I remember skipping my 4th hour class nearly every day for the second semester one year because my 4th hour was gym first semester and I could go there and play and run and have fun because the teachers thought I was still in the class.
I loved gym class so much, more than any other class, including art class.
#i didnt mind it until middle school when we had to change and it became more skills based than movement based#i was also certainly treated worse by my teachers because of my asthma?#(one had a poster in their room that implied vegetables cured asthma)#which is just bizarre because in my school our gym teachers also taught our health classes#as a less than athletic and VERY clumsy kid i was never bullied or anything. no one was mean to me or the less fit kids I hung out with#but the funny thing about teens is that they'll do the work of the bullies for themselves internally if they don’t feel like theyre 'normal#having to present myself in a way I didnt want to be seen (gym clothes) and knowing I was in the bottom 20% fitness wise was enough#for it to be one of my least favorite classes#I didn't dread it but I was thrilled when I didn't have to take it anymore and liked school significantly more

the idea of the earthquake hitting right as eddie confesses to being gay is so fucking funny to me. he's been trying to convince himself it's not the end of the world if he's gay and the second he says the words out loud the earth literally splits open

dobby. buddie off-screen reunion. one glimpse at scruff then it's shaved. tone all over the place. the entire plotline spoiled for five minutes of footage at the end of the ep. hey gang how hard are we losing today

so to be totally honest I don’t really go here anymore, I didn’t watch the last two episodes until this week and I’ve been very touch and go with the show for….a long time now. But a consequence of me not being even close to all in is that I’m just seeing the show for what it is right now, not what I want it to be and….its not good
like this is wildly off tonally for the show, not a single plot line or character arc is being committed to beyond like 1 or 2 episodes, there is a MASSIVE lack of the kind of genuine emotion that was packed in the early seasons. the vibes are totally off
I think it says something that the most this show has felt like MY 911 in a long long time was Work Song at the end of the last episode. Because. At least. It was an on the nose song to go with the scene. Yikes

I’m confused by the choices in this episode
#like I can get behind Athena using a case to cope#and I love Kenny getting his moment#but like. Buck should be off the rails#Maddie should be real fucked up about how this all went down#Eddie?? showing up only for the funeral? he’s an UBER driver he could take some time#AND WHY IS CHRIS NOT THETE#911 spoilers

Buck is a little too ooc. He seems too calm and I swear if we don’t get him breaking down in Eddie’s arms, I’m gonna lose it.
