Hero Butterfly!Marinette and her Champion Luka (and also peacock!Luka) second part

so yeah, the second part with a Lukanette Love Square owo!

(again the names are from @universeenthusiast uwu)

Marinette and Luka

• Mutual Pining

• Everyone knows that Marinette loves Luka and that Luka loves Marinette, except them.

• They have been friends for years; even best friends and they are terrified that saying their true feelings (even if the other corresponds to their feelings) can ruin what they already have.

Juleka: You should tell her that you love her.

Luka: She doesn’t see me that way, I’m just her friend. Besides, she’s out of my league … there’s no way she is in love with me …

Juleka: It’s quite obvious that she loves you too.

Luka: And when are you going to admit that you and Rose are more than friends?

Juleka: Don’t change the subject, we’re talking about you and Marinette being idiots.

• Anarka sees Marinette as her “sweet future daughter-in-law” (Rose is her “adorable daughter-in-law” btw)

• Tom and Sabine always ask Marinette if she and Luka are dating.

• They may or may not already have plans for the wedding cake lol

• Everyone who meets Marinette and Luka for the first time and sees them together thinks they are a couple already. When Nooro first saw Luka, he thought he was Marinette’s boyfriend.

Nooro: You and your boyfriend are very cute together, Miss Marinette, the love you feel for each other is beautiful.

Marinette: Eh? HEY?! N-BOYFRIEND?! N-NO LU-LUKA AND I ARE ONLY FRIENDS !!

Nooro: Eh? But it is quite obvious that you two love each other…

Marinette: Yes, well… he- he doesn’t see me that way… he’s out of my league… there’s no way Luka likes me…

Nooro: those are just excuses…

Marinette: Besides… I’m too scared of losing him as a friend to say something…

• In summary: they are two idiots in love who are in denial.

Butterfly! Marinette (Fairy Godmother) and Luka (Her Champion)

• Luka is the champion of Fairy Godmother who has been in most of the battles and the only one that the public doesn’t know his true identity.

• Even when villains manage to break his possessed item, Fairy Godmother always takes him out of battle before anyone can see who really him is.

• Many suspect that he knows the identity of Fairy Godmother, but they haven’t said anything about it.

• Also, all Paris is convinced that they are dating, again, Marinette and Luka say nothing about the subject.

• All Fairy Godmother Champions receive a name when she transforms them, all of them except Luka.

• Luka is always “Her Champion”

• That is why the public knows its him, no matter what Luka looks like when he accepts one of Marinette’s butterflies.

• Marinette can feel Luka’s feelings through the bond they share when he is her champion.

• She feels her desire to protect her, to be on her side, his joy when they manage to save Paris or recover a Miraculous.

• His love for her…

• Even so she says anything, too scared that things change between them.

Marinette and Peacock!Luka (Ringmaster)

• When the peacock first appeared, Marinette tells Luka right away what happened, but when he tries to tell her that he is a peacock they are interrupted by Anarka.

• Next time by Marinette’s father.

• And the next time, when he tries to tell her as a peacock while rescuing her from a villain, she runs off, screaming that she needs to find Luka.

• At this point Luka wants to scream.

• But that’s when he notices.

• Marinette doesn’t know that he is Peacock and it seems that the universe is conspiring so that he can’t tell her about it.

• She won’t know what Luka is under the mask of the flirtatious hero.

• So, he starts to be a little more daring with his flirting with her, being more direct with his feelings.

• Many times, when he has to save her, he always dedicates some sweet words, enjoying how she can turn it red like a cute tomato.

• As Luka, he asks Marinette for her opinion about the new hero.

Luka: And what do you think of the new hero?

Marinette: He has been a great help, maybe next time you can meet him.

Luka: Ehhhh… Yes, maybe next time … ehem! Well, do you think he’s handsome? Or lovely?

Marinette: …

Luka: Well, you know, he looks great… Don’t you think it? Marinette?

