the kid is fully having a panic attack on the floor of the bathroom, contents of his bag scattered. heavy breathing, red face. totally losing it. he's asked the performative 'are you okay's', but received no response. twice. so, selfishly, aubrey's abandoned the pretense of being helpful. even more selfishly, the pair could not stop talking about how it's ruining their lunchtime smoke session. it hasn't stopped it, but the vibe does suck.

"smart," aubrey answers, already toeing the kid's wallet a little closer and unfolding it. "his name's ridley. apparently." never heard of him. and this is not the wallet of a kid that goes places that are fun. "oh. a robinson." this makes aubrey smile, humming their little jingle and cutting himself off as he notices an incredibly key piece of medical equipment on the floor. "oh shit," he says through a stellar laugh/cough combo. he kicks the inhaler toward the increasingly purpling kid and grabs the lone twenty from his wallet, tilting his head toward the door. "for our life-saving services."

on his way out, aubrey tosses his joint into a toilet and grabs jude by the arm. "good luck, kid. keep moving forward!"
