It took me 3 years and so many threads to finish this piece. (Also, hi. It's been a million years since I posted here.)

I have thoughts about Clow Reed's bell that's used by Kaho during the Final Judgement. They work so different in the anime and the manga, which is so interesting to me? In the anime, Kaho uses it so Sakura can reflect Yue's control over Wood and to give her another chance of beating Yue. However, in the manga, it goes really into depth about Clow being a seer, how he knew Sakura would be the future Master of the cards, so he made the bell to merge it with the staff. I like the explanation of the bell and how Clow did foresee Sakura as the chosen one, which would have been nice to have in the anime to explain why Xiaolang doesn't also get this chance, but I have mixed feelings about how it changes the staff.

The staff's transformation is way more powerful in the anime, there's such an emphasis on Sakura's positivity and how her kindness is ultimately her greatest weapon, so I'm really surprised that wasn't a role here. I feel like the direction for Clear Card makes more sense knowing how Sakura got the Staff of Stars deviates between the two mediums, since in the manga version, it’s technically not her own and Clow’s influence is still there, so they heavily state that the Clear Cards and the Staff of Dreams are hers. However, in the anime, especially after she managed to create the Hope Card, the Clear Card arc feels sort of unnecessary. She’s already been able to use her magic to create new cards, to make an entirely new staff for herself, and then the Clear Card arc just replaces it all?