Marinette, in her mind: LUKA LIKES PEACOCK?! I WILL LOSE LUKA FOR THAT BIRD?! NOOOOOOO!

• Peacock doesn’t usually visit Marinette on her balcony very often since he doesn’t want to risk being too weak for a battle, but on one of those rare occasions he asks her what she thinks about his civilian self.

Peacock: So, I have noticed that my beautiful angel is always accompanied by a certain handsome guy. (Oh god, what are you saying Luka, you’re embarrassing yourself)

Marinette: …

Peacock: Do you think he’s handsome? Deserving of your beautiful heart?

Marinette: …

Peacock: -Please say something Marinette, I will cry if you continue with this silence- I think it’s pretty attractive you know? -Omg Luka, shut up!-

Before he can continue his poor matchmaking attempt her with himself, Marinette takes him by the collar of his suit, giving him a really scary glare.

Marinette: Luka is wonderful, kind and affectionate. He is one of the best people you can ever get to meet, not just a pretty face that you can flirt at any time. If you put your hands on him without going seriously, I swear, superpowers or not, I’m going to kick your ass to the fuking space.

Peacock, terrified but at the same time a bit arouses and more in love than before, in his mind: She is so beautiful and scary

Fairy Godmother and Ringmaster

• As Fairy Godmother and Champion both flirt a little, it’s a soft and innocent flirt, almost as if it were a joke among lifelong friends. In the eyes of the public they are both an adorable and sweet couple.

• Paris ship it.

• So it is a surprise for everyone when the peacock hero, Ringmaster, appears for the first time and practically the first thing he does is flirt with Fairy (before dodging the champions of the day hit when they think he is a new villain)

• Citizens don’t know what to think about the new hero. Alya often refers to him as the “home breaker” (she may or may not be salty that Ringmaster is sinking her ship)

• At first Fairy doesn’t trust him, villains had already tried to fool them as heroes and he always seems to appear every time her beloved Champion was not by her side, which made her more nervous.

• Marinette begins to trust him a bit more when Luka tells her that Ringmaster is not a villain, and Marinette knows that Luka is a good judge of character, so she gives the new miraculous user a chance.

• Their relationship is improving from there, he is still a hopeless flirtatious with her (Fairy could act upset with him but never told to stop) but he always focus in the battle and he and his sentimonster works really well with Fairy and her champions, and Paris begins to trust the new hero more.

• The only problem is that Luka and Ringmaster have never been able to meet each other.

• Fairy had tried on one occasion to send one of her butterflies to look for Luka when she was with Ringmaster, without result, on another occasion when she was with Luka she had tried to contact Ringmaster by her communicator, also without results (on those two occasions both Luka and Ringmaster had been sweating bullets lol)

Black girls deserve to learn free from bias and stereotypes.

Most black girls experience this hatred at schools. And classmates are not the only problem, there is no support from teachers, too. That’s why they get so affected by their school experiences. Black kids deserve to be treated just like everybody else, they want to study, they want to learn something ,too. However due to prejudice they are 5 times more likely to be suspended than their white peers and it can ruin their lives forever. National Women’s Law Center created this video to change the situation. Join the movement to help black girls feel normal and get the same opportunities everybody else has.

Rather be Quirkless then a monster

Bnha/Miraculous Ladybug

In a world of superpowers their is one simply saying.

Not all men are created equal.

When these power first started popping up they were dubbed ‘quirks’. The first generation quirks started off broad but got narrow and narrow as the generations went on, some still would get powerful ones. So in a world of superpowers everyone wanted to be a superhero, a superhero meaning being rich, getting deals on stuff, being a celebrity. However people could only because heroes if their Quirk was suited for it.

Not all men are created equal.

Their was a small population of earth that didn’t have Quirk, dubbed quirkless by many; the still normal people of the world are now consider the minority. They often try to lie about their Quirk being something small or anything just to avoid eyes of judgement.

Marinette had the opposite problem.

She would have rather been born quirkless then the horror she had been given.

