Exercise #9: How's it going? Write an honest answer. 200 words.
I’ve been feeling very stressed, to be honest. Since my eighteenth birthday that happened a couple days ago, I’ve been thinking a lot about how will my adulthood turn out to be, and it’s just making me feel highly anxious and scared. I don’t want to think about it because of how it’s affecting me mentally, but I can’t help it.
Especially, I'm thinking about college. It sounds highly intimidating because I feel like at that point, I'll just constantly get assigned work and it'll be too overwhelming for me. Even would my professors help me—understand that my learning disability is something that can make me have a difficult time handling my education at college.
Also, where I'm studying at is three hours away from my home and I have to take the transportation bus and then the coach bus to get there. With the former, I have to go through about thirty one stops. That's crazy. I fear that with the traffic and such, I won't get to my classes in time or I won't have the time to do my homework at night. I can't afford getting into dorm, and my mom won't let me have a roommate.
Then I'm thinking a lot about the job I would get because, honestly, even though I wanted to study on Behavioral Science, I don't know if there is really a job out there that I will enjoy in the end? Like, I like the concept of helping people in need, but will any of these type of jobs truly give me joy? Let alone will I even get a job?
In conclusion, I've been feeling really frustrated and tired of myself. It's been some difficult time.

Exercise #8: What should a teacher be?
A teacher should be someone who is willing to be gentle and kind towards their students, even if they are being rude because they may need assistance in terms of their attitudes. If they express respect to students who are uncooperative and such, as well as be patience with them, they may find inspiration in their actions and improve themselves.
A teacher should understand that not every students would be in a good mental state to do the work they’re assigned to—at least some of them. Everyone have their own struggles, as well as they may have something to handle after school, like jobs or taking care of their younger siblings, so a teacher need to make sure their students would get a fair treatment for the sake of their mental health.
A teacher should listen to their students. If they call them out on their flaws, they should acknowledge it and let them know they will improve. If their students need help for their work or personal problems, they need to listen and support them. Every students have different skills, so not everyone can understand what their teacher teach, and the teacher may be someone who a student can rely on if they don’t have their guardians or such.

Exercise #5: List six sentences that begin with the words, “I’ll never forget.”
I’ll never forget the time when I carried my little brother for the first time.
I’ll never forget the time when I was 11-12 years old and I tried to do one of the breakdance moves nearly upside down and ended up hitting my head to the floor before I got sent to the hospital.
I’ll never forget the time when I graduated in grade six.
I’ll never forget the time when I stayed in Vietnam for six months.
I’ll never forget the time when I met Casey for the first time.
I’ll never forget the people who made my life more brighter.

Exercise #4: "Did she actually just say that?" Write a scene that includes this line.
Even though today was a day of icecream slaughters and slow melting skins, Darius decided to drag his unfortunate boyfriend, Felix, over to the park because they needed a “quick break” from working on the case they got—
“Darius, we were assigned to this case just a few minutes ago,” grumbled Felix. Though, he was a bit stronger than Darius, he couldn’t shove him off when Darius kept pulling his entire weight down. So, the least Felix could do was talking him out of his laziness.
“Relaaaaxx, Felix,” said Darius. While Felix was not relaxed at all, with his dumb scowl and the jazz, he continued anyway with a huge grin, “I need to get some good ol’ sweet for my sad tummy, otherwise, how am I supposed to work properly?”
Felix rolled his eyes for what would be the twentieth time since they left their workplace. “The only thing you need is a good ol’ smack on the fucking head,” he hissed. “Dude, we have to work on this case now. You can’t just swipe our responsibilities under the mat the moment we get them.”
Darius didn’t reply back, only humming to the tune of the Tetris game, much to Felix’s annoyance. By the time Darius got his treat from the icecream truck, they noticed a lady passing them by with a phone in her hand.
Felix tensed as he observed her. He noted how her eyes kept shifting over to the sides and her head was lowered, the hat covering her face. He glanced over to Darius who was also checking on the lady. They exchanged a knowing nod before they focused on the lady and followed after her.
“Yes, I got the golden diamond,” said the lady. She stopped by her car and gave a last look around the park before she got onto her seat with a, “I will meet Michael there at 2pm.”
Felix widened his eyes slightly, realizing they just came across with possibly one of the thieves. He managed to catch the license plate before it disappeared among the wave of vehicles. While he pulled out his phone and typed the details up, Darius kept licking on his icecream. “Did she actually just say that?,” he asked. “Holy shit, babe, I think I got the lead.”
Felix shot him a look, because he’s an asshole. “You mean we got the lead?”
Darius also shot him a look, because he's an asshole too. But a bigger one. “Uh, it was my idea to come here in the first place and you kept whining your ass off, so because you’re off of the working chart, no, I got the lead.”
Felix smacked the icecream off of Darius’ hand.
“MY BABY, NOOOOOO!”

