And here they are!
So here’s my idea. Each season of my miraculous rewrite should have a different villain/antagonist, with Hawkmoth as the looming background threat. Season 1 has Lila, and Season 2 has these three.
(In this rewrite Fu lost ALL the Kwamis before the story started, and it’s up to the heroes to find them. Hawkmoth had already found the Bee Dragon and Tiger)
They’re older and in high school, they’re actually in Lucas’s class. Luca isn’t retconned to 15, he is 17 and in high school. These three are a rock band, and they’re not that great. They’re terrible at communication and end up fighting all the time. Hawkmoth approaches them with the Miraculous, offering them a chance at stardom if they retrieve Ladybug and Chat Noir’s Miraculous. And so they become the season long antagonists, who realise that they made a mistake and are reformed by the end. They also become Luca’s new friend group by the end, forming Kitty Section together.
Lucy/Wyverna: The Band Leader. Goth bitch extraordinaire, she’s a bit of a control freak who’s desperately trying to do things properly, only for her bandmates to mess things up. She means well, but she’s often very frazzled and misguided. But ultimately in the fight between good and evil, she picks good and she sticks to it. She wields the Dragon Miraculous.
Anji/Saber: The Sneaky One Squad bitch. She’s the one who seems lovely and sweet but is actually a pro manipulator. She’s often sneaking about behind the scenes, changing things to suit her and her friend’s needs. Her Miraculous suits her well, with the power of invisibility (I changed it because Clout sux), she’s the one to look out for.
Roxanne “Roxy”: The Bodyguard Roxy is big and intimidating, but she’s actually really chill and nice. She realises the error of their ways first, and betrays the band in the process, giving the Bee Miraculous to the heroes willingly. She does her best to make amends and earn her redemption. And maybe strikes up a romance with Chloe Bourgeois idk anything could happen.
My Discord have been really amazing help with these girls, and I hope you enjoy them as much as we do. I think having some more lower stakes villains in Miraculous could help break up the sea of filler we’re often stuck with. They would at least make the fights a bit more interesting.
Next redesign we’ll be back to someone we all know, more evil still lurks behind the corner.

what do you think are the ideal type of people for the original miraculous? (Or just like whoever you want i dont wanna ask too much)
You mean the main 7 or original as like, my originals?
I'm going to assume you mean the main seven. And I'll list what I believe are necessary traits for them to use them well.
Ladybug: requires the observant and complex thinkers who can work on the fly and be resourceful and innovative, be open to all possibilities that come before them, and are a benevolent helper who readily puts others before themselves. Leadership skill is not necessary, but requires some capability of directing others to help with situations as needed. In the case of having Tikki as a kwami, be conscious of their own needs and know when to say no and put their foot down. Despite what she says, users need to be conscious to not pile too much on themselves, and their happiness and needs matter too.
Cat: requires those who work off instinct, are observant, and responsive. This miraculous works off aggression, speed, and being calculative with the power Cataclysm; it needs someone who can think on their feet, be ready to act on their own and experiment/take risks, and be willing to fight. It especially needs someone with a very big heart and is aware of not only others, but all that surrounds them as this is a dangerous power to be reckless and selfish with. With Plagg as a kwami, needs someone who is ready to be diligent to make up for his laziness, be aware of their own faults and have capacity to grow on their own without his intervening (he goes in expecting humans to figure it out themselves), and to not always let selfishness or his suggestions tempt them. There are times to put your wants and needs first, but not always.
Butterfly: requires those ruled by their heart, are good listeners, are full of empathy and love. This miraculous works off making connections with others, offering guidance and support, but also being willing to rely on another. Recommended to have good communication skills, patience, and having some leadership capability. It can be up to the user to decide how involved they'd like to be, whether helping in a fight or overseeing from a distance. This miraculous is open and flexible.
Fox: requires elaborate thinkers, full on schemers, the creative, those who are reactive, have full capability to think on their feet, can and will act on their own and don't always need direction or guidance, fully capable of being a solo show if it comes to it or help others on their own terms, and be ready risk takers. Best given to those who are curious/nosy for they are willing to take risks to learn, and are quite fully capable of keeping secrets. This miraculous doesn't require a good liar, but does need someone who is fully capable of manipulating and directing others, and being skillful in the art of misdirection. Not recommended for those who likes to be in the heat of things and fight directly.
Bee: requires those who are calculating, ready to fight when needed but won't sting so recklessly, and can either be a leader, follower, or work on their own. Perfect for those who like to be in the heat of things and directly involved.
Turtle: requires the reactive, the involved, and those who are aware of their surroundings and keeping track of others. Recommended to the brave risk takers with hearts of gold, to be ready to protect their allies from dangerous situations. Not recommended to those who want to fight. This also offers self protection to those who risk themselves.
Peafowl: requires those who are ingenious, creative, watchful, and charismatic. Those who are ready to win and are open to the possibilities of how they will. Users are fully ok being a solo show, here to shine with the use of their own imagination and creations, or help others on their own terms. Not recommended for those who are ready to fight, though this is more capable of doing so than Fox, but still not so ideal.