It had all started when she had turned 4, she was just having a little ‘me’ day at home. Gifts with family and her favorite food; she was happy. Until she realize her quirks.

“Ow” Sabine screamed as she accidentally grabbed a knife she didn’t see in the water, she pulled up her hand, a red gashs was bleeding.

“Mommy” Marinette said running to her side.

“I’ll go get some towels” Tom said running out of the kitchen.

“See sweetheart this is why you need to pay attention” Sabine said biting back pain as she looked at her cut.

Marinette immediately grabbed her mom’s bloody hand and before Sabine could protest a pink light ingulfed both Marinette and her’s hand. When Marinette pulled back her hand the gash on Sabine hand was gone, as if it was never there to began with.

“Marinette?” Sabine asked as Tom came down.

“Hey, you ok? are you still bleeding?” Tom asked concerned.

“No, Marinette....Marinette healed me” Sabine said turning to her daughter who was just smiling “are you ok Marinette? Your not feeling pain right?” Sabine asked knowing sometimes Quirks play on a balance system.

“No mommy, I’m fine. I wanna show you something” Marinette said excitedly before bouncing off to who knows where. Tom helped Sabine up and they share a look, happy of their daughter’s new quirk.

“Here you go mommy” Marinette said handing something to her mother. It was a plant, but not like any she had ever seen. The stem was a purple color and the petals were a unnatural blue. Both Tom and Sabine shrugged it off and went back to the living room to watch Marinette’s favorite show, making mental plans to tell the rest of the family the next day.

Then the afternoon hit.

“Is their anything we can do daddy?” Marinette asked sadly looking down at the little body. It was a kitten that can decide to try and cross the road, sadly it had not made it.

“No pumpkin, their is nothing we can do” Tom said getting a few tears from his daughter “Hey hey, don’t cry, the kitty is in a better place now, happily living with its mommy. How about we buried it? So he can stay warm in the afterlife”

Marinette nodded and they brought the tiny corpse to their back yard planning to bury him under the old oak tree. Tom realizing they didn’t have a box decided to leave Marinette with the kitty and went inside.

Coming back downstairs with a box, both Tom and Sabine dropped everything when a ear shattering scream was heard.

“Marinette!” Time screamed running outside, Marinette had fallen back to the doors.

And the kitten?

The kitten had moved from its original spot close by the old tree, a blood trail and other ‘stuff’ following it until it’s body laid to rest again; with a rock smashing in its head.

“Marinette” Tom said wrapping the small girl in a hug.

“I didn’t mean to!” She sobbed out “I didn’t want kitty dead! I thought I would help but he looked so hurt! He cried and cried! I didn’t mean to hurt him!” The little girl wailed out as the parents look at each other in shock.

Their were many quirks out there but raising the dead had never been on if them. Controlling the dead or even a temporary zombie virus but nothing like this.

“We need to go see Fu” was all Sabine had said.

“You’re saying she raised the dead” Fi question the parents, Marinette still curled into her dad’s arms.

“Yes that’s what we saw at least, do you know of any Quirk that could so that?” Sabine asked concerned, she knew this man for years and his Quirk of foresight helps a lot of people.

Fu however ignored Sabine question and focused on the weird flower in her hair.

“That an interesting flower you have their Sabine” Fu states much to the shock which startle Sabine a bit.

“Um yeah Marinette picked it out for me can we-“

“She did now?” Fu interrupted before turning back to the young child “it such a pretty flower. Can you show me where you got it?”

“What that does that to do with-“ Sabine argues until the worlds died in her mouth.

Marinette hands produce the same pink glow as before, her hair seemingly turning darker and her eyes becoming red. Soon enough the weird blue and purple flower materialize from thin air right in front of Marinette.

The family words died in shock while Mr Fu just shook his head.

“I was afraid of this” Fu mutter to himself, unlucky for him Sabine heard it.

