oh, how he had truly missed her. if there was one person that loki truly loved aside from his dear elder brother, it would be sigyn. she had stood by his side through everything no matter the pain that he caused. she had stood by his side through all of the punishments he’d been forced to endure throughout his long years of life. sigyn had always been there, by his side. no one could ask for anything more. things were different now. he was different. though he had all of the memories from his previous life – he remembered loving her. perhaps he could again, if she were willing to know him in this new life. loki would certainly like that. the smile was stunning, radiating. it was enough to sweep anyone off their feet, even the former trickster god. “i don’t think i’ll ever be able to understand how you could. the other me was – he wasn’t a good person. i’m trying to be better now. i’ve made mistakes, i already have regrets, but i am trying.” and continue trying the god would. “i don’t blame you. asgard never was a welcoming home for either of us. we never truly belonged. migard has currently become my home. i’ve joined a team – the young avengers. heroes trying to make a difference in the world.” smiling softly, loki reached out for her hand. “i could show you around, perhaps?? you have to try milkshakes. they’re beyond delicious.”
in truth , she didn’t know loki. not this one , at least. her husband and the one that she had spent centuries with had died. she had mourned him. while he was a different version of her husband and may have had all of the memories , he wasn’t truly the same person. he looked different , seemed different. but at the same time he was loki and she could , in fact , imagine herself learning to LOVE him once again. she was starting to enjoy midgard , it was so different than what she was used to but she found that it was also beautiful and there were so many DIFFERENT types of people. not just humans , but people from different worlds just like HER. sigyn had always seen the good in loki , even if he couldn’t see it himself or if he did so many things that would make others think that he was a monster. she always had faith. “ that’s good , all you can really do is t r y , “ she didn’t comment on him questioning how she could have loved the old loki. she didn’t have en explanation , she just DID. she was happy that he was trying to be good. to be better. she wasn’t BLIND to loki being not the best person in the past. she was just able to look past that and love him. she smiles , happy to hear that he had found a home on midgard. he was right about asgard never being very welcoming for EITHER of them. odin had even killed her own children due to his HATRED of loki. and yet , she tried to be optimistic. “ it sounds like you’ve made a very nice life here , “ sigyn smiled , truly proud of loki. “ would you ? “ sigyn smiled , taking his hand. “ a milkshake ? now i’m intrigued. “

“ they have a DISCOUNT depending on your age ? i am over two thousand years old... “ sigyn said the last part a bit under her breath. but she did wonder if she could get away with such discounts. “ i do not see a problem with that , if you’re old you have to get all of the perks of it as well. “
“i don’t see what is wrong with bring one of the old guys for a senior discount at the movies. It saves me money, it saves them money everyone is happy! Except for maybe the workers but working at a movie theater is no dream job either.” By one of the old guys Natasha means Barnes or Rogers and she was fully willing to argue with employees over their ages and how it should count despite neither of them looking a day over twenty nine.

ITS REALLY JUST AN EASY FEW steps from there, from stephanie using her phone more than what was probably recommended. “ here, this is cheerleading. ” and yes, it’s a scene from bring it on.
“ oh , “ sigyn nodded , looking over the others shoulders so she could see the video. “ that is... QUITE INTERESTING , you can MOVE like that ? “ she knew very little about humans but what she did know is that they weren’t super flexible.

“A lot of things about Midgard are confusing,” Thor confessed, laughter escaping him at her expression. “But it’s a lovely place to be.” Things were both much simpler, and so much more complex on this planet, and Thor admired the humans for their resilience despite all odds. “What brings you here, anyway?” he finally asked, arms crossed over his chest as he looked over at Sigyn. “I couldn’t imagine you venturing all the way out to Midgard without reason.”
“ i can see that, “ she hadn’t quite thought about the big reason W H Y she was here on midgard. she had only left asgard A FEW TIMES over the centuries that she had been alive for. perhaps she was getting restless and needed some sort of change in her life. she had thought her husband to be dead until recently and every part of that palace reminded her so much of him. it was HARD. she had an odd relationship with asgard. sometimes , she felt loved but other times she felt like a true OUTCAST , especially as someone who was not even aesir. “ i suppose i needed a change is all , no worries. “

its-godofthunder:
Thor knew he’d find friends on Midgard, distractions to keep his mind off his troubles back home. Sigyn, however, was not one of the people he’d expected to find. “Not all humans,” he explained, a soft sigh escaping him as his gaze followed hers, arms crossed over his chest. He understood her feelings - Earth had been puzzling to him, and to some degree still was. “There are some, of course, who are ignorant and foolish and don’t consider the consequences of their actions. But for every foolish human, there is at least one, if not more humans who value their home as highly as we value Asgard.”
sigyn was INCREDIBLY SURPRISED to see thor. sure, she had seen her... ( husband ? ) she had seen loki b u t she didn’t think that she’d see THOR. she shouldn’t have been so surprised, but she was. she wondered if anyone else from home would show up in chicago. “ that is... utterly confusing, “ she said with furrowed eyebrows and a soft sigh escaping from her delicate and PINK lips.

