RFA Sleep headcanons

Saeyoung is a very light sleeper, due to being exposed to near-constant danger from a young age.

He has a lot of nightmares, and they are part of the reason he sometimes avoids sleep.

After MC moves in with the Chois, Saeyoung is better rested than he can ever remember being.

He is lured to bed early by promises of cuddles (”Oh no, my one weakness!”)

When he wakes up in the night, he is usually able to calm down and sleep when he feels that MC is still there beside him.

They haven’t left him, he isn’t alone, he isn’t the scared child of his past.

He can snuggle them and bury his face in their hair and sleep.

When he can’t calm down, he wakes MC up and they cuddle and talk and watch silly videos until they both fall asleep.

Saeyoung hates sleeping alone.

Yoosung

This boy is a cuddler

He generally falls asleep pretty quickly.

In his sleep he will snuggle closer to MC and hold them with a vice-like grip.

Sometimes MC has to wake him up if they need to use the bathroom.

But this can be difficult as Yoosung sleeps like a rock.

MC has to all but pour water over his face to get him up in the morning.

He also talks in his sleep, and MC sometimes keeps themselves awake giggling at Yoosung’s babble.

“No pineapples here, officer.” “Kitten gives +20 mana” “My homework ate my dog, professor.”

Very common is MC’s name and “I love you, MC.” “Please stay with me”

MC kisses his hair and assures him that they aren’t going anywhere.

Yoosung smiles and snuggles in closer.

Zen

Zen is even dramatic in his sleep.

He sleeps with limbs splayed in every direction

Sometimes he falls off the bed in his drama (Much to his chagrin)

He likes to sleep with MC’s head on his chest or pillowed on his arm.

MC sometimes has to cover him up in the night when he’s thrown all the blankets off and is slowly freezing.

This man is a human furnace and MC loves it.

Zen likes to sing lullabies to MC

MC wakes up sweating from a nightmare? His strong arms will protect them and his angel’s voice will soothe them.

This man snores like a motherf**ker.

It sounds like a chainsaw and a bear had a baby.

MC often gets him to read them his lines in bed, if only because that’s the only way he will come to bed.

Sleep schedule? What sleep schedule?

Jaehee

Jaehee is an incredible sleeper.

She has the ability to fall asleep virtually on command.

She’s not a huge cuddler, but she likes to fall asleep close enough to MC to feel their warmth.

Sometimes stays up late just listening to MC’s breathing.

Having worked many late shifts, Jaehee doesn’t really fall asleep unless she wants to.

As a consequence, she often ends up carrying MC to bed after midnight movie marathons.

This woman is so strong wtf

Wakes up super early even when she doesn’t need to, and likes to wake MC up with a fresh cup of coffee.

They drink their morning cup together in bed (way earlier than MC would like) and greet the day.

Jaehee can’t remember ever feeling so peaceful

She loves having someone waiting for her in bed when she does some late-night baking just as much as she loves waking up next to the love of her life.

Jumin

Jumin has many of his craziest ideas when he’s trying to fall asleep.

“MC?” “Mmm?” “We should make sunglasses for cats.” “Go to sleep, Jumin.”

Sleeps with one arm around MC and one arm around Elizabeth the 3rd.

Jumin… hums in his sleep?

Like MC doesn’t think they’ve ever heard him hum in the daytime??

And they can never quite recognize the song but they love listening to it.

Jumin knows that sleep is important, and always makes sure that MC gets enough sleep.

When he goes away on business, he has MC video call him before they go to bed and when they wake up so that he can check up on their health and Elizabeth’s

Stress and worries can’t keep this man awake, but if MC is having trouble sleeping he will patiently listen and help them talk it out.

Has a recording of Elizabeth purring to fall asleep to on business trips.

When MC moves in he makes a new recording.

It’s still Elizabeth purring, but this one also includes the sound of MC breathing as they sleep.

Jumin’s favorite part is about five minutes in, where MC rolls over and murmurs “I love you, Jumin.” Before muttering unintelligibly about cat food.

Yang Xiao Long designed and built shotgun gauntlets that don’t over-encumber her or slow her down, don’t rip her arms off when they fire, and compliment her fighting style, and they collapse down into stylish bracelets while she was at Signal Academy (functionally high school) - compared to other weapons it’s not only less flashy and more subtle, it’s also built around her fighting style, instead of a fighting style built around a weapon. take the weapons away, Yang can still fight and only really loses ranged ability

and then she built a similar gun mechanism into her mechanical arm - we know Ironwood had “Atlas’ top scientists” build Yang that arm, but she’d need to modify it herself to give it a weapon that matches Ember Celica’s functionality and mass so she doesn’t lose balance in a fight, there’s no way they could do that without knowing the exact specifications of Yang’s own fighting style and having EC on hand

the show has lowkey made Yang an engineering genius and i hope that gets capitalised on more