Sleep·less
/ˈslēpləs/
Adjective
I. Characterized by or experiencing lack of sleep. An important thing you can not get for your weeping body when you have to complete your assigned work that is due on the next day. Or is it the depression that keeps your redden eyes all wide and open with its saliva dripping over to your cheeks? How about the nightmares that sinks into your mind and leave you shaking ?What about the fact you are having too much fun partying over your loved ones’ homes or playing with your technologies, bearing little care to the dark, dark world?
II. The state that makes you wonder what is it really like to sleep.
III. 3am. Will we ever know if it is a time or a place?

Prompt 11: Use that one word theme as the title of your next piece of writing.
Yearn·ing
/ˈyərniNG/
Noun
I. A feeling of intense longing for something. A feeling that crawls beneath your skin, tearing through your tender flesh before it settles within the core of your chest. Slowly, it sinks its sharp teeth into your organs, and your lungs begin to squirm and your heart begin to sob.
II. As Time and Nature hold your rough hands, each step you take, something peels off inside of you. Your twitchy fingers seek for anything that can fill those holes up, but you only find yourself digging them deeper and deeper until there is nothing left of you.
III. It is a feeling that grins, that consumes.

█████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████

FULL DIALOGUE VERSION LOCATED BELOW
“Good morning. I didn’t think you’d up so early.”
“You know what they say, early to bed, early to rise and all that. If you’re not in a rush, would you like to sit?”
“Yeah, sure.”
“How long have you been fishing?”
“Oh, I’ve been here long enough. It's nice to have some company for once, though. What are you doing up so early, if you’re so surprised to see me here?”
“I had a nightmare. I needed to go out for some fresh air, but I just didn’t think that people would be…here at this time.”
“Ah, that’s rough. Care to talk about it at all? If you’re comfortable, that is. You don’t have too, but if it’s bad enough to get you up and about this early in the morning, it might be better to get it off your chest?”
“I would rather not think about it. But I appreciate your offer… Er, maybe to help clear the nightmare away from my mind, you can teach me how to use…that.”
“You…want to know how to use a fishing rod? Ha, a barely know how to use it myself. Give it a try. You just…throw it out there, I guess. And hey, don’t hurt yourself, kid.”
“…Throw it?”
“Um, like that?”
“That’s, uh…that’s not what I meant by throw the fishing rod. By throw it, I meant cast it. But, um, maybe that’s enough fishing for now.”
“Oh…”
“Walt, are - are you okay? Do you want… my jacket?”
“I, um—if it wouldn’t be too much to ask… It’s cold out, and my coat is soaked from being in the lake…”
“It’s no problem… But… yeah, sorry that you had to, you know, get the rod.”
“You’ll definitely need to get yourself some new clothes. I don’t want you to get sick and all. I don’t have much on my schedule, so, I don’t mind coming by to your house—if you’re okay with that.”
“I don’t have much going on today, either! Although I suppose there’s rarely much going on around here, anyway.”
“I would be delighted if you’d accompany me to my house! I live right around the corner, and, um, would prefer not to freeze in my clothes in the middle or spring.”
“Then let’s go to your home.”

Exercise #1
Theme: Craving
The world is now carried by the soft palms of May, I see. Oh, May, bless our tongues with your fresh, ripe fruits that leaks rich sweetness, and our ears with your feathery companions that sings so loudly and passionately despite their little lungs. We dearly miss the caresses against our skins and the smiles that brightens our planet. May, please, let us breathe freely, let us have grasses beneath our feet and flowers between our teeth, giving us the strength to reach for the stars at the glorious night.

Just because that online test said that your best chance at being happy is a situation where everyone already likes you, but they mostly leave you alone except when they’re delivering food to you… that doesn’t mean you can hide in your room and wait for that to happen. That’s how hermits are made, Mae. And they die alone in the middle of winter. Waiting for pizza from friends they don’t want to see.

hot take, and please understand that i love and respect him so much, but those suits john mulaney wears do so much of the comedic weight-lifting for him, it is un-believable.
i mean, here comes in this sweet-lookin white boy, in his tight little suit, all starched collar and neatly steam-pressed lapels, with a face like every high school valedictorian your mom wanted you to date, and he smiles and looks you dead in the eye, and says, “eat ass, suck a dick, and sell drugs.”
of course the crowd loses its goddamn mind. what a fucking icon.

i learned that if while standing, you raise and slowly rotate your right foot in a clockwise circle, and then write the number 6 in the air with your right hand—your right foot will suddenly shift in the opposite direction. This is due to how your brain codes for movements on the same side of your body. (x)

i’ve seen a lot of good character dynamics on my dash recently but there’s an excellent one i think you’re all forgetting: two people who are the smart, sensible voices of reason respected by their peers for their level-headedness and intelligence when they’re apart, but who turn into unholy chaotic disasters with zero impulse control as soon as they join forces
