark marked because of the cult stuff (losing everything + his eyes).

Tobias Rogers (Ticci Toby): Baseline Hunt + Desolation because of all the destruction he both causes and suffers. He is marked by the Eye and the Web because of Slenderman.

Sally Williams (Sally "Play with me"): Baseline Slaughter + End. Due to the gruesome nature of her death, I don't think this needs explaining.

Benjamin Lawman (BEN Drowned): Baseline Slaughter and Hunt + End and Web. Pretty self-explanatory, died violently, kills with no pattern, "stalks" his victims, manipulates them into commiting scuicide. He is marked by the Buried because of the drowning.

Laughing Jack (LJ): Baseline Hunt and Slaughter + Flesh. Don't really know what to add, there isn't much to say about him except for him being marked by the Lonely.

(I don't want to even think about all the girl versions of existing killers because they're somehow worse than the original characters. I also won't talk about Clockwork because it's as bad as the original Jeff the Killer creepepasta while also lacking charm imo, not judging if you like them but they're just not up my alley)

Let's talk about Slenderman for a second. I don't associate it with the Stranger for the simple reason of it not seeming very Stranger-y if you discard the off proportions and lack of a face. It's powers, motivations and tactics are all inherently Web and Eye-aligned. When I say "Slenderman" I also mean The Operator because I'm not that deep into Marble Hornets lore yet.

I'm not sure if any of the MH proxies would actually serve anything outside of. You know. The Operator. But assuming they were,
