Do you think they all slip unintentionally, or do you think they have some power over it?

I think that at first it’s pretty much all involuntary, especially in the wilderness. However, as time goes on and especially after they all settle into the house they start to have more control over slipping when they want to. There are still obviously plenty of occasions when they slip without wanting to.

Lottie doesn’t often pick or choose when she wants to regress because once she’s slipped she has a really hard time feeling big again, she doesn’t have much control over it. Tai also doesn’t usually choose to regress - pushing herself to the absolute brink before her mind gives in on her. Van is really good at getting herself out of her regression if someone needs her and she’s not especially upset or scared, Nat is pretty similar. Laura Lee has a lot of controlling when she wants to regress.

can we hear about baby! Lotie and her wonderfull caregivers tai and van? I'm imagining if lottie got hurt or extremely upset

Absolutely!!

- if Lottie got super upset Tai and Ban would be really good at cheering her up. Van would give her the biggest hug and carry her around the room to soothe her, and Tai would talk and tell her soft comforts to make her feel calm and safe!

- if she were injured, Van and Tai would both be super protective and make sure she’s resting and no one is disturbing her or like accidentally bumping into her.

- Tai and Van had been looking out for Lottie even before the crash. In classes when she’d get a little too spacey, Tai would always nudge her back to the present. At parties when fights broke out, Van would pull a teary Lottie away and curl up with her in a quiet corner of the house until she’d calmed down. They were both good at picking up when Lottie wasn’t in a talking mood and speak up for her in group settings. It made Lottie feel really safe around them, and she’d often slip around them.

- Post rescue, Tai and Van aren’t Lottie’s primary caregivers but they are still so good with her! Especially a slightly older regressed Lottie (2-4) even without many words she’s a very silly and playful toddler who never fails to get them both laughing

- Lottie hates sleeping alone so she’ll often climb into their bed and wedge herself in between them so she can get cuddles on either side.

- When Tai is studying Lottie loves to sit on the floor under her desk and curl up for a nap because she just enjoys being close to her.

- Van is always, always carrying Lottie around. Especially when she has a really bad pain flare up.

right now Nat is gently massaging Lottie’s hand, because all the joints feel like they are on fire. Lottie’s in her lap - shuffling every few seconds because it hurts so much. But her head is leaning back against Nat’s shoulder, which is helping to ease some of the pain. Laura Lee is in the kitchen, making up all the nightly bottles, sippies and bed time snacks. Warm Milk for Lottie and Tai, cold milk for Misty, apple Juice for Mari and orange for Mel, strawberry milk for Jackie, goldfish for Van, and apple slices for Akilah. Misty is excited to be helping out (Laura Lee said she could after some of the other girls were leaving her out of their game) she’s being very careful to make sure everyone has their preferred bottle, sippy and plate. She bouncing a little on her toes, hands holding the edge of the counter as Laura Lee pours Lottie’s bottle and tells her she can take it up if she’s quiet. Just down the hall, Shauna is trying to get Tai to bed, the routine has to start a little earlier for her if they want any hope of her sleeping at a reasonable hour. Shauna is glad to help out, she’s had a bit of an off day and is calmed by having a task to focus on. They’ve done bath time, gotten Tai into a pull-up and pyjamas, and now Shauna is helping her make the bed just right. Tai needs it to be perfect every night or else she doesn’t think she’ll sleep well. They are on opposite sides of the bed, Shauna smoothing out the bottom while Tai folds the perfect crease along the top. The playroom is buzzing with semi-sleepy evening play. Mari, Gen and Akilah are playing unicorn academy (Mari’s toy horses attend a school Mari made out of Lego and upon graduation receive horns Akilah crafted out of playdoh). Mari carefully delegate who got which horse to play as, and neither Gen nor Akilah mind because Mari always makes sure they get their favourites as long as she’s in charge. On the other side of the room, Mel and Van are deep in plan to interrupt the unicorn game because Mari said their dinosaurs couldn’t join in. They are whispering conspiratorially (though Van is struggling to keep her voice down and Mel is getting a little bit squirmy because she’s ready for bed). Jackie bypassed playtime and is up in her room picking out her bed time books. She knows Nat and Shauna are both super busy tonight with Tai and Lottie, but she is going to be super brave because Laura Lee promised to do story time and let her stay up the latest. So far she’s picked out Angelina and the princess and don’t feed the worry bug. Wasp is curled up on the bed waiting for her.