Categories of Failure - An Akuma Analysis
Who wants more analysis of Hawk Moth’s idiocy?
If there is anything that makes Hawk Moth’s quest for the Miraculous hard to take seriously, you need look no further than his multitude of akumas that almost seem designed to fail.
I’ve taken the time to note what akumas Hawk Moth DOESN’T create even if it could solve his problems (aka: a stealthy akuma, a Miraculous-locating akuma, or even one that could just heal his wife with no Miraculous or potentially reality-destabilizing wish required). But I haven’t yet fully explored the akumas he DOES create and just WHY they are horrible.
I’ve been talking about this for a while now and I think I’ve pieced together an accurate—or at least coherent list and explanation of what I mean. I have noted four particular categories of akumas doomed to fail and I think they highlight in and of themselves the issue of Gabriel’s horrible lack of planning and why his stated goal does not appear to be his actual goal.

Rewatched Madoka Magica and realized akumas and witches are really similar. Both make contracts believing they’ll become heroes/champions in exchange for a wish, only for it all to go horribly wrong. So I thought I’d try and draw some as witches. and I used some existing witches as inspiration/ref
also bonus pic cuz im too lazy to do them all

A rather long explanation of why I don't like the Bee. Aka why I think making clones would be a better power.
Aaaah. The Bee. That nice yellow comb. Such a nice design I have to say. I remember that time, years ago, when I was still a newbie, when we didn't even know the Fox was a necklace... what a time.
When there were only seven Miraculouses, theories were vastly common. People looked up symbolism and made theories or just decided cool abilities to write with. Then Sapotis, in Season 2, changed the picture. The Zodiacs were revealed and people lost interest because instead of (then) four unknown Miraculous, there were like fifteen to do research for. I understand why some people use common abilities for Miraculouses tho, it's perfectly fine! It's just, I prefer more complex abilities.
I'm a writer, I've been writing Miraculous things for four years. And you all realise how much I like writing about the Miraculouses.
Yeah, so the Bee, there were many theories. I did have a theory that it would be paralysation, but not in a venom sense. It would've been crystalised honey and it could only paralyse an arm or a leg or something. I didn't like it that much so I started searching. Some people gave her flying, building things or even mind-controlling; but what I liked was this one: cloning.
Why?
It makes sense. Bees, along with ants and wasps, are known for their social structure. Bees in particular have some "roles", and they're known for that. What comes to mind is the concept of coordination, at least for me. Worker bees, abundance, collaboration, all that. A cloning power would require someone to have lots of spatial vision, body control and coordination, especially considering my headcanon where the Bee's clones replicate the main Bee's moves.
It made sense. Back when Sapotis was released, many of us noticed something: Marinette's first idea wasn't using the Fox. It was using the Bee. I admit it was such a vague thought, tho. "If the Sapotis clone themselves, maybe Marinette thought about a cloning Miraculous right before realising it would take too much time?".
It is versatile enough for me to write. My criteria for Miracupowers is that they can't make fights too easy. Cloning can facilitate many things, but it can be useless, misused, not needed, and very hard to control. And, most importantly, you can do many things with it. Distract someone? Yeah. Block a street? Probably. Fight support? Totally. Someone has to do a thing in two different places? Oddly specific, but it totally can happen.
So yeah, my version of the Bee functions like the Double Cherry from Mario 3D World. I admit I took ideas from that concept. I find it nice to write and versatile enough to make fights interesting.
But then, the actual Bee appeared. And I hate it. So much.
For me, it doesn't make sense. Since when are bees associated with subjection? However, if we look at the French concept, this makes more sense... kinda. In French, it is the Miraculous of Domination. Queen bees are associated with domination. But I don't really think domination and paralyzing go in hand. It's just... I don't like paralyzation for the Bee, especially since I'd prefer worker bees instead. And, as many have noted, domination works better with wasps! And the new Bee holder is wasp-coded. Canon Bee should be the Wasp Miraculous.
Why tf did Marinette think of one (1) paralyzing opportunity to fight an entire army of Sapotis? If someone has an idea then please tell me because I literally do not understand why they made Marinette doubt there.
It makes fights too easy. Bee totally paralyzes someone for five minutes... and, I guess, and adult user can paralyze eternally? This is totally OP and, unlike the Cat, it doesn't have any consequence. Cat is totally OP, but at least it cannot be abused like that because... people die. But the Bee totally can. Just bring the Bee. Paralyze the Akuma. Boom. No conflict. Unless very specific situations like Kagami's last Akuma which used a tweak of the same power. What do you do with paralysation? You paralyse things... and that's all? Is there any fight application aside from paralysing the villain?
I will never never never work with the canon Bee lmao. I find it so unoriginal and unfitting.
So my Bee represents Cooperation and for someone to be a good holder, they have to have a very developed spatial vision and body coordination to operate properly with their clones, as they imitate anything they do. So they should be a fast thinker and have strong visualization abilities in order to move the clones properly and learn how to fight with them. I think someone like Max would be a good Bee, because he has an amazing maths capability and probably, or at least I headcanon, lots of physics knowledge. So he could plan fastly how to move in order to execute his plan (overall Max is a very nice holder, I think). Or maybe someone like Nath, who is used to drawing movement so he probably has a developed spatial intelligence. And probably sporty people are good, but they'd have to have a strong concentration so maybe Kim and Alix are rather funny. So yeah, Bee!Max and Bee!Nath can work, at least with how I headcanon them both.
Alt!Bee is probably my most solid Miraculous and I feel like I will never change the cloning idea lmao. So yeah miss me with the Rat having it :)
By the way, I hate the Rat too! Why does it have two abilities? Multiplication, which is its concept, AND shrinking. I understand why, don't get me wrong, it's just that Multiplication and reduction could perfectly be different things. And I hate how clones do whatever they want. Does the holder control them? If so, how? Is there a limited number of clones? I headcanon four clones (because Miraculouses are 5-themed, which all the five minutes shit, so 4 clones + holder makes a team of 5) that imitate the holder's movements. I really would like some clarification, especially on the controlling part lmao.
So yeah, I think my rant ends here?
If you've read all of this, I love you. Please comment something. I'm begging you.

