Every once in a while I’ll find myself watching something that makes me go “wow, there was a whole group of people that came together to make something beautiful.” It’ll remind me of why I want to pursue animation. That’s how I feel about Craig of the Creek. I feel like I’ve already talked ad nauseam about my love of the show but I really just wanted to say thanks again to the creek crew for creating such a magical show. From storytelling, to writing black characters in such a humanizing, compassionate and loving way that warmed my heart. Words can’t even fully describe how much this show means to me.

To anybody who worked on the show if you read this. no matter how big or small your contribution was to the show, I hope you walk with pride in your heart knowing that you worked on something special. I wish you all nothing but the best moving forward.

This won’t be the last time I draw Craig and the creek kids lol but I wanted to take the time to draw what I think of when I think of cotc.

Truly, thank you for showing how beautiful life can be.

I lost my baby after 6 months of hope… No words can describe the pain 💔💔

I share this update with a heart weighed down by sorrow and heartbreak…

We are still living in the heart of catastrophe. Ongoing starvation, fear, and the lack of safety have destroyed what remains of our humanity. We lost our home, our jobs, our dreams… we lost the life we once knew!

I lost my baby after six months of pregnancy. Six months during which I awaited his birth as a sole beacon of hope amid death and destruction. I held onto him as a symbol of a new beginning… but he left before seeing the light of day. 💔😭

The miscarriage was difficult and painful. My body could no longer endure. I became unable to move, and my health has sharply deteriorated. My heart tears apart every moment I remember that I lost my baby…🥹

My family and I are now suffering from severe malnutrition. We’ve lost a great deal of weight and can no longer find anything to satisfy our hunger. We need flour, basic foods, nutritional supplements, and urgent medicines so I can regain my strength and care for my child and family who are still alive and struggling every day to survive.

I know you have never hesitated to help, and you have always been a symbol of humanity. But today I write to you with the last strength I have left… because my life and the lives of my family are in your hands.

Your support now means life for us… it means we have not been forgotten in this hell.

From the depths of my heart, Please not leave us alone in these moments.

Sarah needs someone to listen to her and be there for her and see her for both what she is and who she is. Someone who can help her embrace both. it's why her relationships with Erica and Ethan are so strained. Sarah is very avoidant and never addresses the actual root of her problems which is why she struggles so much with internal conflict. the closest she comes is in Independence Daze when she's forced to face her biggest fear - herself. And her friends too are reluctant to help her unpack her emotional baggage. Erica is apathetic (wants what's best for her but doesn't care to try and understand why she doesn't wanna be a vampire), while Ethan is afraid. Afraid of the half of her that she herself running from, which is why Ethan could never help her learn to love herself. he treats Sarah like a regular human, which is what she wants and a big part of why she likes Ethan. But ultimately he's infatuated with the idea of her and is inept when it comes to actually helping her work through her vampire-related problems. Ethan almost likes to pretend that part of her doesn't exist UNTIL it's useful to him and she needs her to fight the new monster of the week. Again, he loves the idea of a shy but headstrong half-vampire girl who he can solve mysteries with, but neither of them are equipped to actually deal with Sarah's issues. Of course, Sarah herself is forced to come to terms with it all and although she still desperately needs to go into vampire therapy, by season 2, she's accepted her fate while Ethan is almost upset that she's found such confidence in herself and her identity - especially bc she did it without him.

Before the war, I was a hopeful and hardworking computer science student. I graduated high school with 95.4%, was top of my class in university, and had just been accepted to work with a software company. I had dreams—big ones—to finish my degree, work hard, and one day build something of my own.

But everything changed.

The war destroyed my home, my university, my work, and my future.

We had two houses—one was completely destroyed, the other heavily damaged. My room, where I studied and worked, is now unrecognizable. My father's years of hard work disappeared under the rubble.
