Y’know when Sam was chastising Nigel right before she shot him?

With the whole story that she wove about how he killed his mother, the one person that loved him despite knowing what he was, and how could you kill her, Nigel?

I know it’s probably just to parrot what Nigel said to her after he killed Charlie.

But I can’t help but wonder if she’s using Nigel as a stand-in for herself during that scene.

Lola loved Sam, knew what she was the entire time, and still continued to be her friend despite that.

”The only person in the world who loved you. How could you do that to her?”

“Oh well.”

Even if Sam can’t feel love.

I think Lola’s death did affect her a little bit. Frustrated with herself that despite all the years they knew each other, she just couldn’t reciprocate Lola’s affection…

Not genuinely anyway.

Not that Sam would think about it long… but it’s still the closest thing to guilt she’s ever felt.