There’s some very special new products on sale in Louise’s Jewellery store, and Marinette is lucky enough to be bringing them a delivery! But all is not well, as Ladybug and Chat Noir will have to face off against Louise herself, now known as The Hivemind, an Akuma who turns anyone wearing her jewellery into an army of bees!
Story set in Season 2, post Captain Hardrock Like my previous comic, Love Painter, this is meant to be a light-hearted “filler” episode of the show. So don’t worry, no big plot beats will be made up for this.
The design of Hivemind isn’t 100% set in stone yet, as this current version is very detailed and a pain to draw frequently. But we’ll see how it goes. I’m also trying to figure out how to draw Luka’s dang hairstyle, because, yes, Luka is in this comic, and he will be given more respect than the actual show is willing to give him.

So we have Scarlet Lady for Chloe-Ladybug and Marigold for Marinette-Bee. What would your names be for each of the characters with each of the Miraculous?
Tbh, names aren’t my best suit, since there’s so many combos based on animal and each person’s heritage coming into play. Most of my kwami swaps are from fanfics by @imthepunchlord and therefore their names are also from her stories.
In fact Marigold was originally Abeille Jaune.
A few I’ve named myself:
Bee! Sabrina - Andrena
Bee! Rose - Honey Bee
Bee! Kagami - Mitsubachi
Bee! Aurore - Miss Sting
Peacock! Juleka - Sweet Pea
Butterfly! Chloe - Monarch
Cat! Kagami - Kuro Neko
Fox! Kagami - Kitsune
Turtle! Kagami - Kame Verte
Turtle! Aurore - Shellegant
Turtle! Ondine - Tortue Marina
Dragon! Aurore - Pleut Blue

