What were her measurements?

Her measurements were 38-17-36. How she achieved these measurements was quite interesting but really not advisable.

For her bust, she created her own wonderbra to enhance her cleavage.

But it’s how she achieved her 17 inch waist that’s interesting. Firstly Maila would fast for two days before the show. She would also go to saunas to sweat out water weight. Then at night she would apply papaya powder to her skin. Papaya powder is a meat tenderizer that butchers use. It effectively breaks down muscle fiber. After applying the powder she would get a small circular piece of plastic and put it around her waist. The process would be very uncomfortable and painful but would result in the iconic Vampira figure.

I am so flattered by this. I've loved Un bar aux Folies Bergère ever since I learned about it in an art class years ago. I relate to how distant the centered woman looks. She is dissociating and tired, but still reluctantly present in whatever conversation she has to entertain at that moment, because she has to be, to survive. Forcing an agreeable smile that doesn't quite reach her eyes. Sort of a universal female experience I think lol. Anyway, thank you!
