Just wanna chime in to say that A's more relaxed attitude in B4 felt like a very natural (and pleasant ❤️) development to me. The tough guy/girl attitude was not just the result of them deciding not to act on their feelings but also of not even admitting to those feelings existing in the first place. Now yes, they're still not ready to act on them but at the end of B3 they have communicated to the MC that there is indeed *something* mutual there and that the detective isn't hallucinating it all lol With the cat out of the bag A doesn't have to pretend any longer that there's nothing there in order to keep the MC at arm's length. They're just hoping (or not? ;)) that the detective will agree with them that not all feelings should be acted upon.

I am loving writing this more open and forward A for Book Four! I definitely wanted Book Four to be full of romance, even for A-mancers, before the, uh, well what happens in Book Five...

Getting to write kisses and embraces and all the good stuff for A too is definitely making my heart pitter-patter, hehe! :D

Regarding the State of the Demo

Hello Everyone!

First of all, thank you to everyone who messaged me regarding the news of Dashingdon shutting down. I was so shocked to hear that a huge archive of so many works was going to disappear, and my heart truly goes out to the community who has thrived on that site for so long. It's so difficult as a creative to find a platform to host your work, especially if it's as niche as interactive fiction, so to see one place coming to an end is truly sad.

As far as GotRM is concerned however, thank you again to those who were thinking of me and my wip to bring this my attention. I have my own CS code saved on my computer, so nothing will be lost on my end, and for those who worried about losing the demo: I have decided to do a soft launch on itch.io!

This will unfortunately only be the prologue, since transferring Chapters 1-3 is still slow-going, but I hope this shows that I haven't abandoned this project and I'm still determined to bring this story to you.

As it is, school is still beating me up, so I'm not expecting to make much progress in writing until after March. However, if there are any questions (or issues with the new demo!) please let me know, and I will definitely implement them in the next update.

I specifically don't have a favourite, lol! Part of the reason I made each romance very different is so as I can enjoy elements of them all as strongly as the other.

Like A's brooding 'no, we can't do this for reasons unknown' trope of romance just gets me every time. Is it healthy? Jeez, no! Do I still swoon for it in fiction? Oh yeah! Lol! :D

N's suave and charming with a hint of something mysterious gets me really involved and sweeps me off my feet. To be with someone who is confident and assured in who they are but also with secrets to uncover.

M's romance is interesting as I wrote it specifically for the more physical aspect, as I'd never written a romance like that before. Not just the sex part, but more physical in general—a character who is usually averse to touch but finally finds someone with who they finally feel relief at being touched from and gets the unbelievable comfort from it.

F's, well, F was written to be the romance route that you get to just have fun with. It's easy, it's sexy, it's loving. But my word, has it seriously blossomed into a romance that is everything to me! :D

I think one of the most fun things of writing the romances as they develop over a series and not just one book is seeing how the popularity swings and sways with you guys! That is always interesting to watch!

We know about A's three shirt wardrobe, but what about the others? Do they have to carry all their clothes from facility to facility?

N has a huge wardrobe that they've kept in storage and finally is getting to pull out...even though they stick with their usual outfit, lol! It's more about sentiment for them keeping the outfits, though.

F tends to buy clothes as they go and wear them then forget about the outfit and get something new. The only character I need to make sure I remember to think of new outfits for in most books, hehe! :D

M is all about The Aesthetic, so they have a specific look. So much like A they have a small capsule wardrobe they wear over and over and only add new pieces as fashion changes and it's really needed.

Hmmm...

I imagine M would shrug and be like, 'Who cares? We're soulmates in this one and that's all I care about.'

F would be very enthusiastic about this idea and likely go off on a tangent wondering what the MC and F are like as a couple in other alternate universes, lol!

A would stare at the MC for a long moment before being like, 'You really believe in other universes?' To which I imagine the MC would make a very good point about the fact there's literally portals to other worlds...then A would reluctantly admit yes then, hehe! :D

N would admit that a love like the MC's and N's is too powerful not to transcend every world and universe. It will be a love story that is retold countlessly through reincarnations because it is so fated.

For pure angst purposes hehe: how is Unit Bravo with crying? Does it take a lot for them to cry? What are some things that would make them cry?

Ohh, I do love me some angsty angst, hehe! :D

Hmm...

It takes quite a bit for A to cry. As we're all aware by now, they don't like to show their emotions if they can avoid it! But also they don't want to break down crying in situations where they feel they need to be strong for others.

N will cry easy-ish. It's not their first response, but they aren't worried about showing the emotion if it's really necessary. But they have lived a loooong time, so they have...I wouldn't say hardened themselves to things, but it's sort of like that, so not as easy for them to cry.

F is all about showing emotions, so if they feel like they could cry then they will. Why hold back? But I think the things that make them cry are quite different to what people might expect, though also the obvious too at times!

M...not really a crier. So if and when they cry, you know it's some extreme feelings happening for M *cough* Book Five, possibly because of the MC's choices too make it extra painful *cough*

As for your ask...

Some of the kisses have and continue to show up already for some LIs.

For example, N quite enjoys a kiss on the curve beneath the MC's jaw but not quite at their pulse, and it's generally the place they will kiss the MC in, even just when greeting them, once they know the MC is comfortable with it.

M also likes kisses on the neck, but more on the vulnerable part. This is because, unbeknownst to them once again, it shows the MC is trusting them completely, and that's such a major thing for M.

But then saying that...M is becoming a real big softie for a cheek kiss, which you might get hints of in the books. It's not something someone has ever done for them, and they really like it :D

F enjoys all type of kisses. But the ones that are spontaneous are the best. When the moment pops out of nowhere and both them and the MC suddenly have the extreme urge to kiss...yeah, that's their favourite, hehe!

A...I mean, any kiss with the MC is their favourite, lol.
