unpopular opinion: sometimes... fandom isn't that important. sometimes fandom isn't "that deep" to someone. sometimes people don't interact within the fandom and like to watch from afar. sometimes people just want to look at cool art or read cool fanfics, and that's it.

let's normalize fandom being a hobby or an interest and not a lifestyle. normalize taking a step back, taking time off and disconnecting from fandom without feeling bad. it's okay and healthy to prioritize yourself over media instead of consuming it 24/7. it's okay to set boundaries and enjoy something the way you need.

An idea I had regarding BotW 2

So, Ganon’s corpse is in Hyrule Castle’s basement, right? Well, for one reason or another, I thought that, in a very twisted and possibly torturous way, it reminded me of the Shrine of Ressurection that Link was in at the start of the first game.

This led me to think, “well, the original battle was 10,000 years ago. So this maybe wasn’t the first fight. Which means there were another 4 chosen heroes of Hyrule. What if the Gerudo hero 10,000 years ago was Ganondorf?”

So, new addition to the Rehydrated Ganondorf:

He was the original champion of the Gerudo, and as such sees these two very young reincarnated heroes as friends, since technically he was friends with their previous incarnations.

I love the concept but noo my fragile heart can’t take it. Was already hesitant and anxious to fight the blights in the first place, what more when it becomes a personal conflict? I love and adore them!

Sooooooooo what about a revali + all the other champions become corrupted or possessed by the blight and malice instead of just their divine beasts? i honestly feel it was a wasted opportunity to make the battles more 'personal' and raise the stakes and the battles do get a bit repetitive overtime

Actually I changed my mind so here’s a quick Revali. Since all of these were essentially train doodles that I never really put too much thought into, I’m going to do definitive/refined versions of them at some stage to do the idea justice (hopefully before I return to university in a couple of weeks)

Urbosa | Mipha | Daruk

(It may have gone unnoticed by some at first, but it’s definitely in there. It’s apparently morse code of . . . - - - . . . that translates to an SOS signal. This is the isolated audio of it, but the placement and style of each signal in the tracks themselves are quite telling of the characters.)

Vah Ruta: SOS comes in immediately and is quite loud. Mipha is the most pacifistic of the Champions and would have been the first one to call for help. She’s also more a healer than a fighter and probably stood the least chance of defeating her Blight. She was likely the most terrified in their situation.

Vah Rudania: SOS also comes in immediately but is fainter than in Vah Ruta. Alongside being the least technology-inclined champion, Daruk has a strong sense of family and protection. He likely projected his fainter than the rest as he didn’t want to worry the others.

Vah Naboris: The theme starts out with a jolt of piano keys, followed by the faintest SOS of the four. Urbosa is very proud and, like most Gerudo, was very battle-inclined. Combining that with her Fury means she likely would have lasted longer in her fight and not sent out the SOS immediately. My idea is that Thunderblight was too fast for her and overwhelmed her. She would have been strong enough to defeat it otherwise, and the faint SOS was her attempt to send it as she bled out.

Vah Medoh: Although coming later into the theme than the others, this SOS is most prominent and the fastest. Revali likely lasted the longest in his fight and his prideful nature meant he thought calling for help was underneath him. But he even he was overwhelmed and eventually swallowed his pride to send the message. A comment I read explained it the best. “Revali’s call was rushed. It was frantic and panicked. It was a call only someone who knew they were going to die would make”