“Of what? Fu what’s wrong with our daughter?” Sabine begged the older man who seems like he was ignoring her and getting out a bowel.

“Nothings wrong with your daughter” Fu said as he brought out a red and black spotted bowel, and quickly in a flash pricked Marinette’s finger.

“Ow” the little girl hissed out as a drop of crimson touch the bowel. The little drop of blood soon became a pink color, it’s glow wrapping around the bowel. The bowl shifted and twisted until it got smaller and when the light went away it revealed earrings.

“Why don’t we talk over tea?” Fi simply said as the group sat down.

“Years before quirks were first show their were the creations soul. Souls made to hold the power of a god, to be gods among men. I believe your daughter has the creation soul of creation” Fu simply said “at first these god originally wanted to leave all their power in jewelry know as miraculous, however sense they couldn’t be sure if they right person got them they only put a fraction of their power in there.”

“So our daughter has the power of a god?” Tom asked in shock.

“Yes, and you can not let anyone know! She could create knew quirks, new materials and such. If anyone with the wrong intention gets their hands on her it could spell the end of our world” Fu stated to the couple.

“Not never the government?” Sabine asked not knowing if she could lie on the forms.

“The nickname to creations soul of creation is Ladybug. The last Ladybug was a pacifist born in the United States.. they used her to make the atom bomb” Fu warned which cause a gasped from the parents. “They didn’t care that she had a family, they took her from them until she serve their needs”

“We can’t allow that to happen to your daughter” Fu warned as he glanced at Marinette who was now hiding in her dad’s arms. “I’m certified to diagnose quirks, with my signature I could make it where you won’t have to go to a doctor”

Fu turned to Marinette. “What would you like your Quirk to be little one? Would you like to grow flowers or maybe just healing?”

“Quirkless” Marinette replies much to the shock of everyone in the room.

“Marinette are you-“ Sabine started to asked.

“The bad people never look at quirkless, they are forgotten, overlook” Marinette said looking at Fu with tears “I don’t wanna leave mommy and daddy, I don’t want to use my powers”

The little girl proceed to curl up and cry, her parents looking shock and not knowing what to do.

“Ok” Fu simply said “From this day forward Marinette Dupain-Cheng is quirkless”

Marinette life had been hard sense her diagnosis as quirkless. Her original bullying from Chloe had gotten worse and many people in her class refused to talk to her because of it. But she found a way to be happy, she seem to know where amazing places were hidden and often times loved exploring. And spending so much time at home also allowed her to learn some more home body skills, like sewing.

Marinette adored sewing, it was a piece of creation she could let out and no one would know the difference. Everyday when she would get home she would look up material and get to work. She still practice with her quirk, but it was always at home and with simple stuff no one would pay attention too, hmmm a Rose should be that color? Oh we just put it in some dye. What material is this made out of? It’s a rare import from Switzerland.

Marinette lived her life mostly in the shadows being ignored by everyone until one day.

A new girl showed up, her name was Alya and her quirk allowed her to see stuff coming from far away; making her want to be a reporter. Chloe had been going on and on about the new girls quirk that it was useless, and such a shame to have useless classmates.

The Chloe went over a slapped Alya.

Marinette in return punch Chloe breaking her nose.

“What the hell! I’m going to tell my daddy!” Chloé screamed out.

“Tell him what? That the next queen bee hero got her nose broken by a quirkless nobody?” Marinette asked with a smile sending a chill down Chloé’s spine. Everyone knew she was striving to take over her mother job as queen bee and that was her sense of pride, to admit this happen.

Chloe would rather died.

Alya went to stare at Marinette.

“I didn’t need your help” Alya slightly hissed out, not wanting to admit she had help from a quirkless.

“I know, I just wanted an excuse to punch Chloe” Marinette said with a smile and went on her way. The class changed after that, allowing the blue hair girl to join the group and they open up to her more. Chloe normal high-talk ended up stopping and she avoided Marinette now. It was alright at school, it felt nice to have friends and not be treated like an outcast. She could talk to people about their day and they wouldn’t avoid her.

