Daily Doodle 142! Theme: Brian pt 2

An angel of light that could not speak, he could not

Reveal

His mission

So instead he returned to earth as a mortal to spread

The Gates opened up to swallow him first and they

He'd been silenced since then, in more ways than one

Left a poor soul alone

They were wasting the years but he was not, he was preparing, waiting for the right moment when everything began to unfold. An itch under his skin that grew and grew, Brian was ready when the time came, but he thinks he's still waiting for the pay off.

marble hornets is a fantastic example of how to use non-diegetic sounds in horror but also non-diegetic visuals. more or less, the characters can't see or hear the audio-visual distortion as its happening. it will only appear on the tapes after they are viewed and uploaded, which means the heavy distortion and visual tears don't give any warning to the characters, but every warning to the viewer that danger is imminent.

Forgotten MH Fact #80:

(OOG) Entry 37 was briefly taken down, edited, and reuploaded shortly after being posted. In the original version, one of the children at the birthday party was wearing a Spongebob Squarepants shirt, an obvious anachronism since the timestamp on the video is 1991 and Spongebob didn’t start airing until 1999.
