On the trends today, not just today because what I’m about to give you is meant to last.

The weather in this region of Nigeria is so hot that I began to ask questions like “fans that no longer blow out common heat, common heat o, is that one a fan sef, mtcheww” and a friend commented saying “if the heat is common, why not blow it yourself” – yeah quite amusing but let’s face the fact. Is the weather that hot in your environment? I visited a hotel the other day and while I spent the night there, their generator could not power the air condition but fan. I discovered that the fan was blowing but I wasn’t feeling it even though I had spent some good time in the showers, I was still sweating borehole on my skin such that even laying on the tiled floor that’s supposed to have at least some atom of coolness – still to no avail. To even worsen my nightmare the generator ran out of power by 2:42 am, you needed to see my frustration for the rest of the night – floors hot, room over-room-temperature and to open the windows that has no net means that you’ll give the mosquitoes a feast on you.

Have you ever noticed that when the room is actually too hot, the fan blows hot instead of cold air, obviously where’s the fan supposed to get hot air from- brings me to the question “where does AC’s get cold air from in a hot environment to blow?” You see even in cars, when you’ve driven a long distance, before you park, just open your bunnet and see the extremely hot air the fans there are blowing and then if you should ask a friend of mine he’ll tell you this, “when you see such things happen, you’ll know that this world is not your own o”.

So how’s the weather in your environment like?

Note: Fans make things cool, but they don’t make things cooler. Okay?