Adrien join soon after. His mother was a beautiful heroine who had recently passed away and his father own a fashion company. He was really sweet and refused to show people his quirk, per a rule of his father. Marinette found a crush forming on the new classmate, he was nice and sweet and didn’t judge her when he first enter like most of her other classmates. She felt happy in her class for once.

Then Lila came along and ruin everything.

The first thing she did was tell lies, she knew all these designers, Rock stars and heroes? Please Marinette could see the rottenness of hero soul then just the proof she found online showed she was nothing more then a liar. Marinette was convince she was lying about her quirk to but didn’t really have a point of judgement.

Then came the day she realize she lost her friends....but she found something else.

She had gone back home to grab a gift for Adrien but didn’t enter the room yet.

“Have you heard the stuff Marinette said about you Lila?” Alya comments.

“Yeah but I let it roll off my back, you know how the quirkless can be sometimes” Lila said with a laugh.

“Jealous bitch” Alya mutter to herself.

“Wait Marinette quirkless?” Adrien question the group.

“Yeah she been quirkless sense birth, you know she was planning on asking you on a date today” Alya said with a hint of smugness in her voice.

“I could never date someone quirkless” Adrien hissed out.

“That’s the great part about quirkless. Their so undesirable that they go extinct anyway” Lila states as the rest of the class laughed with agreement.

Marinette dropped the present she made with the tears in her eyes, and she ran and ran.

She didn’t know where she was going.

She ran into to someone.

On instinct she reached out and grabbed his hand and pulled him back, causing them both to fall down.

“Are you crazy?!” The boy screamed at her “you shouldn’t have-“

The boy words seemed to die in his throat as he looked at their hands, Marinette eyes followed his. Both him and Marinette hands were glowing slight, but otherwise they were perfectly fine. What wasn’t perfect fine was Marinette bracket that look like it was slowly being dissolved away.

“How is that possible?” The boy wondered out loud causing Marinette to pull back.

“How is what possible?” Marinette bit back harshly not really liking the boy after he screamed at her.

“I destroy everything I touch” the boy simply stated in shock “I’ve ruined everything, I even hurt my own mother because of my quirk; but you, you’re alright?”

Marinette didn’t know how to respond so she just got up planning to walk away.

“No, please don’t leave” the boy said grabbing her arm, destroy the sleeve on it. “I didn’t mean to be mean. I’ve just lived a long time in fear because of my quirk”

Marinette couldn’t help the smile that was appearing of her face.

“That sounds like someone I know” Mari simply said.

“What’s your name?” The boy asked.

“Felix, and yours?” Felix responded.

“Marinette. So Felix if your feeling alright I know a great tea shop with a little old man who like to talk”

So after an afternoon of tea at Mr Fu it took no one by surprise when he revealed that Felix had the creation soul of destruction. However his quirk was already written down as destruction on papers but they realized their was a lot more he could do. He could control shadows, fade in and out of existence; he was in term someone with god like power like Marinette.

Then Felix told her his plans.

He planned to go to RoseHeart, RH, for his high school years; that he wanted to take the hero lesson to find a way to use his ‘quirk’ to help people.

As soon as she heard that Marinette began to work too, looking up to see if their was a fashion department for heroes. Their was. A place where they teach young students how to make clothes for heroes, pretty much the only area that doesn’t require a quirk.

So Marinette applies and works on her portfolio, other students applie to RoseHeart and the school next to it; a definite downgrade but many went their to try and gets peak of what goes on in RH.

Mrs. Bustier read Marinette’s application to the class who openly mock and laughed at hero; some like Chloe or Lila said they would be getting into RH and not Marinette.

Marinette got in!

She didn’t care if any of her classmates follow she got in.

