I’m Audie, a fat, disabled nonbinary person who suffers from chronic pain and chronic fatigue. Because of my disabilities, I’m typically homebound and often bedbound. I live out of one room, and my bed is the only place I have to sit. Right now it’s a very cheap frame with no real support, a box spring that is rapidly breaking down, and a roll-up mattress, none of which were designed to support my weight. The failing support is causing my pain to get worse and interrupting my sleep, which is having a detrimental effect on my mental health.

I’ll need about $75-100 for a new frame, and $150-200 for a new mattress.

Grenzgang is the kind of thing that I want to like but then I remember I don’t like crowds, loud noises, being touched (which is inevitable in crowds), and I’m not particularly fond of the outdoors.

Also I’ve been sick a lot lately and I hate it. It’s the weirdest thing? I get nauseous and headachey and I feel like I only half exist and I want to cry a lot and I feel dizzy and light headed and I hate it

Underwater Ballet, Anne Ten Donkelaar

Dutch artist and product designer Anne ten Donkelaar arranges and photographs flowers underwater, thus capturing a “silent image of a spirited dance.” 

In this series, titled Underwater Ballet, the artist’s floral “ballerinas” dance and seemingly float around in still waters. They dreamily pose and sway, thoroughly hypnotizing us all. This stunning picture is just a glimpse of ten Donkelaar’s magical reality.
