{Has this randomly delivered. No note just a black raven feather tucked in the side.}

 [Upon accepting the delivery of what was, one of the most beautiful bouquets I had ever seen, I began searching for a card, or note.  Some indication of who the sender was. Being in no short supply of admirers. Manicured brows raised quizzically, my hand emerging from the center of the bouquet with a single feather in lieu of a note. The sender clearly wishing to remain anonymous, a wish, I only saw as a challenge. I'd discover their identity no matter the cost]

{Stalking beneath the oak tree that borders the edge of her property. Peering through dark shades, a sly smirk curling on my lips as her angelic features contort with curiosity. The look in those lapis lazuli eyes one of pure confidence. The game was set, though she may not know the flaxen haired beauty was my dark princess.}

 [Pocketing the raven feather, I allow myself one last moment to appreciate the scent of the bouquet before setting it down upon the table in the hallway. Having no doubt that Aunt Judith would have a few questions regarding the flowers upon my return. Hopefully questions I would be able to answer. Glancing at my watch, footsteps hurried out the door, only to come to a sudden halt on the porch, suddenly feeling as though I was being watched. Casting a glance around the yard and seeing nothing, I shook off my sudden unease and hurried down the steps. Now running ten minutes late to meet Meredith and Bonnie. There was renewed purpose in our meeting, fingers patted at the front pocket of my pants, feeling the feather beneath the fabric, we had an admirer to unveil]

{Clouds suddenly hung low in the sky as the flaxen beauty seemingly flew out and down the wooden steps. Shifting into the comfort of my crow form, beady eyes falling to her nimble fingers padding against her pocket. A pride swelled within my chest, I had captured her curiosity. Gliding effortlessly, catching the spotty rays of sun beating off her pale strands. Arriving before she did to be perched in a nearby tree, I was never one to be left out of the loop. Perhaps later I could fetch a lovely meal as well.}

[The air, thankfully, had began to cool. The last thing I wanted was to arrive looking all flustered and disheveled. There was a reputation to consider after all. During the walk, I pondered over who could have sent the flowers. Tyler was known for undressing me with his eyes, yet he lacked the forward thinking to pull it off. Matt, maybe? Nah, Matt was more the type to leave a note. Sweet as he was, he didn't possess a mysterious bone in his body. In fact, I doubted that any of the boys I knew were capable of such. Which only built up my curiosity, to frustratingly high levels. Arriving at the coffee shop, I spotted my friends seated at an outside table. Delicate fingers wiggled in a friendly wave. Uttering an apology for keeping them waiting while I took a seat at the table. Before I could even open my mouth to discuss the delivery Bonnie excitedly jumped in, with talk of being psychic and something to do with the descendants of Druid witches. Hardly taking in what she had to say, my mind remaining preoccupied]

{I could sense the thoughts crowding her head and there was a sudden bluster of cool breeze as if to show my dominance. Not that any of those meager 'boys' could compare to me. Elena deserved a man, someone like me who could show her what she's been missing. No boy was fit for a woman so beautiful and poised, commanding and confidant. A loud caw as Bonnie's curls blew a stray, her ramblings far beyond a meager annoyance as my focus was solely on one girl. But royalty needed a quart, I would have to find a way to deal with them. It was her that drew me here and I would not leave until I had what I came for. Keen hearing focused in on the ramblings of the read head. She thinks she has supernatural abilities? Perhaps I should test that theory sometime soon.}

[Fingernails drummed impatiently against my thigh, while I waited for Bonnie's ramblings to draw to some conclusion, hoping that a long discussion over them would not be expected to follow. Whilst her story was cute, at least what I bothered to pay attention to, it in no way compared to the news I had to share. Hers belonged in the realm of fantasy, whereas mine held a firm footing within reality. Reaching across the table, I claimed Meredith’s unopened soda as my own. The two of us seeming to be united from our shared look. The loud caw from nearby, made me jump, almost spilling the soda in my lap. Not that I could complain, the sudden noise startled Bonnie into silence, leaving me the perfect opening] The strangest thing happened to me today. [Carefully choosing my words to ensure I captured their full attention. With both sets of eyes trailed solely upon me, I proceeded to share the events of a few moments ago. Retrieving the feather from my pocket, I set it down on the table. Allowing both girls to get a good look] Well, what do you think? [Hikes a brow, my gaze shifting between my two friends]

