Imagine your F/O comforting you after a nightmare

❤️ If you were in bed together, they wake you up gently when they notice you tossing and turning in your sleep. If you're shaken and/or afraid, they're right there for you to hug or cry on, they'll be rubbing your back and helping you catch your breath as they remind you that the bad dream is over

🐇 If you're not together once you wake up from your nightmare, the second they're able to have you in their arms they'll do what they can to comfort you and help you get it out of your system. However, they'll let you go through with it at your own pace, they don't want to pressure or stress you out

❤️ If the nightmare had something to do with them/your relationship, their immediate reaction is to reassure you that none of the bad things from your dream were real, nor would they ever do/say something like that to you. They love you more than life itself and would never hurt you on purpose

🐇 If the nightmare had something to do with your fears/phobias, they'll help you calm down and rationalize things. They help you understand that the scenario from your dream is extremely unlikely to happen in real life and that you're somewhere safe

❤️ If the nightmare had something to do with your trauma, they won't push you to talk about it in details unless you do it yourself. Your F/O will be extra gentle and soothing with you until you're able to absorb the knowledge that something like that will never happen to you again, that you're somewhere better with someone who loves and treasures you

🐇 If you'd rather not say what the nightmare was about, they understand and try to avoid bringing it up, focusing on comfort and distractions instead. They'll order some takeout from your favorite restaurant and put on some of your favorite childhood movies, so you can have a nice little date right at home!

❤️ Your F/O wants you to know that you'll always be safe with them, both by disputing any bad situations your subconscious may throw at you and by taking care of you during moments like these. They'll never see your need for comfort and care as something dumb or unimportant, so there's never any need to be ashamed to reach out for their help and support, your F/O loves you!

to go shopping together, making a list of what you need, one of you agrees to push thw cart while the other grabs things, maybe you or your f/o is the one to throw something not on the list into the cart, and the other finds it when you're checking out, laughing slightly as you scan it in.

doing the laundry with your f/o, dumping the pile of warm clothes on the bed, maybe there's a show playing in the background, or music, or maybe you're both sitting there chatting as you each fold the clothes.

cooking dinner together. Maybe you both can cook, or only one of you can, or neither, but whatever is the case you're laughing together as you cook, taste testing, sneaking bites as it cooks, getting distracted in each other for a moment, before you realize the timers been going off for a bit.

taking a shower with your f/o, fighting for the warmth of the water, taking turns washing each other's hair, those random shower thoughts you get, you can now bounce off your f/o, getting out and doing skin care together, or just sitting in bed wrapped up in towels as you talk about your night.

such little everyday things that can be seen as so mundane, or boring even, made so much better just because you get to do them together.

They want every day of it to have you mesmerized and as happy as possible, so please remind them to relax and enjoy themselves as well every now and then

❤️ Maybe you both head downtown, or to the mall, and they make sure to buy everything that catches your eye. By the end of it you're carrying dozens of bags; from stationary, to decorations, to clothes and everything else you wish for! Price tags are no issue, they just want to see you smile

🐇 Maybe they decide to take the time to make something a bit more simple but still heartfelt, like hundreds of paper stars, little clay sculptures or even a couple of handmade dolls of the two of you! Their effort certainly shows and you can tell that it was all made with love
