Since I work as a designer, I use the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
If you want a free alternative to all of those, there are lists online (that I don't have) that list down alternatives to each. The one free alternative I know of is Photopea.com, it's basically Photoshpp as a Website.
What program do you/cril (Or whoever else who makes these graphics) use for tetro's graphic design? Like the thumbnails, logo, or the Tetro Blue promotional banner
i use SAI for everything which is bad for graphic design. u should ask @crilixva

Von provided the design she was going with at first, and then I altered the design and created a base thumbnail idea that would translate decently well for 500+ thumbnails.
If you need a ton of thumbnails created, you need to make something that will be simple enough to make different versions of.
If I may ask, How did you come up with the ideas for the thumbnails? Do you mind if people make their own thumbnails similar to the tetro ones?
i am not a graphic designer of any kind so our thumbnail format was designed by @crilixva!
generally id recommend trying to workshop your own style of thumbnail - its the first thing people are going to see when looking for your videos, so you want to have a pretty individual identity! it would be unfortunate for people to look at your thumbnails and immediately associate it with some other show before theyve even watched!

If anyone has a design they're working on and want help/a 2nd opinion, feel free to shoot it my way! I love looking at design and I'd love to try to help people learn. I can't promise I'll get to everyone's messages right away, but I'll try my best.
Since you’re a professional, what are the do’s and don’t’s that a graphic designer must follow?
You can break "rules" if the design calls for it, but some pretty easy things to not do:
● White text that you want people to read over Bright colours / Black Text you want people to read over Dark Colours
● Make all your Text the same size
● Use 4+ different fonts
● Rainbowify your design (too many bright colours)
Some things you can do when learning design to help your design be stronger:
● Design with a Grid! The Swiss Style Grid is a very popular design grid style that people use often, but even just having a grid of your own in mind when designing can help your designs look professional!
● Try and Design using 2-3 colours at most! You can use different shades of those colours, but sticking to a smaller set of colours makes for a design that is much more put together than one with multiple colours!
● Design with Hierarchy in mind! Design is all about making certain information stand out more than others! If you have a wall of text to throw into your Design, there is absolutely 1 part of that text that is more important than the rest. Make sure that text stands out from the rest!
● Leave blank space around your designs focal points! Allow your (and the viewers) eye to focus on key information by not crowding text/imagery!
● Design based on the media you are creating for! If you are designing a thumbnail for a YouTube video, you need to be thinking about how the thumbnail you are making will look when shrunk down. Zoom out as much as you can and try and see if the important parts of your design are actually legible if it were really tiny, or if you are designing a poster, try imagining how it will look when actually printed out.
● Find inspiration and have fun learning! A Design will end up stronger if you have fun when creating it! If you are learning, grab something irrelevant in the design and just go crazy with effects, opacity layers, warp it around, etc. Make unique pieces, while still remembering key design concepts

what got you into graphic design? do you have any tips for people who may wanna learn?
When I was young I wanted to do something artistic/creative for my work in the future, and my Dad is a Graphic Designer, so I leaned into that since I thought it would be a lot easier to make Graphic Design a Career than being an Artist.
One day I started making designs for myself and other people and just messing around with Photoshop and seeing what I thought looked cool. Doing that I learned the program, and decided to stick with it, went to school for it, and now work as a designer during the day.
If you are looking to learn Graphic Design, I say simply boot up a software like Photoshop if you have it, Photopea.com if you dont, or any other software you might have lying around, and learn the program, making things for whatever you like! (Posters for projects you enjoy, thumbnails for videos, Social media banners for friends, etc)
Learn how the program works, and once you have, you can start looking into things to make your future designs look better! (Colour Theory, Typography Rules, Negative and Positive Spacing, etc)

ARE YOU A HASEMURA FAN send tweet
I enjoy the ship! I can't really see Hasegawa with anyone else romantically due to how much he stays with Kamimura throughout the story.
I think the ship is also just cute art-wise since they are so different from each other Colour and Shape-Wise that it makes for a really interesting dynamic when it comes to the ship being drawn and written.
