⭐️ hon&maeve
Privately, Honoura plays a game of Two Truths and a Lie with anything Maeve tells her. It’s not that she thinks Maeve is a filty liar just… everything is so outlandish. And she seems so nonchalant about it. You’d think the redheaded hyur had no sense of awe. Which made less sense to Hon than the idea that Maeve was just incredibly adept at bullshitting and felt the need to do it whenever the temptation struck her. It’s impressive, and it leaves Hon always, always, always wanting to ask if what she just said about the Warrior of Light was true, or utter bullshit.

⭐️ sylb&maeve
Thinking that she could use some sound guidance, Sylb once secretly subscribed Maeve to a Limsa based newspaper that runs a weekly advice column hoping that she would learn a thing or two from the youth who writes it.
He didn’t expect to get hooked on the column himself, however, and now comes into the office a quarter bell earlier than he needs to just so that he can pour over the column on Maeve’s desk before she gets in.
He has no idea that she’s the one who writes it.

PROMPT #15: PLATEAU
“Come on, just a few more steps,” coaxed the physical therapist. “You’re almost there- would you please put that thing down?”
“Uh, sure, when I’m done with it,” Maeve replied. She’d stopped in mid-lumber through the therapy course to pull out her newly upgraded aether-tablet, which she preferred to the tomephones that were starting to go around because, you know, it was bigger. “How exactly d’ya expect me to focus on anything if I don’t know how much the Bucs beat the Sharks by?”
Her therapist drew a deep, calming breath through his nose, letting it out through his mouth. Pahhhhh. Sometimes he needed his training for other people and sometimes, most frequently with Maeve Hunter, he needed it for the sake of his own sanity. “The score isn’t going to change between now and five minutes from now, is it?”
“Have you still not learned I’m always right yet?” She finally reattached the big tablet to the slot on her belt and started to limp again. “Oh, and by the way, why am I not walking right again yet, anyway? You estimated I’d be off the crutches a month ago.”
The doctor winced. He’d been hoping, evidently in vain, that she wouldn’t remember that. “Well, Maeve, a building fell on you. It’s not an exact science.”
“Uh, yeah, I remember, I was there.” It was, as always, hard to tell if she was actually upset or just complaining for the fun of it. “I’m amazing with or without the use of my legs, don’t get me wrong, and yanno it’s hilarious being able to hit people with my crutches, but I was just hoping for more and it’s clearly your fault because I know it’s not mine.”
Deep breath in, slow breath out. “Well, maybe if you didn’t get distracted by that thing 20 times a session-”
“Diiiid you not hear me say it’s not my fault literally fifteen seconds ago?” Step, grunt, land, don’t fall over. “Cause I know I was speaking Eorzean.”
DEEP BREATH IN SLOW BREATH OUT. “Some people hit a plateau during their recovery. It’s just a matter of hard work to get past it.” He looked up from his clipboard and- “Please put that thing away!”
“Hey, did you know every time you talk I hear the sound that plays when the avatar in my game dies?”
“I hate my life.”
“I mean, fair.”
