                         Ben’s eyes softened when she said that she didn’t belong her. Of course, she did, he just had to figure out a way to remind her of that. Stepping closer to her he put his hands on her shoulders to make her look at him. “You belong here as much as anyone else does, maybe more.” Ben’s lip found purchase on his bottom lip, his brain wracking for anything that he could come up with to make this better, he’d give anything. “Tell me how to make this better for you.”

                        Ben’s head turned towards Mal when she spoke, an eyebrow raising slightly. Normally they called him when they wanted them to go out to lunch, it made him happy that at least his mother was making the effort to bring Mal into the family, his father was a  different story that could be discussed at a later date or not at all if Ben could avoid the conversation all together. “What time did she say she wanted us to be there?” He stood finally, crossing the space between them, wrapping his arms around her middle. “You look beautiful as always.”

Someone give me a d1 rewrite where it’s Evie who gives Ben the love potion in the cookie instead of Mal, so basically, everything is the same except its Evie instead of Mal.
