Someone be MOM ( or DAD ) to my wayward waif.  She needs someone who cares enough about her to put up with her sass and bullshit and bad decisions and disappearing for days on end with no warning who can be firm enough to lay down actual rules but also genuinely care and find a way past all the Bristle and Snark and Trauma ...

             “ you had to steal his wallet. ” a roll of her eyes is the singular quiet reaction the woman can deliver. in a quick motion most would miss, rose pulls several fifties from her pockets. “ i’ll trade you. that wallet probably carries his license, maybe his child’s pictures, or a social security card. you’re not going to be swiping his debit card any time soon because atm’s have cameras. so hand it over kitty cat. ”

‘ it’s not murder if they deserved it, right? ’

rosalie hale runs steady fingers through her long blonde tresses. the motion soothes her, calms the uneasy nerves in her chest. it is unlike her to worry. she is normally callous with the lives of mortals, especially those of the men. the several that lie dead around her and the child were criminals of the worst kind, those that prey on the weak and the poor. their hunger was for power, and rose could not leave without seeing the look on their hours when they met their match in one woman. 

what caused her voice to go silent was the girl. rosalie’s crimson irises darted over to little cat and grief overcame her. NO CHILD should bear witness to the man’s cruelty, or know how it feels to watch another die, regardless of what they deserved. it is horror that flashes over her features. for once, rose fears her own now trembling, bloodied hands. 

“ it is still death… and you should not be here. ” hundreds of dollars are taken from a hidden stash in the room. doubtless, it comes from illicit activity. rose gives it all to selina. “ go. get the fuck out of gotham. ” rosalie finds a pen and paper and writes down an address. “ you’ll die on these streets. here’s my home in metropolis, and now it’s yours.  i’ll clean up this mess and no one will know we were here. go.” NO one will know about this, and rose begs whatever god that listens that selina will not see this nightmare in her sleep.