Despite being the only one in her class without a quirk she was the top student there. She studied heroes and their quirk, wrote down potential weakness or what they would need, she would research material and sometimes cross two to get what she needed, she would make multiple mock up for the heroes that where all hero worthy. She had become very popular in her class and school, known as the seamstress to most of the school. Everyone loved her kindness and willingness to help out.

But what surprised them the most was her friendship with Felix.

Felix was in the top hero class because of his quirk, a mix of destruction and bad luck guaranteed his success; however many people thought it was a villain quirk. He had told the school he wanted to find a way to use his quirk to be a hero, that even if life hands you a bad card it doesn’t mean you automatically bad. You would think someone who only destroys stuff would get along with someone who creates stuff.

But no it was the opposite.

Marinette and Felix adore each other often spending their free time and periods with each others sometimes other classmates would join but it was a guarantee that Felix and Marinette would sit together. No one, not even the teachers knew why.

Until the attack.

A class exercise got canceled one day but Marinette and Felix decides to head to the training area just for a place to talk, also informing the teachers so they could join (and makes sure Felix didn’t destroy anything).

When they got there their were greeted to the sight of villain, thorns twisted around and through their bodies. Marinette was in the middle of the area her eyes glowing red as a pink glow cake from her hands, focusing of Felix’s wound.

Felix was alright.

The villains were taken into custody.

Marinette was question and chewed out by the teachers for lying.

“I’m sorry!” She yelled out “I’ve lived my whole life in fear, in fear of my power, in fear I will be taken away. I’ve had so much power but I might as well be powerless. And Felix, he cared for me and saw something that I could see. And he was hurt...and I didn’t want him, I don’t want anyone to suffer like I have. I don’t want anyone to live in fear like me” she sobbed out through tears.

The teacher nodded and didn’t hold the girl secret against her however she was immediately transferred to he next hero class along with Felix. This hero class was a lot like the top ranking one in the school but they didn’t participate in sport festivals or even appear on tv. This was the class for students who wanted their identity to be a secret. Both Felix and Marinette worked hard, both in physical exams and in regular exams.

As the years went by they adopted their hero names, Ladybug and Chat Noir.

For only students at RH they got a lot of stuff done, Ladybug ability to reverse damage with no consequences made her an excellent partner for Chat.

Not only just saving people, which these two did a lot, both where know for helping out and volunteering; Chat had been know to favor children with dangerous quirks and tutoring them to help control them. Ladybug had taken to helping the quirkless, which was a real shock, Ladybug told the story that her little cousin had been quirkless and took her own life because of bullying, Ladybug said it had been horrible, she was so creative so full of life that was ripped away before she could find her purpose.

Ladybug and Chat Noir quickly found their way to being to top heroes in Paris. Some companies tried to get Ladybug and Chat Noir to be sponsors but they refuse, thank you Mr. Culpa, they made it clear that their outfit and gadgets where made by other heroes not some marketing company.

It had been the day before her high school reunion, she hadn’t planned on going and was just relaxing. She had been out for a walk when a villain had kidnapped a girl, a quirkless girl.

None of the other heroes could get close and Marinette couldn’t get away from the crowd; so she shouted for the villain attention.

“Oh I remember you, you were that pathetic quirkless girl that was in my daughters class” the villainous let out a laugh before it died he her throat. She dropped the quirkless girl as her arm twisted in a unnatural way, she looked back at Marinette. Eyes glowing in that familiar red glow with pink energy around hero.

“Ladybug!”the villain cried out in fear “you’re Ladybug!”

“Yes I am” Marinette said ending the fight.

There went her secret, that afternoon she and Felix made and announcement of their secret identity and them promptly moved themselves and their families to somewhere safe.

The letters came more now more then ever, old classmates wanting to catch up and relive good time (Marinette could gag) and even a marriage proposal from the Agrestes saying that Adrien would be a perfect fit for Marinette (Mari felt her dinner come back up with that one).

Marinette had decided to attend the stupid reunion with Felix as her plus one, mostly only to stop the notes and to give them a piece of their mind.

Going to the reunion was swallowing something bitter.

