having more knowledge of susies backstory now ive been thinking abt how both in the pre-canon incident that noelle wrote out on her blog (ik its stated to not be canon but i think its really interesting so im counting it) and the intro of chapter 1, susie specifically mentions toriel as shes targeting kris. it already felt implied to me before that she felt jealous over kris having all that support and love from toriel, but now im pretty sure thats how she really felt, now that we have a few more hints that her own home life is....not great. but where earlier i thought it mightve been like a vague jealousy based on what interactions susie mightve seen between kris and toriel, now we know she literally experienced that kindness from toriel firsthand, and so maybe she felt a lot more personally about kris' seemingly nonchalant demeanor towards her/most people (which we dont yet know about those being their own actions or the souls?) like, did she think they were acting like theyre above her? that compared to her they probably have a great life and relationship with their family and are undeserving of toriels goodwill?? and toriel would be better off without them??? i really want to know

Anyway my point being that at the end of chapter 4 when she comes back to kris' place and finds toriel drunk and completely carefree and clueless about kris' whereabouts or wellbeing (after the two of them went through. Quite Literal Hell) and her entire image of toriel of being this perfect parent thats always looking out for kris like she thought just. shatters. i wonder...did susie feel even more guilt about how she treated kris....how she said all those blatantly untrue things about toriel when she had no idea how bad kris' family situation actually is (cause im sure she also noticed all the uhhh. no-so-subtle Hints™ during their adventure in tv world). that she just jumped to assumptions about them just to maintain her own image and her distance and her own gain Just Three Days Ago...... yeah i probably wouldnt be able to face kris either and just get out man. What the hell

........what on earth did kris say back to her back then during the incident that shook her badly enough to make her bolt out. I Really Want To Know.
