Case 2
Creature name - the Chupacabra
Location - Puerto Rico
Threat status - proceed with caution
Class - vampire
The chupacabra received its name from the locals by stealing and exanguinating their goats. No current known unprovoked attacks on humans, but has been assessed to have the ability and will to attack when threatened.
Standing 6ft tall with long thin limbs and spikes covering its back, the chupacabra has been compared to a lizard-human hybrid. It has scales and reptilian eyes, but the most noticeable feature is its giant circular mouth filled with long teeth used to puncture even the thickest of skins.
The Chupacabra leaves a distinct mark on its victims; a perfectly circular puncture hole around the neck area.

“The lizard guy? Yeah, he’s been stealing my goats. We found the heads of them, just the heads. Massive hole on the side. Not sure what it was but thought that it needed to stop killing my livestock, so I stayed up at night to catch the ***** and shoot it. I thought I was dreaming when I saw this giant lizard -bout the size of me- creeping out of bushes and then standing. Up right. Like a human. Was whack. I thought it was an alien at first, looked like them alien comics my son likes. I must have moved or something, the thing stopped, stared for ages with those weird slit lizard eyes then turned and ran away. He hasn’t come back since because I haven’t lost any more goats, so best leave it alone. I don’t wanna upset it incase it’s dangerous, yanno?”

Case 1
Creature name - the sigbin
Location - Philippines
Threat level - dangerous
Class - vampire
The sigbin is a creature that can be seen only by the eyes of those deemed ‘innocent’, such as children or animals. Standing on feet that face the wrong way with large dangling ears and a tail that can be used as a whip, the sigbin is invisible to adult humans. Commonly latches onto the prey’s shadow and draining blood from there to slow them down, once lethargic enough the sigbin will go for the fatal strike.
They emit a foul odour that can be nauseating to humans, for this reason they attempt to cover the scent by hiding in foul smelling environments. If a foul smell makes you feel sick, get away from that area as quickly as possible.
Sigbins are incredibly dangerous; if you think you are in the presence of a sigbin, run.

“I was walking with my little brother, he had disappeared hours earlier and our mother sent me to go and find him. The sun had set 3 hours ago. The streets were lit by dim, often flickering, lights. I grasped my brothers hand tightly, scanning the area for anyone that could be following us. We didn’t live in the best part of town.
My little brother suddenly stopped, muscle so tense that his lack of movement pulled our arms taught when I did not notice and continued walking. When I checked him, he was looking at something. Like he’d seen a ghost -no, no, worse than a ghost. I think his brain froze too, stunned, not processing… something. I looked around but I saw nothing. Then this wave of nausea hit, like crashed down on me. I thought I couldn’t breathe. It was disgusting -the smell that is. I can’t even begin to describe -it, it’s not fathomable. All I could think was how not to puke when my brother screamed, shrill, piercing scream. I thought that it was the sound of his soul passing out of him through his mouth. We had to leave, something wasn’t right, we had to go. I clenched my grip on his hand and ran as fast as I could the other direction, he could hardly keep up. I practically dragged him along the floor at one point, his knees got all scuffed up, he couldn’t find his feet.
We made it home but I can’t say unscathed. At first he was blubbering, mouth popping open with ‘b-b-b’ sounds coming out. His eyes were still as wide as they were before, face still frozen in shock. The only thing moving was his mouth. He didn’t say much, over the course of an hour all me or mother could get out of him was something about a dog -no, goat man with ‘wrong feet’. Turns out that’s thing we ever got out of him, he hasn’t spoken since. Not a mutter.
Please sir, you have to help-“
