So within two days of each other, Fox News writes an article comparing aromanticism and asexuality to pedophilia, and then Matt Walsh releases a video saying asexuality is a mental illness and asexuals are tricking teenagers into having depression.

Not sure what’s going on right now over in Conservative World, but it’s a hell of wild U-turn for them to suddenly switch from “Oh no! The left is sexualizing our children!” to “Oh no! The left is asexualizing our children!”

If copyright really is an issue in Palworld’s case, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company will act. We all know how protective they are of their IPs, so I’m just going to see what they decide on (since they have acknowledged Palworld exists) and if it’s different enough legally (including if counts under parody law), and until then, I’ll just chill out after my initial anger-fueled hasty judgement and not be that judgemental.

Especially since Palworld is indeed more like Ark with some Pokemon influence than any Pokemon game.

Fun fact; you can be a fan of both things.

I say this for the example of I see a lot of people gatekeeping either Palworld or Pokemon or Digimon even.

I'm a fan of all three but recently i joined a discord server and the topic came up and I explained how I like all three and several people started going off about how I can't take all sides its a war and i have to pick one side. I promptly left but it remained in the back of my mind for a while, so here I am rambling about it.

Despite all three franchises/game being vastly different things with only the overarching "creature collector"

Below is kind of a why each is unique/me rambling about it

Pokemon is much more kid friendly, fun bright world with over 1000 pokemon to collect, it's very casual, very relaxed, I like it because I can relax with it. I don't have to focus too hard on stats or specifics, I just use the pokemon I like. It also has shinies which to many people are a selling point. I love shiny hunting, it feels the most rewarding between all 3 games.

Digimon is much more complex. Much more in depth and a lot more serious in terms of themes than pokemon is. A massive variety in its games and their gameplay, much more prevalent in its animes than pokemon is. Wide variety in evolutions and paths your partner can take. I like the one partner aspect of it, it feels a lot more personal than pokemon or palworld in that.

Palworld is much newer, but it's probably the most unique out of all three. The survival aspect is amazing and I love how it takes cutesy creatures and intense weaponry and mixes it. Many people say 'oh you enslave the critters and overwork them and abuse them!!!' but that's kinda not true. While it's something you can do, it's discouraged heavily. Your base functions more like a small village of critters working together to prosper and they get food and take breaks and sleep at night. It takes a heck of a lot of going out of your way to even slightly overwork them. Personally I'm a fan of having this small village of creatures and surviving together. The combat is so much different than the other two, taking a one on one approach that can be super fun!

Anyways, my point is, don't gatekeep. Enjoy all three games. It's not that deep.

ive been seeing a new wave of transmedicalists lately I think we gotta start being vocal again about how nasty they are. you don't need to take hormones or have surgery to be a trans person. changing your name and pronouns is gender affirming care. wearing new clothes and hair and makeup is part of transitioning too. you dont need to pass to be trans, you don't need to be male or female.

nonbinary, agender, genderfluid, genderqueer people are trans too if that's a label they want to use for themselves. and anyone who says otherwise is a piece of shit. it's not "anti-transitioning" to say so, it's anti-telling other people what to do with their bodies. it's pro-minding your own fucking business and letting people do what they want with their gender and treating them with compassion and enthusiasm

The war in Sudan has reached its 10th month. The war has been met with a global indifference or there has been no desire to act from many world leaders.

8 million people have fled their homes and millions of Sudanese people have emergency food insecurity, with 5 million people on the brink of famine. even the neighbouring country Chad has had to declare a food insecurity emergency due to the mass amount of Sudanese people that have fled to Chad. (By no fault of their own of course)

Faced with a media blackout which is over a week at this point we need to continue to amplify the voices and plight of the Sudanese people.