Can you do hcs for little Jackie and little misty like Jackie regressing older than misty

Sorry there aren’t many but here are some thoughts:

- Jackie loves getting to be the big sister to Misty!! There’s a sweet spot for them when Misty is 6-8 and Jackie is 9-10 and this is when they hang out the most.

- Jackie loves teaching Misty lots of big girl things - makeup, fashion, going for bike rides.

- Misty looks up to Jackie likes absolutely nothing else! She’s always following her around and copying her, Jackie never minds one bit.

- they play baby dolls together

- Jackie always makes sure Misty is included in group games because the others have the tendency to accidentally leave her out

little nat whos slightly cautious and avoidant of shauna after the wilderness but it doesn't stop her from caring so she'll silently drop a teddy into shaunas lap if she can tell the distant cg is having a tough day

This is so precious . Big Nat is much better at remembering things are different and better now. But little Nat is already skittish, even more so around Shauna. But she still loves Shauna, she still wants her to be ok! And Shauna tends to be left alone on bad days, which makes Nat sad cause she looks lonely! She’d definitely be really quiet, and place a stuffie near shauna while she’s journaling, getting a little more comfortable each time until she can eventually move it all the way to Shauna. Shauna would thank her quietly - as gently as she can possibly manage. Nat would only nod, and move back a bit, hovering a safe distance away. After a while, realising Shauna looks calm and is cuddling the stuffie against her chest as she writes, Nat works up the courage to go sit next to Shauna and lean against her side. This helps Shauna so much and she’d be super comforted!

Hi hi hi! Hope ur day is going fantastically!!! I know u said you’d think more on how Robin, our crying queen, would come into play but I kinda had thoughts on it???? Like in ur safe and sound universe she def didn’t jump in the way the other girls did, but I can see her keeping in touch with like gen and Mel and showing up one day, all teary and small because she realizes that these feelings she get rlly resonate w/ what gen and Mel describe to her as littlespace. And she’s so teary bc she thinks they won’t take her in and it takes probably babyLottie or little!Gen interacting with her for her to realize how well they all live together and will show her that some love + support.

I’m so so glad you sent this! I’ve been meaning to think about her for so long but kept getting completely wiped out by requests ahah! I think you’re completely right - she’d be so hesitant at first. In the wilderness, I imagine she sort of regressed as well but was usually too shy to join or interact with the others much. She’d definitely keep in touch with Mel and Gen, and they’d definitely try to convince her to move in alll the time!

I like the thought that maybe she’s coming into town to visit, because Mel and Gen absolutely begged. But the trip up is exhausting and scary and she gets super anxious about all of it. She stays in her parked car outside of their house for ages, getting so worked up about everything that could go wrong and eventually regressing. Gen is regressed and so excited for Robin to visit so she’s waiting by the front window. When she sees Robin’s car pull up she gets super excited and asks if she can go see her but Tai says to give her a minute so she can come in when she’s ready. After a while passes Gen asks again, a little more anxious this time, and Mel says she’ll go out first to check on her. She finds Robin curled up in the front seat crying and chewing on her thumb nail. She knocks on the window, startling her a little, but Robin quickly lets Mel in. Mel slides into the passenger seat - staying gentle and calm so as not to make Robin more upset. She tells her about how excited Gen is, and how everyone’s been waiting for her. She tells her some recent stories about what everyone’s been up to - like how Nat got promoted at her job, and how Lottie is certain she’s perfected cooking (she absolutely has not). And then she eases into regression things - how Jackie has started insisting on wearing her princess crown all day every day, and Mari and Van built a Lego tower which is at least a meter tall and refuse to let it get taken down. Eventually she gets Robin feeling a little calmer - and even laughing a little when she tells her about how Akilah got herself stuck in a tree trying to rescue a cat (who wasn’t actually stuck at all). She’d finish up by adding - “you only have to be as big as you feel here.” And that would get Robin comfortable enough to come inside - where Gen instantly throws herself at her, asking if she wants to come see her room. And as - without waiting for a response - Gen takes her hand and drags her towards her room, theu pass Lottie on the couch, Nat giving her a bottle. And she reaches out and waves a little at Robin - no shame, no fear. Then everything seems to click. By the time Robin is taken to see the playroom (specifically Mari and Van’s special tower) she feels a lot lighter, and a lot smaller.

