i filed my name change paperwork with the SSA in january of LAST YEAR and never received my social security card so i called the SSA and they said "we have no evidence of you filing a name change" and i was like okay so i tried to make an appointment with the local SSA office and it took me multiple months to get through to a human person on the phone so i could schedule an appointment to refile my paprrwork and today i finally got through only to have this poor exhausted employee go "you shouldnt have been doing anything in your old name you've Been legally name changed why don't you have a new card" my brother in christ you tell ME!!!!!!