“ EVEN COOLER, THEN. ” and whilst she’s not amazed ( steph’s best friend, is indeed an alien ), it didn’t take away the COOLNESS of it all. “ that’s it ! here, hand it over. i can pull up some videos for you of cheerleading. ”
“ OH, “ sigyn nods and hands over the device, still not TRULY UNDERSTANDING the purpose of it. perhaps loki wouldn’t mind showing her.

“ if i am NOT COLD then i do not see how it is any of your CONCERN, “ sigyn made a face. what was it with people she didn’t know thinking that they had some kind of authority over how she dressed ? humans, truly, were a species that sigyn did not understand. on asgard, though it was always quite warm, everyone wore whatever they wanted without anyone QUESTIONING them.
“ — i’m not SAYING that you’re a moron , “ levi speaks quietly , twisting his hands in together , “ i just don’t think it’s ALL TOO SMART to wear such short shorts in this weather , especially if all you’re going to do is BITCH ABOUT being cold. ” bright blue eyes flicker to the ground , a frown on his lips. “ just saying. ”

this was awkward. it was to be expected, though, considering that this was his wife…ex-wife that he hadn’t seen in far too long. seriously, what were they now?? loki didn’t have a single clue these days. he had died more than once but he was alive now. how did any of that work in regards to marriage?? gods, he was going to get a headache just by thinking about the situation. “you always were the one that stood by my side no matter what i did.” and loved him despite the things that he had done. “so, uh – what are you doing here on midgard anyway?? must be a reason. it’s good to see you, though. after so long.”
when she SMILED, FLOWERS GREW & THE SUN SHONE BRIGHTER. that’s what most people said about her. she was absolutely effervescent and radiated beauty and kindness, even when being married. she had never once spoke ill about her husband ( ex-husband ?? ) or thought badly of him. she had loved him so much– did she still ?? she wasn’t quite sure. he was different now, she wondered if he remembered loving her. sigyn smiled, that radiating and flower growing smile. “ i always saw the good, “ she replied honestly. she still did. maybe it was a curse of hers that she always saw the good in loki and not the monster that everyone else did. “ asgard was becoming tiresome, “ she was getting restless there, not quite fitting in. though, she never quite did. she wasn’t even an asgardian. ” so i thought i would, ah, travel. i never did think that i would see you here. it’s good to see you too. “

the lady has a point. but she clearly doesn’t know who these humans are yet. her shoulders lift in a shrug, “i mean, WELCOME TO EARTH, i guess?? you could say that it truly is the realm of trash and waste. apparently that’s what we’re good at.”
“ how... INTERESTING, i suppose. “

this was not what loki had expected upon waking up this morning. it could have been any asgardian at all – hela, he would have taken sif and had her punch him if it meant prolonging this entire thing. what was he supposed to say to her after how long?? sorry for everything i did, that’s not me anymore. right. that would go over so well. “uh – just the really terrible ones, i guess?? the heroes aren’t exactly cracking down on people who litter.” smooth. real smooth. “okay, i know i look sort of different but i imagine you’d still recognize me, yeah?? didn’t think i’d see you on midgard.”
sigyn BLINKED, trying to listen to his words but not really able to actually pay attention to any of them. gods, how long had it been ?? too long. “ i suppose, “ her smile softens. she’s not quite sure how she was supposed to even REACT to seeing her... husband ?? ex-husband ?? she didn’t think that she’d see him, in truth, midgard was a big place and she always thought that the places that him and thor frequented the most was new york. “ well, yes, OF COURSE, i’d recognize you no matter what you looked like, “ she nods. she knew loki in all of his forms. she had been able to sense him when he looked completely different.

“ WHY THANK YOU ! ” a wide grin is returned upon her pink lips. “ — let me guess, not of this earth ? we’ve all got a few of those. you got a phone ? ”
“ not even this REALM, “ sigyn shrugged, brushing her dark hair behind her ears. “ a-- you mean one of these things?? “ she questions, holding out what was indeed a cell phone.

‘ yes. and most humans aren’t worth much more than their litter, really. ’ she’s no stranger to big cities, new york born and raised, the smell of a diesel truck is far more familiar than that of flowers, unless of course, the flowers were fake. ‘ it’s not so bad in some other cities. ’
“ -- oh ?? “ sigyn was needless to say, surprised by the others words about her own planet and her own people. “ but, most cities are SIMILAR to this one?? “
