hey fellow Europeans (EU), just a friendly and mildly concerned reminder that in less than a month, the European elections are taking place. it's an election with a historically low turnout, but one that is just as important as any other, if not more. the composition of the EU parliament determines the political direction of the EU, and has an impact on all 27 countries through directives and regulations that get voted.
we cannot let far right extremist parties get an even bigger stronghold there than they already do. sadly, there are very significant threats of exactly that happening from many countries.
so please, if you are an EU citizen living in the EU and are of voting age, check the modalities to vote in your country of residence, and make sure to make your voice heard.
one of the biggest lies social media has ever sold you is that you can’t be prejudiced against a minority if you’re part of that minority
queers can be homophobic
trans people can be transphobic
black folks can be anti-black
disabled people can be ableist
jews can be antisemitic
we all have biases to unlearn
all this to say, i would love if we could kill the idea that just because you have a few people from a minority endorsing your behavior or ideology doesn’t mean that your behavior/ideology isn’t fundamentally flawed or even bigoted towards that minority
tokenizing doesn’t become good just because it’s for something you agree with
Child abuse is a big problem, so it's important that we don't let children communicate with adults except their parents and other official authority figures. Everyone knows the best way to prevent child abuse is to keep children isolated and ensure all their communications are controlled.

Palestinians in the 1948-occupied territory march to the sites of the pre-1948 villages of Hawsha and Kasyer marking the 76th anniversary of the ongoing Palestinian Nakba, today.
The March of Return occurs yearly as a commemoration of the Nakba, the “catastrophe” in Arabic, when armed militias, which would later become the Israeli military, expelled 75% of Palestinians from their homes and lands to establish the State of Israel.
Each year, Palestinians commemorate the Nakba in this symbolic demonstration at the site of a city or town that Israel destroyed in 1948, honoring the Palestinians who were violently uprooted and demanding that one day all Palestinians in exile can return.
I'm not like Mad at anyone who does this and I'm obviously not in charge of how anyone else tags shit on their own blogs, whatever, but it's always bummed me out when my sex Ed posts get reblogged and tagged with 18+, minors dni, etc. personally I actually very much want teenagers to learn about their bodies and safer sex but I guess I'm just the guy who wrote the thing.