{Strange? I was not strange, it was mysterious. Another caw as head tilted, the sun fading further behind darkening clouds. Flying off into a nearby ally, shifting back into my human form. I would find a way to get closer. Rounding the corner lips curled into a cheshire cat like grin catching site of the three sitting there. The two staring like puppy dogs on the leash of their pristine owner. Striding up to the counter, dropping my dark glasses eyes meeting that of the barista.} I would like an americano. {Grabbing it with an air of arrogance as heavy steps carry me back. The glass door opening just as it begins to sprinkle. Sure the ladies were not prepared for rain I turned to a small kiosk to purchase two umbrellas and a poncho. Handing them over to the three.} Allow me. {The same cheshire cat grin curving on the corners of my lips}

[Slender shoulders rolled back as I settled back into my seat, their attention and interest upon me alone now. Bonnie  was filled with excitement, spilling for notions of love wrapped up in tragedy. That girl had a weird obsession with love and death. Meredith however remained silent for the most part, her gaze trained upon the feather, which she now held in hand, twirling it between a finger and thumb. Clearly studying it from every possible angle. Bonnie's words trailed off on a light sigh, thankfully she stopped short of swooning upon her seat. Her ideals of love usually clouded with innocence, the sweet girl just didn't have the experience, most of what she knew came from stories and movies. My attention returned to Meredith] Do you have anything useful to add? Y’know, something that's actually plausible, unlike this one over here. [Gestures towards Bonnie with a tilt of my head. Anything Meredith may have had to say was interrupted by Bonnie's squeak as the first few drops of rain fell. Each of us jumping up from our seats in search of cover. Turning, my path was blocked by someone I'd never met before. His chiseled features had me stunned into silence, while Meredith and Bonnie made a grab for an umbrella and poncho. Reaching forward I claimed the last umbrella for myself] Thank you. [Holding it over us both, even though the stranger didn't seem to care about the rain in the slightest] I'm Elena. [Quickly introducing myself before he could turn and walk away. His gaze seemed to see deep within, bringing a pink glow to settle over my cheeks]

{My keen hearing had picked up on the redhead's girlish actions before exiting the café. The three personalities quite distinguishable, but one stood out as the leader. Elena, the poised lioness, she was not a kitten as compared to the others. She knew exactly what she wanted and she would have it. Overly curious about my delivery to her house, and that was only drawing her closer to me. Features set in their debonair demeanor as the girls gratefully retrieved the rain gear. My focus falling to Elena and cocking a grin at the flush to her cheeks as I pulled down my dark Ray bans.} What kind of a gentlemen would I be letting ladies sit in the rain? {Eyes gearing over to meet each of the girls, a nonchalant nod as Meredith simply returns the gesture and Bonnie giggles in thanks as if mesmerized. Returning my gaze back to the Elena, eyes meeting that familiar lapis blue, so close I could see the specks of gold.} Do you require an escort home? My car is just across the street. {Head gesturing to the black Ferrari}

[I'd thought he'd drawn me in before he'd even touched his shades and allowed myself a look at his eyes, reminiscent of the midnight sky, I could easily allow myself to become lost within his gaze. Encaptured by the air of mystery he wore so well, I had entirely forgotten about Bonnie and Meredith's presence, just behind me, until Bonnie's giggle broke through my reverie. A decision already being made before I even glanced over towards the car. Soft features displaying a small smile, graciously accepting his offer] That would be lovely. [Not normally one to accept a ride from a guy I just met. There was something about him, something that made me want to remain in his presence for as long as I possibly could. Upon accepting his offer, Meredith cleared her throat, the disapproval clear to my ears. Turning on my heel to pluck the feather from her grasp, my gaze passing between the two girls] I'll call you guys later. [My tone soft, yet firm, both knowing not to argue with my decision. It didn't matter to me if he intended to invite them along, the fact was, I didn't want to share the handsome stranger with my friends. Turning back to face him, the smile returning to my lips] Lead the way.. [Words faltering from the realization that I didn't know his name]

{Hand lifted up awaiting hers as the other took hold of the umbrella, noting how those blue gems were lost in my midnight gaze. At this moment the other girls were of no consequence, though it appeared their opinions differed I was too arrogant to care. I had her swooning in my hand, head dipped leaning in.} Damon, Damon Salvatore. {I supply supplied before leading her across the street to open the door and allow her to settle into the leather bucket seat. Arranging myself into the drivers side roaring the engine to life, eyes glancing in her direction before glancing down.} You always carry a raven feather? {I knew better, but I wanted to get her to talk about it. To see the flush rise on her perfectly creamy skin. Part of me wanted to reach out and touch it, I could hear the soft thrum of her heat beneath the pitter of the rain drops on the roof of the car.}
