The Prophecy Begins x The Guardians of Ga’hoole

dreams are unique to the person who’s producing them’s psyche, so no two are alike by design. while starclan cats can just astral project their existence into any mortal cat’s dream they are completely at the whims of that cat’s mind, and are subject to change based on said cat’s bias and perception of the world around them and exactly which starclanner they are talking to. the starclan cat’s purpose can become altered; any message that a starclan cat is trying to send through dream walking can become contorted and misconstrued, clouded by the intricacy of the brain they are intruding in.

this is why, although any cat can receive a starclan dream, the connection that medicine cats specifically have with them is considered to be special. the visions that they receive are said to be the 100% unadulterated gospel of whatever message starclan is trying to send without being filtered through the outside influences of another cat’s psyche. starclan dreams are not to be taken at face value; there’s a strong possibility that this cat might only be hearing from starclan mostly what they want to hear.

Farewell: celebrating the Warriors fandom.

In light of the end of Ailuronymy running as an active resource (more information on that here), I’d like to dedicate this last month to the best part of this blog: you! 

Ailuronymy couldn’t have been what it’s been without the fantastic questions that have been sent in over the years, or the generously shared Guest Warriors-ifies, or your kind support and enthusiasm. 

I think this blog spoke to what many of us feel (myself included, naturally), which is our love of what the Warriors series could be. There are so many innovative, creative stories being told by talented, passionate writers in this fandom, and I’d like to use this month to spotlight some of what’s so wonderful about this fandom–and I’d appreciate your help!

For the rest of February, please submit links to your favourite fan-works for Warriors so that other fans can find them too. I will provide an outline of possible submission formats under the read-more below and I encourage you all to please get involved. Feel welcome to send your submissions in anonymously if you feel more comfortable doing so! Feel equally welcome to share links to your own work, if you’d like to. 

For many years, I’ve wanted to build Ailuronymy into a supportive, creative space for fans of this series (and its potential) and I’ve always been proud and delighted by what a thoughtful, kind readership this blog has amassed over the last decade. I’d like for this blog to end on the note I always hoped it would become, which is a space for celebrating fan creativity and supporting writers who are having fun with this weird, silly world of cats.
