Epilogue
Well, there you have it, folks....the pictorial blog of this winter's group cruise including pre and post photos of our stay in Ft. Lauderdale! I want to thank those of you who took the time to send in their photos to help tell the story. And a huge thank you to Sonia, my technical collaborator, for all her help in putting it together...I couldn't have done it without her. She and I each spent over 50 hours creating it so I hope those of you who were part of this year's group enjoyed viewing it and that it will serve as a fun memento of your 2025 winter vacation!
And by the way, I would be very remiss if I didn't say that we had perfect weather over the entire 12 days of this holiday!
Some of you have asked if there will be a 2026 cruise. I can tell you that I and some others have started looking into that. It is my hope that there will be one next winter so stay tuned for that. Fingers crossed.
And lastly, it was a pleasure to have you join our gang of 52 sun and fun lovers and it is my hope that you really enjoyed yourself and have lots of fond memories! Oh, and in case you are wondering, I will be hosting a Reunion the weekend of July 25th that I hope most of you will be able to attend. I know that our Toronto friends will come up for it. Sure would be great if any other out of towners could come to Ottawa that weekend for a visit. Details to follow.

Sunday - Disembarkation and back to Florida
After picking up our luggage, we all headed off in various directions with a large group of us staying overnight at the Rodeway Inn and Suites back in Fort Lauderdale.

I miss the Horizon already...it was so much fun!

After arriving at the Rodeway, we put on bathing suits and hit the pool for the afternoon.

Before dinner, as I had some wine left over from the Bon Voyage Party, I hosted a final Happy Hour Party near the pool.

This hotel had a really nice outside dining area that we took advantage of for our last dinner together before heading home the next day...

Monique and Betty Ann goofing around...quelle surprise!

Bite me!

Did the Horizon captain follow us to the hotel to return someone's panties? Now that's commendable service! :-)

We drank a bottle of champagne in the van from the hotel to the airport...

As I gazed out my airplane window, I saw the sun setting on the day and on our wonderful cruise vacation with a great group of people!

A gift from LeeAnn that everyone signed sits proudly on my mantle at home. It makes me smile every time I look at it and recall all the fun we had together. :-)

Havana Bar Latino ladies dancing
All week, we enjoyed live Latin music in the Havana Bar.
These Latino ladies entertained us on the dance floor almost every evening we were there...
Now, which one is Sonia, I wonder?

In fine Carnival tradition, during our last dinner on board, we were treated by the waiters to flaming Baked Alaskas for dessert...and dancing, of course!

Dinner and Paula's Birthday
Our "last supper" together on board. :-(
On a happier note, we celebrated Paula's milestone birthday by singing Happy Birthday to her. :-)

Happy birthday, Paula!

Saturday at Sea
As you can see, passengers really filled up the library on board...

Oh, go for it, Paula!

For many years, I hosted an "all you can drink" party on the last day on board and this year was no exception. I also added an Awards Ceremony...

Surprise! Debbie's son Christopher appears with a dozen red roses to celebrate his mom's birthday...Happy Birthday, Deb!

In this collage, we find all the winners of the various categories, too numerous to mention. Just click anywhere on the image to make these photos a little bigger. And then, to get back to the blog, click anywhere in grey area of the blog around the photos.

We also took this opportunity to take a group shot with the whole gang. I know everyone in the group was here because the drinks were free...cheers!

Friday Night
Tonight was the "All White Party" night. Many of us went back to our cabins to change from our dressy outfits to all white attire...
Like several parties, this one had us drinkin' and dancin' in the Atrium.

Our Cruise Director is back up on the bar entertaining us yet again...

After midnight, the ship organized a "Dive-In Movie". This one featured Gladiator II. You can see me below enjoying the movie and a slice of pizza, along with Don, Lise, and "Sam"...

Friday at Sea
Another full day at sea....ahhh!

Cruising has a new trend where passengers hide rubber ducks all over the ship for others to find, and Carnival is no exception. As you can see below, LeeAnn found a huge one! :-)

Sonia found this one way up in a tree in the Marketplace dining area...congratulations!

Afternoon tea, anyone? Apparently, no real men from our group attended...

Kathee and Jim enjoying a stroll out on deck as Tom looks on in the background...

John gazes up at LeeAnn having a ball on SkyRide.

Karie and Paula (in the video below) are challenging themselves on the rope course...many feet above the deck...

Would you believe we can play pickle ball on this cruise ship?

Rock & Glow Party
This was my favourite Carnival party. When I found out that the ship was having it, I suggested that we all bring down lots of glow sticks...

"Hand up, baby, hand up, gimme your heart, gimme, gimme your heart, gimme, gimme "...

Curacao Excursion
Some of our group decided to take a bus tour to see the Curacao city sights and visit a liquor tasting...with dancing fun on the way!
The group stopped to take pictures of the beautiful view of Curacao with our ship in the distance...

The tour included a stop for liquor tasting. Does this remind any of you of another tour featuring wines? :-)

Oh my goodness...she escaped from the homo sapien cage! :-)

Back on board, we are again at the RedFrog Rum Bar on the Lido Deck...
