Is there job security as a musician? If you define being in a band as someone who plays a few low paying gigs a week, then yes, there is job security. If you want to make bank, and do what everyone else is doing? Then, no, there is no job security. Too much competition. Someone will take your spot.
The key is to focus on opportunities outside of traditional methods. No competition means security. What skill or knowledge do you have to brand with your music. Go serve those customers Inside of that niche and you will create your own security. It could be anything from Crafters to surfers. Where are your people?
We need to stop worrying about what others are doing and create our own opportunity. IMHO www.kingdomofock.com
