Dude I fucking love it when a kid gets their first pokemon and the duo is clearly sharing one overworked brain cell.

My coworker's kid has a hitmontop (freshly evolved) and the two of them were eating right out of the bag of shredded cheese. The kid said "Wait, when does this expire?" The hitmontop, clearly trying to help, points to the date on the bottom of the bag. Kid flips the bag over, sending cheese absolutely everywhere. They both made the same distress sound at the same time.

I really feel like growing up as a non-league trainer really puts you in a separate box than the kids who were out battling to try and win badges and whatnot. Does anyone know what I mean?

I was always so jealous of those kids. They were always the ones with good families and money in savings. I didn't even necessarily want to compete, but I was so angry that I didn't even have the opportunity for it. I still feel a disconnect between me and people who grew up this way, even if we're in relatively similar positions now.
