I personally headcannon that Charles’s temper was much worse when he was in his teens. He hated his temper because it reminded him of his father, so he tried to pretend that he didn’t have any feelings. However when he was younger and emotional control was still a struggle, he’d often lash out in unhealthy ways. Like he tried to be a calm person and not cause fuss, but if anyone said anything to him that he didn’t like, he’d start swinging. Obviously he grew out of it, but it’s still something he’s insecure about. He didn’t want to be an angry person because that’s not who he is, but there’s this angry part of him he desperately tries to suppress. However usually when emotions are super high, his self control of his temper disappears. After his anger is released, he is swallowed by guilt. He spends time trying to correct his actions, but it’s nothing he can fix. He let his anger go, he had the reaction and his actions cannot correct it.

Random Charles Headcannons because I’ve been neglecting my boy on this account.

He has terrible posture. He’s been sleeping on the ground for 14 years minimum his back HURTS and he’s gonna slouch.

Frustrated cryer. He doesn’t get super frustrated often but when he feels stuck doing something he cries.

Hates being bad at something. He oftentimes relies on his "natural talents" but if he has to learn a new skill and is bad at it, he'll lose motivation.

Can take blunt force like a champ but cannot handle piercing pain. Needles are his worst fear.

Bites his nails to the quick. Consistently calloused and unmanicured hands.

Worst patient. He will overwork himself, make himself worse, and then have to be down even longer.

He likes to sit with cats in town and just play with them. He loves cats.

I’m going to Florida so I’m gonna try to finish the drafts I’ve been meaning to.
