Hot Walgreens Pharmacy Tip: There are almost never 2 callers ahead of you. If you call and ask for the Pharmacy, it automatically redirects to a call center, where you must wait for an hour for the "two people ahead of you" to finish. After that, it usually automatically hangs you up after failing to find you someone to talk with. This has been my experience almost every time trying to get ahold of any pharmacy department.

I now know that it's not the pharmacy's fault, as they will never even get a notification telling them someone is calling until that first hour passes.

Instead, call the Walgreens and ask to speak to the manager first to get around the ai clanker, and then politely ask that person to transfer you over to the Pharmacy Department.

The music will change and the wait time will actually reflect a reasonable answer time.

Did you know that JRR Tolkien wrote an unpublished epilogue to Lord of the Rings? It's achingly, beautifully wistful in the way that only Lord of the Rings is. I revisited it recently because I'm guesting on my friends' LOTR podcast, and THAT reminded me that I drew a comic of the epilogue back in 2021 (all text is entirely canon). Anyway I thought folks on this website might enjoy it!