Oh Alya came up and acting like they were long time friends, wondering how she had been, Why she never call? She asked if she could get an exclusive interview for her Ladyblog.

Lila came up as well acting like their were the best of friends, always laughing at what Marinette said. Trying to bring up long time ‘pleasant’ memories that didn’t exist. The worst were the constant hugs from the liar.

But the worst thing about that night was Adrien. Adrien had gotten it in his head that he and Ladybug were soulmates so he and Marinette were ment to be. He also assumed that Marinette had said yes to the proposed sent by his father (when in fact she sent no reply) and was acting like they were engaged. He kept trying to hold her hand only for Marinette to jerk it away. He kept trying to kiss her, which Marinette easily dodge, thank god for force fields. Felix was right by her side the whole night acting as her body guard so thankfully only the braver ones went up to her.

“And we would like to pass on the mic to one of our past students, Marinette Dupain-Cheng otherwise known as Ladybug” the principal said handing her the mic as Felix followed her up. They media was here along with Alya recording, the school was likely trying to get famous off Marinette tailcoats. Marinette wasn’t going to allow that to happen.

“What can I say about this school, it’s been so long and so much has change. Maybe I’ll give my insight to this school if that’s alright?” Marinette asked to the principal as he and many of the teachers nodded imagining more money in their paycheck.

Marinette turned and look at the camera.

“College DuPont is hell on earth full of liars and backstabbers” Marinette said that and the world seemed to freeze at her words.

“I went under he identity of quirkless growing up because I was scared about what people would do to me if they found out my power. This school almost push me to suicide and was one of the most toxic environment I was in” Marinette said before turning Mrs Busiter.

“Let’s start with the staff here. They don’t care about your needs, they don’t care how you feel, all they care about is money. You know your application forms are supposed to be kept secret, well my teacher thought it would be appropriate to read my outloud and laugh along with the class. Not to mention all the bullying she watched and let slide” Marinette then turned to Lila.

“Lila Rossi the girl who turned everyone against me. She said she knew every famous person under the sun not caring for their safety or her own; making her a target for ever villain. She lies and manipulated anyone she can” Marinette turned to Alya.

“Alya, my first friend and the first one to backstab me. I helped you the first day you came here and what did you give me? Hatred, named calling and physical scars”

Marinette finally turned and locked eyes with Adrien.

“And Adrien Agreste, the boy who broke my heart so many years ago. You must be brain dead if you think for one second I would married you. I am happy engaged to Felix and nothing would change that” Marinette said finally look at the camera.

“College DuPont, the school that was hell for Ladybug and might be making some villains. I don’t recommend sending you children here until they do some reworking” Marinette said as she left the microphone on the stage and walked off, everyone stunned into silence.

Marinette walked with her armed linked with Felix and her head held up high.

She was confident, she was creative.

She is Ladybug.

Clash of Noir

So hear me out. Since I’m feeling a bit salty towards Adrien right now and could use a deviance from the mess that is canon. What if the 3D Miraculous Ladybug world as we know it was actually created due to events from the original 2D universe?

Say Felix was Chat Noir and Marinette was still Ladybug. They fought side by side for some time with her being focused on stopping the bad guys and him being focused on getting a kiss from her and breaking his curse so he doesn’t have to wear the Miraculous anymore. Over time, they become close and really care for one another–as friends if nothing else.

Well, at some point Ladybug would find out the truth that everything he’s done this entire time has been to get close to her to break his curse. He’s argumentative, defensive, justifying that he just wants a normal life. Naturally, she’s quite upset over this. But this is Marinette. And for all that she cared about him, it hurts that he had been trying to use her and that no part of their partnership was actually true. Hurt and emotional, she kisses him–partly because she doesn’t want to force this on him if he truly doesn’t want to be her partner but mostly because it’d be better to just let him go. So she kisses him and tells him to go away. Except breaking the curse reveals it’s Felix. And that just hurts all the more. She no longer wants anything to do with him in either form.

