heyo, it's been a minute, huh? a while, actually....

i'm sorry for dropping off the face of the earth for...months. a lot's been happening in my life, but as of right now, i'm doing okay.

the last few posts on my blog were all scheduled/queued, so the truth is i haven't been on here since early November.

the simplest way to put it, is that i've gotten a lot more involved in my local community and political activism. it's been rough, with everything going on, and tbh it's not going to get any easier anytime soon.

since october: my long-time partner and i broke up, i've been involved in several very.......spicy legal situations during a few pro-Palestinian protests, been to the hospital a few times, and... a friend of mine unexpectedly passed away....

overall, i'm fine. not GREAT, but fine. i'm functioning, i'm doing everything i can to help other people, and trying not to get burnt out.

that being said, i am TRYING to pace myself more atm. i DO NOT want to get burnt out. i really cant AFFORD to get burnt out.

i'll probably go back to just reblogging silly shit like i used to. i do really enjoy tumblr, despite the very VERY glaring flaws. i've been "active" on twitter, but i definitely need a break from that platform.

it's been very hard to find some level of balance between activism and "having fun". it's hard to shut my brain off with fandom stuff after witnessing some of the most horrific things imaginable.

but, it's almost necessary for me to do so. it's absolutely a privilege to be able to "log off", and i recognize that. but also, you can't help other people without helping yourself. if i don't take a break, either i'll burn out, or my old struggles with addiction will become harder to fight. or both.

for those searching my blog for any updates on my fanfics, i WILL finish them! i love writing, and i want to get back into writing something FUN and something that i CREATED.

anyway, if you've read this far, i hope you've had a good year so far. i hope you're all doing well, and i hope you're staying strong. i love you.