Miraculous AU/Canon Divergent resource material:
Hi there! I was thinking about some canon divergent situations where the villain held a different miraculous and nooroo was in the hands of Marinette. However, I was struggling to define some elements without opening a wiki page every 5 minutes so here's a breakdown of how Miraculous design currently works in canon and consideration for how the currently shown miraculi could be used in a standalone setting (As of Season 3).
Each miraculous tends to have a similar transformation sequence. For instance; Mr.bug and Lady Noir do the same general motions as Ladybug and Chat noir.
Almost every hero sequence has the character do a swiping motion for their mask, it is always at the beginning or end of the transformation.
The 3 acceptions to this are Carapace, Pegasus, and King Monkey. Carapace and Pegasus's divergence is due to their owner's glasses. King Monkey is less certain but it seems to be due to a more complex headgear.
Adults transforming is a lot less complex, they are changed in an unmoving standing position.
While outfits are tailored to the wearer, each miraculous always has the same weapon which stays the same in appearance.
The peacock miraculous does not have a mask. This is not due to Mayura being corrupted as we see the same look in Fu's backstory.
The power ups are wholely worth ignoring. They've functioned between extraneous to world breaking. The power ups (and unifications) seem to exist to diversify merch and would otherwise not have been included in the story. My reasoning to this is the fact they appear suddenly with no build up, most aren't shown off beyond their debut episode, aren't used where they could be, and were all given to LB/CN at once rather than a slow accumulation over time. LB needing a water power up while also being able to use her yoyo as a rebreather is evidence to this obtuseness.
How each Miraculous could be used:
LB/CN don't need to be examined; Ladybug is fundamentally incapable of being used as a villain and Chat Noir's power acts the same no matter the alignment.
The butterfly Miraculous can make Akumas or create additional aids in fights functioning similar to lending Miraculous to other characters.
The peacock miraculous effects people emotions. It functions pretty much the same to the butterfly Miraculous with Amoks. When not paired with Hawkmoth, the peacock can still create a villain of the week situation. It could manifest weapons for a general criminals/people they manipulated into wanting to harm others. They could also simply summon a new monster at will. For a hero role it would work the same but more likely the user would rely on the target's current emotion and only use emotion manipulation in a theraputic way (ex. Calming the target and addressing the feeling without forcing them to feel that way.)
The fox miraculous is pretty straightforward as we've seen in canon how it can be used for good and evil. Likely unable to act on its own since it isn't offensive in nature though it could be used for Mind Games and Misinformation in a ooc story.
The turtle miraculous is more of a support role. When used creativity, it can disarm a person or trap people. For a villain, this could be holding people hostage or ensnaring enemies in a challenge (such as a flooding space.
The Bee miraculous can function as a foil to Ladybug since they have similar motifs. In a situation on their own, the bee miraculous immobilizes/disarms their opponent. However, this would be hard to use in a villain role as fully numbing the target would be a game over. Would work better if changed to only able to only immobilizing a body part or afflicting over time.
The Dragon miraculous has weather powers. The wearer can easily be used as a standard superhero/villain with melee combat. Would also be hard to catch the owner as they can turn to wind.
The rabbit miraculous is overpowered. If the user is given restrictions either on their own principle or the laws of the universe, their potential would be more reasonable for a regular appearance. In a villain role, it would be more apt for the user to summon a champion from history or have a limitation to how much time hoping they can do. Since Ladybug is a historical figure in the MLU, there could be interesting mashups.
Similarly, the snake miraculous is too powerful. Having a redo button would be hard to defeat unless the redo was finite. Opponents fighting the snake user would need to strategically plan around the ability. As a solo hero, they would need to solve a way out of their situation (think Madoka where redoing doesn't guarantee a good outcome). As a villain, heroes would have to create a plan around someone essentially being able to see ahead into their future.
The horse would be a reasonable opponent against LB/CN. So long as the use doesn't instantly kill them, ladybug's charm would presumably restore everything to where it was including the heroes. It could be used offensively to throw something at their opponent or move their opponent into danger/confinement (which works both ways).
The monkey miraculous has the power to "disrupt" how something normally functions. For a villain role, it would likely be a "oh no the train is out of control" scenario. When fighting alone, the situation is won whenever they stop the other person's weapon.
The mouse miraculous has versatile use. Through multiplication, the user can do reconnaissance, stealthily get into locations, multi task, and swarm a foe. This can be overpowered if not matched against a proper opponent.