Felix had two wishes. The first was to break his curse. The second was for Marinette to leave him alone. In one fell swoop, he gets both wishes granted, but doesn’t know what to think about it. He returns to his normal life, leaving Ladybug to face the villains alone. This ends up going badly when there is a major attack and Ladybug is fatally injured while trying to protect him and he’s left with her dying in his arms.

“Pathetic, isn’t it? I let the same boy destroy me twice.” She smiled even as her tears fell. “How stupid could I get?”

Felix…doesn’t take this well. Especially with the reveal afterwards that she’s Marinette. But the Ladybug Miraculous is right there. And the Black Cat Miraculous is still with him. And all he can think about is needing to FIX THIS.

So he makes a wish, and it seems that this time, the third time is the charm.

Except it alters the world. He saves Marinette. The only cost? Felix’s existence.

Of course, that doesn’t mean Felix is gone. No, he wakes up, confused as heck in a non-destroyed Paris. Naturally, he investigates and comes to realize what happened. Namely that he turned back time so none of it happened yet. Good news: Marinette is alive. Bad news: Nobody knows who he is.

The cost of Felix’s existence doesn’t mean he dies or disappears, no. The price was his existence, not his life. Instead, he’s a nobody and there’s now a certain other blond-haired green-eyed boy living what was once his life.

Adrien Agreste exists because Felix Agreste made a wish on the Miraculous that erased himself from existence.

Naturally, this has consequences. Felix is an additional player to the Team Miraculous VS Hawk Moth game that no one accounted for.

In addition, Plagg’s power has been split in half between Felix and Adrien. Because of his previous ties to the Black Cat Miraculous, and because of his using it for his wish, Felix retains the “bad luck” side of Plagg’s power and has the abilities he was originally noted to have in the 2D version. Adrien, obviously, got the “destruction” aspect and thus, Cataclysm. At best, Adrien has just enough of the bad luck to attract the villains’ spells to himself in order to protect Ladybug.

That should be it though, right? Well, no. Felix made that wish for a reason. He wanted to save Marinette/Ladybug. So he’s still keeping an eye on things, and as he’s watching, he’s coming to realize that for all that things may have changed because of his absence, they’re still quite the same. Events that happened before are happening again. Enemies he faced previously are reappearing. And nothing he’s seeing is convincing him that what happened in his timeline won’t happen again. That means Marinette will likely die if things continue.

At first, he was hopeful that this new Chat Noir would succeed where he failed. But there are…concerns. Adrien is kind. He’s a model. He’s Paris’s beloved Sunshine Child. Full of warmth and goodness and everyone likes him because he’s like pudding.

Except Felix hates pudding. And he’s steadily growing to hate Adrien as well. Not out of jealousy, no. He doesn’t want to be Chat Noir anymore, because he has already more than failed in that regard. But when he found out he was replaced, he had expected better of his replacement. He had expected someone who would succeed where he failed. Someone who would adequately protect Ladybug in both her forms and keep her safe. Someone who would support her the way that she needed—trust her and back her instead of working against her. Someone who wouldn’t let her down.

Instead, he’s discovered that he’s been replaced by the equivalent of a human doll. Passive. Weak. Constantly doing nothing as people are harmed or victimized even right in front of him. Going so far as to defend those causing the harm. And constantly constantly doing nothing BUT letting her down in all the worst ways.

THIS is what he’s been replaced with?

Felix is understandably frustrated by this. What was the point of creating another Chat Noir if he was just going to end up as bad or even worse than Felix had been?

There’s only one thing to do then.

As the real Chat Noir, he has the right to determine his successor. He’s going to find someone else who CAN fill the role. Who can succeed where he failed and be the Chat Noir he couldn’t. Until he does, he’ll watch over Marinette himself and protect her where Adrien can’t. Then once he does find someone worthy, he’ll give them the Miraculous.

And if Adrien doesn’t like it? No one said his permission was necessary.
