You need to move off of Google Docs!

I know some people have seen the news recently and may be doubtful of it. To the uninformed, Google Docs has started using AI to find "inappropriate" and "problematic" content, scraping your documents and deleting it. I know some people are unsure if this is real or think this is not going to affect them.

I regret to inform you that this is real.

As I was on a call with some writers and we were moving our documents as a precautionary measure, one person discovered entire pages missing that they did not delete themselves. This is happening to us, it's not a hoax or a rumor, it's happening right now. You need to move everything if you want to preserve it.

If you're a writer with writer mutuals, please reblog this so they know. I rarely write on Google Docs anymore, but I started my fanfics on there, and I would be devastated if I lost works more than ten years old because people decided marketing appeal is more important than creative freedom.

THEY FOUND THE WHITE WITCH CATERPILLAR! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!

For context: the white witch is one of the contenders for the largest moth in the world (biggest *wingspan*--loses to the atlas in terms of wing surface area, and loses to the regal for weight). It has a huge range, and the adult is fairly common.

But no one had ever seen a caterpillar. At all. There were only guesses as to what it might look like and what it ate. until this year. These are some of the first images ever taken of it!!

Okay, so it's a fairly popular theme for Luo Binghe to get pissed/jealous/possessive/offended over some other demon picking a fight with Liu Qingge, let alone actually managing to hurt him. That is his nemesis, fuck you, find your own. Reasonable and valid, I agree!

But consider the other direction: some fucker showing up with heavenly energy/techniques/artifacts that are very specifically and pointedly designed to fuck over demonic energy, picking a fight with Luo Binghe. He can't die but he is both allowed and encouraged to have difficult, dangerous fights as long as he wins in the end.

Maybe this was originally a plot from PIDW after complaints that Bingge was neglecting his spiritual cultivation for the demonic powers? So SQQ is expecting this to end with Bingmei having a breakthrough in his spiritual cultivation like Bingge did, though he's looking for a chance to intervene anyway bc that's his husband you're beating up, dammit.

That is not what happens.

What happens is a pissed off War God with his 100% spiritual only cultivation slamming in to absolutely shred this asshole, because who the fuck do you think you are? What do you think gives you the right to come sticking your nose in with cheap shot specialist attacks and toys when other people have been cultivating for years in order to defeat Luo Binghe properly without cheating! Fuck off back to whatever hole you crawled out of before he breaks your neck.

TL;DR, the possessive rival vibe should completely go both ways and LQG will be nearly as unhinged about strange cultivators going after LBH as LBH is about strange demons attacking LQG.

I love the idea of the other peak lords seeing Shang Qinghua and Shen Qingqiu hanging out and immediately assume Shang Qinghua is being blackmailed or threatened in some way

And they are actually half right. Shen Qingqiu actually did find out Shang Qinghua was a spy and did confront him about it. It’s just that after that Shang Qinghua panicked and somehow blackmailed Shen Qingqiu by complete accident, therefore also revealing how much he knows about Shen Qingqiu’s past

they actually started hanging out to keep an eye on eachother but eventually they realized that they could be semi honest around eachother without consequences and became functionally besties before eventually catching feelings being in denial about it because neither of them have ever had any models of healthy romantic relationships so they assume if they ever got together things would end horribly

Au where the system is gone and Shang Qinghua ends up in Qing Jing

So Shang Qinghua takes the entrance exam and is picked for Qing Jing. He doesn’t realize that he’s super advanced for his age (because he has the memories of an adult) and is convinced that this was a mistake and he should be in An Ding. So he gets huge imposter syndrome and works extra hard so no one notices he doesn’t belong. This backfires and he ends up head disciple, which he hates because now he’s the center of attention and is definitely going to screw up big time and get kicked out did the peak!

Then Shen Jiu shows up and Shang Qinghua is like “finally! Now he can replace me!” And decides to take him under his wing to speed up the process. Shen Jiu is extremely confused as to why the head disciple of Qing Jing is so invested in his success but it gets the other diciples off his back so he decides to play along until he finds out what this guy wants from him.

Other disciples try to convince Shang Qinghua that this mean street rat isn’t worth his attention but Shang Qinghua isn’t having any of it. He will not let anyone stop him from training his replacement! So what if he’s prickly? That’s just because everyone is mean to him first! He’s learned to put up his shield before he’s shot! Basically he becomes a Shen Jiu apologist.

The extra help means Shen Jiu is able to learn cultivation much faster but it’s still more difficult than it would’ve been if he started early, he’s incredibly frustrated by this and he can’t find out why Shang Qinghua seems so impressed. At first he thought the man was mocking him but then he starts asking him how he’s learning so quickly.

Shang Qinghua is like “bro it took me months of training non stop for to learn that and I started at like 10! You have a real talent here!” And other disciples listening in are like “bro that’s supposed to take years what are either of them talking about”

One thing the two have in common is insane work ethic. Shang Qinghua sneaks Shen Jiu into the head disciples quarters to study late into the night. They spend their meals in front of open books, and their breaks going over notes. It gets to the point where no one even notices Shen Jiu going to the Warm Red Pavilion because they all assume he’s sneaking out to overwork with Shang Qinghua.

Shen Jiu feels pretty hesitant about trying to take the head disciple position from Shang Qinghua because he doesn’t lose the only protection he has (or Shang Qinghua’s friendship but he’d never admit that). As the ascension grows closer Shang Qinghua gets desperate and tells everyone he’s gonna run away and become a rouge cultivator and publicly requests the peak lord to remove him from his position. This shocks everyone but especially Shen Jiu, who feels like he’s being left and betrayed.

A very one sided fight breaks out between Shen Jiu and Shang Qinghua because Shang Qinghua doesn’t understand why Shen Jiu is so upset about him leaving before Shang Qinghua admits to only wanting to leave because he doesn’t want the responsibility of being peak lord one day.

They work it out so Shen Jiu becomes the next head diciple and then the next peak lord and Shang Qinghua works under him as an assistant who writes novels on the side. Shang Qinghua also hunts down baby Binghe after he’s born and pulls him out of the river who he and Shen Qingqiu end up co parenting.