Hey, @ether-solrac here. So I was thinking about how the ladybug and black cat miraculous combined are supposed to grant a wish while whenever other miraculous combine you’re kind of just able to use both powers. So I figured I’d come up with some powers that could come from two miraculous users combining their powers or one user activating two miraculous at once.
*Bee + Rabbit = Freeze Frame:
- for 60 seconds time itself is completely frozen except for the user(s).
* Fox + Rabbit = Echos of the ancestors
- an illusionary imprint is created of a past miraculous holder of choice. They aren’t solid so they can’t help fight but they do retain all the knowledge from when they were a holder. This can be a way to get info on a villain that came back or for general advice and training.
*Ladybug + turtle = Biome
-The power of life is infused in an area and the resulting magic turns the area into any kind of environment/biome desired.
Bee + Fox = Astral Purge
- the user is converted into a mental Astral form and allowed to invade a mind with one of a few goals in mind. This can either be extracting a secret, placing an idea inception style, or in extreme cases reawakening a fear to mentally paralyze.
*Rabbit + Snake = Perfect Paradox
- Rather than repeating the same loop until you get the desired result, the user can choose multiple timelines/outcomes and converge those two or three realities into a single reality where they got to achieve everything. (from the outside this would just look like multiple copies of the same person running around but they’re somehow hard to concentrate on until the timelines become one again)
*Dragon + Mouse = Split Charge
- The dragons elements are split between copies that are allowed to fully utilize the one element each.
*Cat + Bee = Weakpoint
-Rather than complete destruction, this power essentially forces a weak point onto the opponent like a glowing red dot on a video game boss. This is meant to be a way to seriously damage something that’s otherwise invulnerable without disintegrating them.
*Turtle + Fox = Hardlight
-while they won’t last as long, all illusions created during this time are hard light and can be felt.
*Ladybug + Fox = Independant shadow
- Can create a single illusion that can act on its own as long as the user has given it some kind of base to go off of.
*Cat + Fox = Fear itself
- an illusion that is seen differently by everyone that looks at it. No matter what you’ll always see you’re deepest fear.
*Cat + Turtle = Wrecking ball
- the shelter becomes a ball and the then converts the destruction power into just a massive amount of force at once.
*Ladybug + Rabbit = Alternate Support
- instead of a lucky charm, a person or object is temporarily summoned from an alternate timeline to help. For example if another of the same miraculous is needed for a plan then another user from AU. (ex. If this were done in the Panthera AU and they needed a second cat then Chat Noir might be summoned.)
Those are all I can think of for now. As usual if people want more I might make another post with more combos.

FUSION IS JUST A WEAK- I’m kidding, I love this dude

Now that we know what canon Miraculous power each of them has and what each kwami represents, what five powers would you have for each of the Wu Xing Miraculous?
Butterfly
Meta, give power to another, one champion at a time.
Butterfly Effect, make a temporary emotion alteration, can change anyone’s mood to happy, sad, angry, ect. When under this, can’t become a champion.
Chrysalis, put up a protective healing dome once.
Social Butterfly, power of evasion, be in sync enough to dance around attackers
Masquerade, transform into another/alter appearance, can transform the user into another miraculous but only use one power from that other miraculous. Cannot use their other powers if they have the butterfly miraculous become a new miraculous or turn into an active miraculous user.
Fox
Mirage, creates a realistic illusion, how complex depends on the user.
Fauxfire, makes a false flame that has a variety of uses (spying, guide, “attacking”, flight, minor illusions so not to waste Mirage on anything small).
Foxglove, transform into another, if a miraculous, can use one power; unlike Butterfly, the Fox can use their other powers still (plays off it being a better master of transformation).
Elusive, power of evasion
Long Shadow, power of possession through shadows, need to line their shadow up with a target.
Bee
Sting, fully immobilize one target.
Pollination, prompt rapid plant growth, plant manipulation.
Beehest, a swarm of magical bees shall restore all, Bee’s version of ML.
Fine Craft, create any tool desired, but one creation at a time.
Healing Honey, offers a honey that heals and rejuvenates, can also be kwami recharge food.
Turtle
Shelter, creates a protective healing dome, can do multiple times cause its kinda dumb to me that Turtle can only put up a protective shield once.
Withdraw, teleports all to safety.
Shell Shock, sends out a shocking blast that pushes away danger and can stun enemies momentarily.
Earthbound, earth manipulation.
Turn Turtle, removes source of power, can be bumped up to cleansing properties though it takes more out of Wayzz.
Peafowl
Ruffled Feathers, telepathically control floating quills to use and attack (Erza’s of Fairy Tail power of commanding floating swords).
Mind’s Eye, visual mind reading.
Fowl Play, creates a golem to serve a purpose, how elaborate depends on the user. Can make multiple golems that they are made through a piece of the tool and every golem made the user will have less of a tool to use.
Surrealean, cause target to hallucinate, warp what they see and perceive. Even if aware that they’re hallucinating, they can’t see past it.
Astral Flight, astral projection. Can be used to spy, possess a target, or appear as an apparition to talk safely with another. The user needs to secure they hide their body in a safe location as it will be helpless and a single touch with bring them back.
