The End of Our Journey
To think 5 months have passed since the start of this semester, I didn't think we would be able to accomplish from thinking about our product, making the BMC, the midterm pitching, the creation of our product, and our final pitching.
From the first meeting, to say the least, I wasn't particularly excited about the subject because I thought this would be like entrepreneurship back in senior high. I hated the subject because of how time-consuming the whole thing was. Although both subjects have nearly the same premise the entrepreneurial mind is different and I can at least tolerate it for this entire semester.
But besides that, when we were given the task to create a product and go around the campus to what problems they noticed around the campus. I'd say it was tiring and well it gave us some ideas as to what service or product we would be making.
From the start, printing has been our main pick partially the fact that it was a big problem after all. So our first idea was a delivery service where you would send the file to us then we would print it and then have it delivered, but the more we thought about the idea the more it was unfeasible partially because of needing to print the file the day before and then having to choose the right time and having to look for riders and a lot more flaws we have thought about.
So from there we then thought of having to make a vending machine for printing, the idea has existed before and there is a machine that exists over in Manila when we were researching the idea since we wanted to take some ideas on how to make a prototype for our final pitching.
Although both machines don't really look the same because of time and money constraints. (I think the last thing I wanted to do for this sub is to spend way too much money.) In the end, at least it worked.
Anyway after we had thought of our idea we then had our venture proposal to pitch our idea if it was acceptable luckily we made sure that the idea itself was foolproof and researched any possible questions about it and in the end it got approved. So now we thought about how we were going to create said prototype but that was still for the finals, so we just thought about it while doing our academics for other subjects.

Now after maybe like a month or so (I forgot when the midterms pitching happened and the venture proposal) the midterms pitching was on the horizon, we made sure that there weren't many holes in our product, to say the least we were questioning if it was still possible cause we came in the room for the pitching with one printer in mind and then we came out with three printers in mind now.
It was stressful cause how we were going to be able to make the prototype now but we just decided to have it look like this:

From one printer to three printers
But luckily we managed to still create our product. Even if it was rushed.
Here's some photos when we were making our product:

Here's some photos when we were making our product
Don't mind the fact that it was already night we were rushing to at least get the major things from the prototype to be finished so that the next day it would only need to be painted and add its finishing touches and the printer to be set up.
On the day of the final pitching we managed to finish everything for the prototype and to say the least having to prepare all of that was accomplishing cause we managed to make the prototype and managed to make it.
So all in all our journey as a class, as a group, and as individuals in this subject has been eventful.
From thinking for ideas of a product, pitcing the idea to get it approved from our venture proposal, to randonly asking random people about our product and some question for a different activity, making said product and successfully presenting in both the midterms and finals pitching.
It has been quite a journey from where we started. We have learned quite a lot through out this semester.
Now we are at the end.

Our Journey so far
To say the least, this entire experience from creating our product to finally pitching it. The journey has its bumps along the way but we as a group have managed to conquer it. So now in this blog entry, I will be talking about our midterm pitching and the aftermath of it.

When we were preparing for the pitching itself we were worried since there were still some parts that were rough on the edges, we had an idea but were having a hard time making it a reality as we wanted to least make sure that it was at least attainable for us in the long run but luckily we merely only had to revise some parts of our BMC which isn't bad perse but the prototype we had to make was going to be challenging.
After the pitching, we then had to discuss as a group regarding about the prototype and how we were gonna go about the product but guess we'll see how it will go on the upcoming final pitching

Anyway, after that, we were then tasked to interview 10 people regarding what they think about our product and whether they would buy it or avail. The responses we got from our interview is that they are willing to use our product after all a printing service that is close to their respective college is quite beneficial to students.
As of now, we are finally getting around to making said prototype even if it's just going to be a proof of concept we hope that this works because we have come a long way for this project.
That has been our journey so far and regardless of the outcome of this final pitching, to me what's important is that it is finally done and I don't have to deal with anything entrep related for a long time.

On this blog entry it will be about our customer validation
Last February 23, we went around the school and asked 20 students if they are willing to use our products.
The answers that we got were generally accepting the idea of using our product. Since after all with the market being further away from the colleges, it only makes sense that students would use it as our product would make sure that it's accessible to the students around their respective colleges.

JOURNEY TO CREATING OUR PRODUCT
Welcome to this blog about our journey into creating our product for our class Entrepreneurial Mind. Throughout this blog, it will talk about how we thought about the product that we will be showing for our product pitching. We were tasked by our instructor to interview 100 people but he suggested interviewing at least 25 people to gather information so that we could create our blogs.
So, on February 1, we decided to start our interviews since even though classes were suspended, we still had tried our luck if there were going to be students around the school luckily there were students around the market, grandstand, and Fullbright.
For our first set of interviews, we managed to interview 25 students,
and here are their responses:
Printing
As students it's natural that we would need something to be printed, from printing assignments, worksheets, or notes, it’s a service that a lot of students don’t have access to quite easily since one of the many places that students go to print is the market. While the service already exists in the market, the distance from different colleges is something to note.
Slow internet / No internet
Access to the internet is quite important as it is used to search for topics, scroll through to pass the time, or chat with others.
Transportation
One reason why this has become an issue is how motorellas would take the students on a "world tour" when trying to get to the location they need to go which in turn makes the students late for their classes.
Environment
A problem under this topic would be the garbage that would occasionally be seen around the school from plastic cups to leaves, while the leaves can very well decompose around the ground, plastic cups, or anything that is non-biodegradable is harmful to the surrounding areas and in general it does not look nice.
Distance to Market
The market is the student's usual go-to place to eat, while there are respective canteens of each college, the pricing of canteens can be slightly expensive.
So between all of these problems, we decided to tackle the printing problem as it is something that we as students can do since each problem is either something that we can’t control like transportation and the distance to the market, regarding the problems of the distance to the market while we could very well open a store but that would be competing to the canteens and the entire thing isn't particularly sustainable for us in the long run. While the problems of the environment can be solved in another way, another group could very well think of another idea on how to deal with the garbage.
While printing is also very common and I'm sure previous students who have taken this subject before have tackled this problem, for this case we wanted to remove the human aspect of printing and by that, we mean by having printing stations in each college where students can connect their phones to the Bluetooth of the printer to be able to print and having to pay accordingly to print.
As of now, that is our current idea to solve this very problem, currently, we’re still refining the very idea of printing stations, from the programming aspect of it, the size of the box that will fit the printer and the paper, and the funding for our prototype but for now we will tackle those problems once our product will be approved for the pitching.
