After rewatching the Terapagos/Amethio last scene in episode 24 I can say that it isn't random (as I previously said in my last post after watching the last episode) we have the Pokémon looking at him as it's shocked and the camera zooming and highlighting their eyes meeting and Amethio's confused expression, it's like he finds Terapagos reaction strange and maybe a bit alarming too?

Then Mibrim panicks because of the overwhelming emotions it's sensing from Terapagos as it keeps staring and yelling at Amethio... even Liko and Roy look worried/surprised by the Pokémon behaviour.

After watching the last episode I guess Terapagos saw Gibeon in Amethio's appearance since I think it's clear that Gibeon must have known Lucius and consequently Terapagos too.

I especially like the detail (I didn't notice it at first) of Terapagos looking up at Amethio with curiosity at first but as soon as he turns his head to look at it directly Terapagos looks surprised/afraid and starts yelling at him, that makes me think it's not just because he's threatening them, it clearly recognised something.

Terapagos knew Gibeon, Diana said the explorers used to be Lucius' friends so I believe something happened that made it hate the man or maybe fear him.

I think Amethio is Gibeon's descendant and that the boy's appearance matches his, we can see that Gibeon has white and black hair like Amethio (I think Amethio/Gibeon are meant to oppose Liko/Lucius somehow so that would make sense).

I guess the fact that in the last episode Terapagos didn't react as bad as it did in episode 24 is because Amethio wasn't hostile to them, it was more confused and also curious towards him.

Can't wait to see where this leads to.

I think Charmy just sometimes spouts some big words and it's occasionally concerning that he knows some of them at 6. I think Espio should use his powers to be silly sometimes too, just stand in the middle of a room half invisible until someone notices. And to be able to hold up both Vector and Espio, Charmy's gotta be a strong flier, and just Espio on his own would be a breeze to lift up LOL

It's so fitting that Amethio was present when Liko's Nyahoja evolved given that he's been involved in most of Liko's important steps as a trainer so far.

He is the reason Liko's pendant activated its powers for the first time in the series (when it had been dormant for decades before that point) which made Liko want to know more about its mysteries, Nyahoja managed to use her Leafage at full power against him back in HZ002 (and with her backstory from HZ040 in perspective, it was significant that Nyahoja stopped holding back at that moment).. Their narratives kept being intertwined every step of the way, Liko catching her first Pokemon and deciding the kind of trainer she wants to be in HZ021 was immediately followed by Amethio being woven back into the story and appearing in contrast.

In fact, Liko wanting to become stronger in the first place was in relation to Amethio, too.

Liko specifically brought up Amethio in HZ007 and the fact that not being able to do anything against him left her frustrated (in comparison, Roy's motivations were tied to Rayquaza). She learned that feeling of frustration for the first time because of him, which gave her the resolve to grow stronger.

Even now at the end of the first year, Amethio is still acting as a source of motivation of sorts to Liko, albeit differently.

Liko asks Friede how they can use Terastal, and Roy brings up that Lizardon was amazing, to which Liko adds that Amethio's Soublades was amazing too! She thinks of Soublades positively and was impacted by the experience, and may see it as a kind of inspiration.

Amethio went from someone Liko couldn't trust, to someone she can thank and maybe consider as someone she wants to reach too. I wonder if Amethio will be involved somehow if Nyarote evolves in Masquernya in the future.