- stuffie collector . she loves stuffies soso much , wolves are her absolute favorite

- doesn’t regress too young , usually 9-12 , however sometimes she regresses younger , especially when it’s impure reg

- cuddles . she loves cuddles , and watching a comfort movie / show . she doesn’t like playing as much because she always feels silly , but michael got her star wars legos one time , she she loved putting them together so much that he continued to get them every now and then to trick her into playing

- of course , star wars is a very big comfort to her . she loves it so much and she will happily tell you any fact that she can about it , especially when she’s little !

- michael is her carer of course , and she calls him bear , neither of them really know when it started , but they love it . because of it , michael started calling her mouse because of how quiet she is , especially when she’s regressed . so they’re bear n mouse ! ^_^

- she loves to be read to , especially before bed . sometimes it makes her regress younger , but she doesn’t ever admit that because she’s still getting used to sharing this part of herself .

- MASTER at mario kart . she gets extra competitive about it when she’s little , it’s super serious .

- if she’s little and michael isn’t around , nick & charlie usually are , and will babysit her for the time being . nick will playfully accuse her for cheating on mario kart and she gets super offended as she wins the game for the sixth time

- if charlie’s little at the same time she loves it , because she gets to baby her little brother more than she can when he’s big , even if he pouts and squirms when she ruffles his hair !

- her favorite stuffie is a wolf that charlie got her for christmas when he was 5 , that was when the obsession with wolf stuffies began . she calls him wolfie and thinks he takes away the bad dreams .

Misty is allergic to apples and keeps meaning to tell the others but keeps forgetting until lottie or van make something with apples and she very calmly tells Natalie that she has an epipen in her room and to go get it making everyone panic

This is something she’d definitely do 😭 she’d feel so guilt bothering anyone with anything !! They’d have to have a biiig talk about how it’s not safe after, but Nat would be so gentle and soothing to MSITY despite being panicked.

Hello! I don't have an agere blog so I'm asking this on anon I hope thats okay- I scroll through the fandom agere tag every time I have a flareup to cheer myself up and its always super cool to see your posts!! They are really really good!!!! I couldn't get past ep 4 of Yellowjackets (Because I found it too scary, haha) but the love you put into writing about the team and the very genuine way you approach their chronic issues + regression is super neat even to someone not familiar with the characters like me!!! chronic pain little Lottie who is so used to suffering alone until she moves into The House. Lottie who learnt to keep her tears quiet as a child because if she was too loud she’d be a burden her parents had to deal with. Lottie who spent her days alone in her room because there was no one to play with her. Lottie who lived her life thinking she was ‘too much’ and ‘too hard to care for’. Lottie who never really had anyone who made her feel safe or valued.

And then suddenly - she’s surrounded by people who just want her to know how loved she is.

Van who carries her up and down the stairs so she isn’t left out when her legs are too sore to walk. Jackie who sits by her bed and plays quietly so she’s never alone. Nat who draws with glitter pens all over Lottie’s sore spots to make her smile. Gen who braids her hair - and Akilah who lets Lottie slump into her arms to help her sit upright so her hair can be reached. Tai who researches and finds every possible solution to help ease some of Lottie’s pain. Laura Lee who misses out on countless outings but always promises Lottie she’d rather be home taking care of her. Shauna who comes into Lottie’s room on nights when she can’t sleep, pulls back the curtains, and tells her stories about the stars. Mel who does dozens of drawing to stick on Lottie’s wall so she has something new to look at each day. Misty who always brings home new kids books from the library with lots of pictures for when Lottie is having a hard time with words. Mari who despite being so scared of medical stuff, always offers to take Lottie to appointments so she never has to be alone.
