Season 4 was really like...Eddie Munson is having the worst week of his entire short, senior-year repeating life. Also, former jock king Steve Harrington is here. And guess what?! Alongside being agonizingly hot shirtless, turns out he's actually nice! And protective! And a badass, just like Eddie's snot-nosed freshmen recruits said he was! So what else is a little gremlin gay boy to do except flirt with him shamelessly?? Eddie is literally a mixture of Nancy and Robin, the two people Steve loves or has loved. How could I NOT think they’re perfect together? The writers literally set up the perfect narrative for Eddie to be introduced as Steve’s love interest. Steve just can’t find the right girl to make him happy. He has a lesbian best friend that can help him understand bisexuality. Then there’s Eddie, a guy who looks like his first love and acts like his platonic bestie who he previously had feelings for. The set up is RIGHT THERE. But no. Thanks to heteronormativity they decided to go back on character development and have Steve want to get Nancy back in the most awkward and uninteresting way. The frustration is real.

I need Steve and Eddie to be bitchy to Murray, in like an united front, I need that. They would kill the absolute fuck out of him. Even if Murray called them out for the tension between them, look me in the eye and tell me one of them wouldn´t be all "how do you know we aren´t together already?" and the other wouldn´t play along?

Together they have the highest level of charisma of the party. They would pancake his ego to the ground and laugh while doing it. I see it happening by calling Robin out for her crush on Nancy and them not wanting for her to be outed like that.
